"I could enhance stealth and silence as I did before the fight with the Shaman's group?"She looks to Gruenic to explain quickly as he wasn't present at that time,"It would make all affected much more at one with the shadows around them."(+10 stealth and not trackable unless by magic)"I can be selective as to who is affected by it, but it should help evade the trap. Someone else would need to be the attention getter possibly but if you want to be seen, I don't think it would shield you. I've never tried."(could avoid the hidden aspects by 'trying' to fail in the silence area of stealth and just focus on not stepping on trap? If DM allows)
Garavant makes his way down from the statue and accepts the blessing from Gruenic. "I thank you," he says.
He thinks for a moment as the discussion turns to how to get their enemies out the door. "Another way to get their attention and get them out the door would be for somebody to knock and call out that they need help with some meddlesome adventurers. Sila and I can be hiding on either side of the door in shadow and strike when they come through or when they fall. So...does anybody speak Orc?"He turns his head back to Gruenic and raises an eyebrow.
"Yes, I can speak orc. That's a thought, to lure them out. Do you think they know about the trap? Likely so..." Gruenic scratches his head. "Let's get ready and do something, I worry if we are waiting here too long. Just tell me what you want me to do."
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Garavant, do you think it is possible to make something that reenables the trap after you ran across? If so, I think we should stick to our original plan. Worst case they come out and we handle them as we did the others, I don't think we need to much of an advantage anyway"
Garavant thinks for a moment. "Resetting the trap will take time, I'm sure," he says. "I'll either do it now, or we just go with the falling statue, slipping orcs, slashing blades, zapping spells approach. The more I think about it, I say we should not trigger the trap. Also, though of course it is highly unlikely, I might mess things up and trigger the thing while trying to set it!"
" Are we done yet? " Lucy taps her foot impatiently. " We're in an orc's den and I haven't heard screams of pain for nearly 10 minutes. It's bad for my beauty and health, you know? In my opinion, a simpler plan is the better plan. And the fast one is the best. So let's tie the dwarf and open the door! "
Sila nods at Garavant and Lucy, "I think we're running out of time, let's do it like this." Sila looks to see that the ice is ready, rope is tied and down out of the way where they won't tread on it with Gruenic holding the other end. Bree, Garavant and Lucy in position on the other side of the ice. Sila opens the door, looking completely alone and making plenty of noise just as she opens it and looks through.
(if she sees potential enemies, she'll give a semi loud shriek of surprise ensuring they see/hear her, but not attracting things from elsewhere and rushing to Gruenic then along the edge past the ice once she sees that he has the statue.)
Garavant finishes tying the rope around the statue and jumps down, landing like a cat. He darts around the corner, passing the end of the rope to Gruenic as he goes.
The half-orc stands braced against the far wall of the corridor, opposite and facing the statue. He takes up the slack on the rope and gets ready to pull with all the strength that Selune can grant him.
Lucy pours the foul-smelling liquids over the floor and waves her hand over it, freezing them and forming a wide patch of ice in front of the door. She follows Garavant around the corner to where Breewaits, reciting her prepared spells and reading the runes stitched into her bright dress.
Silagets the nod from her colleagues and sets her stern face into a more neutral expression before swinging the door open with a loud creak...
@Sila:
Inside you see five orcs and a hulking great orc-like creature. They appear to be stood around piles of equipment, wearing armour and halfway through planning an operation of some sort. They hear your deliberate noise and look up, startled at first and then angry. The large one bellows something in brutal orcish and they all unsheath weapons, moving to attack you.
@Gruenic:
Almost as soon as Sila opens the door you hear orcish voices discussing tactics. They cut short suddenly as they notice the half-elf monk intruding on their discussion, and you hear a fearsome voice yell “Intruder! Bring it down” in orcish. The unmistakable noise of drawing weapons and clattering armour reaches you a second later.
@Bree, Lucy and Garavant:
You hear Sila’s door creak loudly and the chattering noises from the room within suddenly grow louder now that the heavy wood is no longer muffling them. They cut short and a bellowing voice seems to indicate that your colleague has been seen, as planned. A blood-chilling roar from within the room tells you that the plan has begun its transition from abstract debate into visceral, deadly action.
Silaturns and leaps over the ice patch, clearing it effortlessly and reaching Gruenic. The noise of clanking armour and hobnailed boots is right behind her...
(Everyone roll for initiative and declare actions please; you are welcome to post actions later if you want to see how earlier combatants act first. Also happy for any corrections to positioning if I have misunderstood any part of the plan)
Once the stumbling, squashing and slipping settles down, Sila will slash at the nearest, biggest enemy with her short sword followed by a thrust with her dagger. (Staying as much to one side to leave space open for spells, arrows, and other attacks - change first attack to dagger if range is called for - rolling for me to adjust damage to 1d4 ok. These are not rolled with bless )
Garavant stays where he is, lurking just around the corner from the ice trap. He is coiled, ready to spring, and will attack the nearest enemy upon which he can get an edge. (Prone if possible to attack with advantage, otherwise he'll try to get Sneak Attack damage by engaging an occupied orc, or by isolating one and using Rakish Audacity.)
