Our DM is using Wildemount book for new campaign. He found the Fateful Moments section and figured those would be a nice addition to our characters (if we want one) to add a bit of spice between leaving home and joining the party.
So I got "You were kidnapped by bandits while traveling between towns. While captured, you met an old thief who helped you escape. You have proficiency with thieves’ tools and proficiency in the Stealth skill."
This would give me proficiency with Thieves Kit and Stealth, which my character does not have.
When I add a feat and put in 2 modifiers for Proficiency:Stealth and Proficiency:Thieves Kit, it will only add the Stealth mod.
(Previous mistakes on my part, I added the Proficiency:Thieves Kit and accidentally added Proficiency:Ability Scores....Which added both)
Am i missing something or do I need to make 2 feats, one for each Proficiency?
The Thieves' Tools proficiency will not appear under your list of Skills unless you add it directly to the character sheet as a custom skill like this:
I just rechecked the character sheet. I made no changes since before my post and now everything is where it should be. Must have needed a bit before the changed feat would update my Character sheet.

If you look on your character sheet under “proficiencies” it should list your Thieves' Tools under “tools.”

Yes. After you re-save a homebrew, it can take up to 15ish minutes to push changes to the character sheets.
