Hello! I have made yet another sorcerer subclass, this one being a bit strange. These are similar to the Divine Soul Sorcerer, but are an arcane version of that subclass. Hold on, I know that sorcerers are already arcane, but these are even more arcane. They could have been the child of a famous wizard, a simulacrum spell gone wrong, or possibly the animated clone of some powerful mage. There are many ways for these sorcerers to come into existence, and due to their connection with arcane power, they are very good at spellcasting, and can cast spells more easily than other arcane casters (including other sorcerers). I would love it if you could give feedback, here is the subclass information:
When the spark of magic that resides in every sorcerer manifests itself due to a connection with the source of arcane magic, an Arcane Soul sorcerer is made. Many origins of this arcane bond are possible, most coming from some ancestral arcane power. Possibly a distant ancestor was a wizard who created a famous spell, maybe now named after them. Or you could have been born at the moment and in near proximity of the casting of an epic spell. Maybe you are reincarnated from a powerful master of magic, with some of that residual energy changing your new form.
An Arcane Soul is seen with contempt by many mages and powerful arcana clerics. As a user of arcane spells, Arcane Spirits sorcerers can be seen as cheaters in the Art of Arcane Magic. They are almost never viewed as true masters of magic due to their power being innate. Clerics, Wizards, and Warlocks who practice arcane magic have to give up time and resources to earn their power, and Arcane Souls were handed this power freely, even if they still must cultivate and train this power.
In some societies, families that have bloodlines of Arcane Soul sorcerers are looked up on, being placed higher in status due to this blessing. In these communities, arcane power is valued, and those who do the least work to achieve this power are honored for their connection to arcane magic.
Arcane Magic
Your link to the arcane allows you to learn spells from the wizard class. When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn or replace a sorcerer cantrip or sorcerer spell of 1st level or highter, you can choose the spell from the wizard list or the sorcerer list. You must otherwise obey all restrictions for selecting the spell, and it becomes a sorcerer spell for you.
In addition, your inherent arcane abilities allow you to know more spells than usual. Choose two spells of 1st level (or higher at later levels) from the wizard spell list when you first gain this feature. You automatically learn those spells, and they don't count against the amount of spells you can learn. You learn an additional two spells this way at the following levels: 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th.
Spellborn Luck
Starting at 1st level, when you make an ability check, you may add 2d4 to your check total. You may do so after you see the roll, but before the DM determines the outcome. Once you have used this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
Empowered Arcana
At 6th level, the arcane energy coursing through your blood can strengthen eldritch power. Whenever you or an ally within 5 feet of you rolls damage dice for a spell, you can expend 1 sorcery point to reroll any amount of those dice of your choice once, provided you aren't incapacitated. You can only use this feature once a turn.
Spell Master
When you gain this feature at level 14, your inherent power over arcane magic allows for you to more easily cast spells. Whenever you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st-level or higher, you may do so using an amount of sorcery points equal to the spell's level, instead of expending a spell slot.
Additionally, when you cast a spell by expending a spell slot, you can regain 1 sorcery point. You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), regaining all uses when you finish a long rest.
Wrought with Power
Starting at 18th level, your fuel of magic increases in times of need. As a bonus action, when your current sorcery points are equal to or less than half your maximum amount, you can regain half of your maximum sorcery points.
Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you take a long rest.
Thanks for reading, and please leave any of your comments down below.

More subclasses! keep em coming. Flavour wise, I love it, and it seems (mostly) balanced.
Arcane Magic
This is good. It is powerful, and kinda goes against the grain of the sorcerer, but it fits the bill.
Spellborn Luck
As the sister to the divine soul, I like the similarity. Good feature, but you need a reword on the second bit, explaining what spells you can take at higher levels. For example;
'.....You automatically learn those spells, and they don't count against the amount of spells you can learn. You learn an additional two spells this way at the following levels: 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th. These spells can be of any level that you can cast.'
Empowered Arcana
A free empowered spell is nice, and fits the bill. Again, I love the similarity to the Divine soul.
Spell Master
The one ability that needs a rework IMO. As it stands, this is extremely OP. Both abilities are good flavour wise, but the first is just too powerful. As it stands, a lvl 20 arcane soul sorc can cast 3 9th level spells without any kind of rest. It needs to be made so that you cannot cast high arcana spells (6th level and up) IMO. Also it should definitely not be an unlimited use ability, or there would be no point in using spell slots (See the spell slot to sorcery points conversion table). Here is what I would do:
' When you gain this feature at level 14, your inherent power over arcane magic allows for you to more easily cast spells. Whenever you cast a sorcerer spell of 1 5th level or lower, you may do so using an amount of sorcery points equal to the spell's level, instead of expending a spell slot. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you take a long rest.
Additionally, when you cast a spell by expending a spell slot, you can regain 1 sorcery point. You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), regaining all uses when you finish a long rest. Any sorcery points gained this way are lost after taking a long rest.
Wrought with Power
Makes sense thematically, I like it. For a sorcerer capstone, it is on par, and I think it works well.
Well done on another great subclass!

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
I love the amount of flavor you put in to your work man. okay... lets see...
Arcane Magic - Overall just a solid feature, plus it's different enough from divine soul that I don't have an issue. Also, I don't think you need to add the snippet that bovine suggested because that should be implied per they become known spell to you, but I might just be trying to simplify where it doesn't need to be.
Spellborn Luck - Bovine might like the similarity to the divine soul, but I think it's too similar. I understand using a subclass as a base and building from there, but the features shouldn't be this similar. Though that's just my opinion, not sure if anyone would agree. Maybe instead of this feature you can add a feature that can help regain spell slots on this feature (I'd also suggest possibly a feature to regain sorc points here instead of later but that fact that you don't gain sorc points until 2nd level kinda eliminates that as a potential alternative) but if you go with this option, you might need to adjust some of your other features.
Empowered Arcana - I'm actually pretty mixed about this feature, on one hand I don't like it because I think that this feature steps on the toes of and can be seen as getting the "Empowered Spell" meta magic option for free, but the fact that you can "empower" your allies spells is an interesting feature idea that I do like.
Spell Master - I do agree with bovine that this feature is currently over tuned. I don't think that you need to limit this once per long rest, but this should be limit to spells of 5th level or lower. Now for sure you don't need to add bovine's added snippet for the sorc point regen, unless you want to change that part of the feature to you gain an additional sorc point instead of regaining a sorc point.
Wrought with Power - On my initial reading I was hoping for an Archon form (like the wizard class in Diablo 3 or the Crit role's Runechild capstone), but what you got here works just as well since you already gain the ability to cast spells with your meta magic too.
Overall, I love the idea you're going with and I appreciate that we're able to help you out with this subclass.
On an unrelated topic, can you add links to your homebrew to your signature so it's bit easier to look at your stuff.
Arcane Magic: The divine soul sorcerer's Divine Magic kind of goes against the grain of the sorcerer, so *shrug*
Spellborn Luck: Thanks, I'll add that rewording.
Empowered Arcana: Yeah, it's meant to be powerful. Thanks.
Spell Master: Maybe I should change the first part so you can expend sorcery points when casting a spell so that you can cast it at a higher level? Like, casting Fireball expending a 3rd level spell slot, and adding on 2 sorcery points to cast it at level 5? Would that be better?
Wrought with Power: Yep.

Idk, that is still powerful....I think if you think of it more as a cheaper spell-point exchange it would make more sense.

Arcane Magic: I'll just simplify the text in the next draft. Thanks!
Spellborn Luck: Yeah, I initially wanted to add a feature related to sorcery points, but realized the same issue with this that you did. I don't know what would replace this feature. I agree that it's a bit on the nose.
Empowered Arcana: Any ideas for a replacement if you don't like some aspects of it, or any way to change it a bit?
Spell Master: Yeah, I'll nerf this a bit. Thanks!
Wrought with Power: Yeah, I thought this feature fit. At 20th level, that's an extra 10 sorcery points. That can really help this sorcerer do "sorcerer-y" things.
(I'll work on that. I'm not exactly sure how to do that, but I think I can figure it out.)

I like this! :D I do really like the 14th level ability. What I would suggest is at earlier levels allowing the sorcerer to only be able to use this ability to cast spells lower than 2nd level, with a greater sorcery point cost. The cost and the tier of the spell slots could increase gradually until level 14. I think this would be really fun for players to have and would add uniqueness to the subclass.
(Does the homebrew have to be published to link it in your signature?)
Edit: I think I figured it out. Let me know if it doesn't work. If it doesn't, IDK what to do.

Any “dndbeyond.com/my-whatever” will always show people their own.
