when making a weapon under create a magical item you have to chose a base weapon, but that base weapon determines how much damage a weapon will do, but what if i dont want it to have that same base damage. i cant for the life of me figure out how to do that, the closest ive gotten is modifying the damage bonus and even then im not entirely sure how i did it plus when i did modify the damage bonus it didnt work right and instead of doing +4 damage the item had +1 damage, so conclusion i cant figure out how to change the base damage die how many damage dies it will use and how to properly edit the damage modifier.

um you can just say something like [harder club] which is a d8 and then select a longsword instead of a club for the base weapon.
We cannot change things like base damage or range on homebrewed Magic items at the present time.
