"Yes,"Kendes says grimly, the act of wiping away the viscera from his spear getting more practiced. It still unnerved him, though this time, it wasn't so much that he had killed something, but that circumstances were making him feel inured to the reaction a normal person might have felt. That was worrisome. But there was no time to dwell on it. Quickly, he rifles through the corpses for anything of value, before moving to the front of the group to scout ahead.
Kendes search reveals several pieces of silverware (two forks and a spoon), and an ivory figurine of a strange pig-like animal with tusks.
Everyone who is sneaking through the reeds, please make a stealth check with advantage.
OOC: The net worth of the items is 10 gp. 1 gp per piece of silverware and 7gp for the warthog. Also I do not know if anyone is collecting ammunition, but the kobolds have 17 sling stones in their possession. About the stealth: no need for Kendes to reroll for advantage, you passed already.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Still keeping an eye out for a bow, even if it isn't up to the standards of fine elven make, Valas passes on kobold slings. He seems to be lost in thought for another brief moment while staring at his bloody blade, but is brought back to reality when Sir Evendur speaks his name.
If the bodies of this latest raiding party draw attention to the tunnel entrance, Valas suggests they be moved away a bit or perhaps even hidden in the reeds.
Kosef also worries about how loud he can be: 0 (rolled without advantage because of the disadvantage chain mail gives).
"I'm comfortable moving the bodies," he whispers to Valas, "but many make loads light and chores quick. As my old ma used to say." He'll hide some among the reeds and pull others a longer distance from the tunnel. He tries to move subtly, but seems to make an incredible amount of noise instead.
"Yes, good thinking brave Valas" Evendur says in a low voice helping out with moving the bodies before entering the reeds.
(OOC: Well at least three out of five rolled really good. If given, Evendur will keep accepting "his share" of any "treasure" without questions to give to the townsfolk)
Valas helps move some of the smaller kobold bodies, placing them gently amongst the reeds with their hands crossed on their chests and closing their eyes. He hangs his head low over each and says a few brief words in elven and then draconic. Although it is only a whisper, anyone close would hear him asking the gods to help the souls of the fallen down a better path, and asking forgiveness for himself for the blood he has been forced to shed on this day.
Those scouting ahead come across a group of raiders. A human man with a scimitar is talking to a human woman with an amulet around her neck and pointing at the reeds where the battle was held. Behind them stand two familiar faces. One is a muscular, bald, tattooed half-orc and the other is a brown-skinned woman with short black hair.
HO - - - HW2
HM - - HW1
HM = human man, HW = Human woman, HO = half-orc, - = 1 ft, space down = 5 ft
For Kendes:
The half-orc and human are Mhurn and Atala, your old acquaintances.
OOC: Kendes was said to be scouting ahead. Are any of the rest of you also scouting ahead?
OOC: Evendur suggested Kendes and Valas for scouting ahead, if it would be okey to go with that. Evendur will stay back a bit and I´m fairly sure Kosef will as well. Don´t know about Kipio but he´s certainly good at sneaking.
A small child darts through the reeds and bumps into Evendur. He stares in horror at all of you who are present. The child is small and very pale. He has curly brown hair and clutches a rabbit doll made from sackcloth. Smears of blood adorn his clothes, and he has traces of soot on his face.
Seeing the four figures and knowing Evendur and others have hung back, Valas silently signals that maybe they go back, perhaps trying to loop around another way.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Evendur quickly sheathes his sword, kneels in front of the child and speaks to him in a calm and lowered voice.
"Come little one, you are safe with us, we are sent by Governor Nighthill to save you and other townsfolk. You are very brave to have escaped the raiders." Persuasion to gain the childs trust: 13 (rolled with advantage if Kosef gives the help action otherwise go with first result which would yield the same result)
(OOC: Would it be reasonably safe to send the child on it`s own to the secret tunnel? If there is any doubt for Evendur he would insist on escorting the child back. Either way Evendur will be prepared to fight if they are discovered. Evendur initiative i applicable:20)
Kosef has finished moving the bodies. He will help by kneeling as well. "We can show you at way back to the keep. You will be safe there. I think you are strong enough to make the journey, if you would like."
"You are very brave little one, go fast and quiet in that direction..." Evendur points in the direction of the tunnel entrance."...and you will find the entrance to a tunnel that will take you inside the keep. Torm will watch over you, now go." Watching as the boy enters the tunnel Evendur then tries to find another way forward taking care to watch out for furher signals from Valas.
Kendes pauses, eyes widening as he recognizes two of the raiders. Then narrowing, particularly at the woman with the amulet. He creeps in a bit closer to listen to the conversation, hoping that Mhurn and Atala will be arguing against, and not with, the people who've been terrorizing Greenest.
(If they seem to be in cooperating with each other, Kendes will sneak back to the group to warn them of the next battle. If it looks like the two people Kendes knows are putting up some resistance to the Raider operation, he'll try to surprise-attack the woman with the amulet.)
The child heads off in the direction of the grate. Before he leaves, he offers Evendur and Kosef his sackcloth rabbit, saying "You should take Bunny. Bunny will protect you."
Mhurn and Atala do not look very excited to be with the raiders, but they are not fighting them. Atala has a nervous look on her face, as if the situation she is in makes her uncomfortable.
Make a perception check to hear what the raiders are saying (anyone scouting ahead can attempt this).

Evendur tries his best to move silently through the reeds in his clanky armor 4
I shouldn´t have come, I´m endangering the mission and my companions
(OOC: Rolled without advantage because of disadvantage due to clanky armor, sorry guys. Could this be a group challenge though?)
(Kendes will take the ammunition (and any sling he finds) unless someone else wants them)
Kipio attempts to quietly enter the reeds.
