Sir Evendur walks up beside Kipio as to mark friendship.
"I will vouch for brave Kipio. When they hear of his heroic deeds defending the village from his brethren, they will welcome him as one of their own. We will leave no one behind"
"... There are ways in that aren't necessarily through the front door, if they're proving difficult,"Kendes says ambiguously. "I can keep him company and find us a way in, if anyone tries to give us problems. Though it would seem to me that now is not the time to split hairs, or kobolds who are fighting on your side," he adds, sending a sidelong glance at the woman who is accompanying them to the keep. "Having a local vouch for Kipio would help more than any of our words."
Kipio settling down his anger now with his new companions surrounding him. He is a little surprised at the concern they are showing him, "Hmmm...well...um...I hadn't thought about that. I only intended to search out a dragon, I hadn't concerned myself with the people that I would encounter," he looks away shamefully. Kipio pulls up his hood covering his face once more and slides his clawed hands into his robe, "It may be best if other's do the talking for me, these people have a right to be concerned. Claim me as a pet if you need to, I will take no offense."
"Pet? I think not," Kosef says. "Perhaps a young member of a local family." He stares directly at the woman and man they helped save. For a long time. "Or a gnome. Or yourself. I will vouch for you as well."
"As you can see, Kipio, your companions will stand by you if entering the keep should pose a problem. Let us at least plead your case with the villagers. We should not linger however, more raiders will come soon enough and the villagers we brought with us will not last long outside the keep."
Kendes takes down one kobold and lands a powerful blow against the human. The human barely has a moment to regain his balance when Kosef's sword removes his head.
"We're willing to vouch for you," the woman says to Kipio. "You might be a kobold, but you helped save my family." Her husband nods in agreement.
The keep gate is guarded by two spear-wielding humans and a dwarf. While you stand over your vanquished foes, the dwarf calls out, "Hurry, we're about to lock the gate!"
"Let's go!" Kendes yells, racing for the gate and the flimsy sense of safety it provides against the rampaging dragon overhead. "We've got prisoners for questioning,"he explains hurriedly to the dwarf about the extra body baggage as he passes through, panting.

When Kendes mentions the prisoners, the dwarf looks a little surprised. He then smiles and says "You had best go see Governor Nighthill. He's been wanting a prisoner since this whole thing began." When Evendur comes over to speak the dwarf says "Any helper of this town is a friend of ours. Come on, all of you. Governor Nighthill said he could see raiders converging on the keep."
Kipio relaxes at the townsfolk's kindness, but decides to keep his hood up to not startle anyone. "Please bring me any wounded you might have after we speak to your Governor, I can help," he says quietly.
Valas had given Kipio a silent nod of support and approval as the others finished vocalizing their own strong showing of support for the kobold. Now entering the keep, the elf put his hood up and stayed quiet, letting Sir Evendur and others do the initial talking while he was still partially distracted by his own private thoughts. He was now eager to meet this Governor Nighthill and get a more thorough assessment of the situation.
Kosef strides into the keep. He is relieved to be here and glad they and the family all arrived safely. Part of him wants to keep track of his new found allies, but he also wonders about Leosin Erlanthar. He owes Leosin a great debt. Kosef stays with his companions, but also watches the crowd for any sign of the monk.
The dwarf closes the gate behind them once everyone is inside. The woman helps her children off the horse and takes them over to the other townsfolk, with her husband limping after her. Leosin is not visible amongst the frightened townsfolk. The dwarf then beckons at them as he walks further into the keep, saying "Governor Nighthill is likely on the parapet. He'll want to speak to your prisoners. And the whole lot of you I think." He leads the way up the stairs. Assuming they follow, he leads them to the top of the keep. While he walks he says "The wounded will be glad to have you," to Kipio. "Eadyan, our priest, isn't here at the keep. He might be trapped in the temple." When they reach the top a human man is visible, pacing back and forth. The right side of his head is bandaged, and his right arm is in a sling. Blood stains his blue tunic. When the dwarf reaches him, he says "Escobert! Is the keep sealed?" Escobert (the dwarf) nods at him, and then says "I was able to let a few more people in before we locked the gate. They have prisoners, just like you were wishing for, Governor Nighthill." He gestures at the kobold and the human.
When they pass through the keep gate Evendur turns to one of the guards.
"Guard, I need to know if my squire has made it here safe, we got separated outside the village I´m afraid. What he looks like...uhm...uhm...oh, yes like a squire"
When they are inside the keep he turns to the fair lady and looks her in the eye.
"Alas, fair lady, this is where I must bid you farewell and our roads must part. I must face that vile dragon and you must see to your flock. We may not meet again fair lady but fear not, whatever fate I may meet this night I can see in your eyes a soul unbroken, as the world burns around us you and your kin will persevere fair lady"
"Now where is that dragon" Turns away, faces the sky, holding his blade up high.
Realizing the others have already left Sir Evendur then marches up the stairs and joins them.
With Sir Evendur a step behind, Valas steps forward. "Greetings Governor Nighthill." "I am Valas Tethras of House Tethras of the elven realm of Cormanthor. I offer my sword in defense of your people on behalf of my House."

Kendes follows after the others, still trying to catch his breath and recover from the shock of the dragon attack, and then having to attack the raiders on the city.
"Raiders,"he repeats to himself with a heavy sigh. His father was right to have sent him here; a brief flash of anger mars Kendes's expression. How could you, father? Kendes wasn't even certain if he would've recognized some of the mercenaries they killed in the heat of battle. Most likely. At least one of the humans had looked vaguely familiar to him. Shaking his head, he catches up to the governor, only to hear the others introduce themselves. A holy man of Torm, elven nobility, and the Flaming Fists? He swallowed and tried not to look as nervous as he felt.
"K-kendes,"he says in simple greeting to Nighthill. "Kendes Jevolath. Traveling merchant. My family has traded in Greenest before... a blue dragon laying waste to this town was the last thing I expected to find here," he admits. "I... don't represent any organization or family of importance, but... seeing the town like this.... I want to help, in any way I can."
One of the guards tells Evendur, "There was a fellow who slipped in not long before you. We'll ask if he is your squire."
Kosef cannot spot the temple. Though raiders and buildings are visible by the light of fire and the moon, the darkness makes it hard to distinguish the details that would help identify it.
Coming up the last couple of steps, Evendur notices a slight limp and realizes he still has a kobolds dagger stuck in his left boot. "Tis but a scratch" he mumbles under his breath and stoically ignores the pain.
"Governor Nighthill I presume, I see my brave companions have already introduced themselves. I am Sir Evendur Archebolde, loyal servant of Torm. The loyal fury has sent us here to defeat that dragon"Blade pointing to the sky again. "But first we need to interrogate the prisoners we brought. My stern look will make them talk, but I must warn you I might even resort to harsh language if need be" "Oh, and brave Kendes here found this coin on one of the raiders. As it is most likely loot from the village I hereby turn it over to you to return to it´s rightful owner."

Kipio speaks up in between in tall companions, "I am Kipio Yellow-Foot, caretaker of Kyphon. Please let me help some of your wounded, that my younger chromatic kin hurt. I can help only a little now, I have a feeling my talents may be needed to defeat this dragon." Overhearing Kosef, he attempts to look for the temple as well hoping his darkvision will help.
