Kendes ignores the chatter and concentrates on trying to unlock the gate. It's in a terrible shape, so he tries to be very careful when he inserts the key. Glancing back at the others, he whispers, "Here goes nothing."
With effort Kendes is able to turn the key in the lock. The grate opens. Whoever is first to exit the tunnel notices a group of raiders approaching. There are two cultists and six kobolds in the group. They are talking about something and have yet to notice anyone.

When Evendur becomes aware of the raiders he speaks to the others in a lowered but stern voice.
"It is of utmost importance that the raiders don´t find this entrance to the secret tunnel lest our rescue attempt will surely fail. We should use the element of surprise to swiftly take down this squad. Kendes, Valas, lead the way, Kosef, Kipio and myself will be close behind. Torm willing we will keep this tunnel a secret for some time yet."
(OOC: If necessary to gain surprise, Evendur will wait a round to join combat. Evendur Initiative:11)

The raiders walk closer to the grate. They look around, searching the stream bank fro anyone who might be hidden. They pass near the grate completely oblivious to your presence.
Kobold Initiative: 3
Human Initiative: 19
OOC: Everyone gains surprise. The tunnel conceals you well.
Kosef is thankful they have surprised the raiders. That the tunnel stays a secret is important. It leads straight back to the seat of government.
His initiative is 18. He will attack H2: 9 to hit for 10 damage. (If the GWM bonus action is possible, he attacks K6: 25 to hit for 11 damage.) He aims, the only way he knows how, to separate heads from shoulders.
He will use the remainder of his movement to put himself between the town and the raiders, hoping to prevent escapes and maybe to confuse them about where the attackers came from. And he hopes for good luck on any attacks of opportunity.
Evendur quickly puts out his torch, drops it to the ground and draws his blade. Then as silently as he can, to not draw the attention of any other raiders in the vicinity, he rushes the closest standing kobold, for whom he had grown a healthy respect. When closing in he sends his sword in a wide arc towards the scaly creature.
Long sword:11 Damage:7
He then bashes the closest raider with his shield to knock him prone: 23 for Kendes to take advantage of.

Kipio seeing Evendur put his torch out, decides against using flame. He pulls his scimitar and attacks H2 (assuming Kosef missed) to gain pack tactics.
Kendes goes to strike whomever Evendur tried to knock prone.
Attack: 24(with or without advantage, the first roll was better anyway) Damage: 11
He then follows up with a roundhouse kick:
Attack: 15(with or without advantage, the first roll was better anyway) Damage: 5
Assuming that any target he was attacking is now down, Kendes will retreat back towards the gate, putting some distance between himself and the assailants. (He will not risk an attack of opportunity to do so if he's still in a raider's range.)
Valas bursts forth from the tunnel and takes a hard right, trying to encircle the enemy so none can escape. He moves around to K1/K2 area and strikes with his sword and a bit of magic.
Booming Blade Attack: 15 Damage: 9 Thunder damage if the target moves: 3
Kosef swings at one of the humans, but the human is able to block his blow with its own sword. Evendur takes a swing at a kobold, but misses the agile creature. Evendur is able to knock another raider down, setting the raider up for Kendes. Kendes finishes the fallen human and strikes a second target. The kobold collapses to the ground, dead. Kipio slashes at one of the humans with his scimitar, killing the cultist. Valas strikes at one of the kobolds, killing it.
OOC: I think Kipio forgot to add a + 3 to damage. I added it in. If any of you have problems with how your actions were interpreted, just say something.
OOC: Valas, Kosef, and Kipio are up next. Editing Again: All the humans are dead, so they are out of the initiative order. Evendur can also go next.

The dead human is right at his feet and this unnerves him slightly. He would have to step over H2 and maybe H1. Fighting this way is so different from the block.
All the enemies are defeated. The reeds by the stream are tall, but thick. The shortest path to the temple is straight west, but following the stream will also take you there.
OOC: Valas and Evendur killed the same kobold, so we will just transfer one of their attacks to the last kobold. The reeds are difficult terrain.

Moving to hedge in any survivors, Kosef readies the attack action for any living kobold. If none are standing, he looks over his shoulder toward the priest's location. He's wondering if there are people or obstacles between his allies and the building.
(He'll attack, for example, if K4 tries to escape: 18 to hit for 14 damage.)
The sneaking had undeniably showed it´s effectiveness, Evendur thought standing amidst the fallen raiders. It was a great blessing from Torm sending these powerful companions to his side. "Well done everyone. Now let´s keep moving. Perhaps we should use the vegetation by the stream to our advantage as we approach the temple. Valas, Kendes you should take point, watch out for raiders, we should try to avoid them if possible"
