One of them gives you a slight glance over their shoulder but say nothing. They lead you up the main stairs and off to the left. There is one door that leads into a short hallway. In the hallway there are 2 doors.
Here is the 1st floor you were on
Here is the 2nd floor you are on now
They knock on the door on the right hand side of the hall and you hear a faint raspy voice "Enter"
They open the door and stand back "She is waiting for you."
Maudath walks inside the room, looking around as he does, making sure nothing obviously dangerous is waiting for them before he moves out of the doorway to let the others come in.
He opens his mouth the ask about Huarwar and why they were sent into a duergar hideout last night, but he looks at the Professor and Iris and thinks this might be one of those occasions where he should keep his mouth closed and just look like he's good at breaking things.
Maudath and the rest when you enter the room: A chilly draft wafts through this bedroom despite a roaring fire in the hearth. Bundled under a thick quilt and seated in a squat rocking chair in front of the fire is a very, very old dwarf with a wooden peg where her right foot should be. Next to her, on a small table, is a plate of food. When you all have entered the room she looks up to you thru one partially squinted eye. “I’ve been dreading this moment”.
"And why might that be? I'm not the castle inspector, but if you'd like something done about the drafts, I would be available to consult on more efficient heating."

Eve enters with the others but stays near the back. She spots the peg-foot, the fire and the draft. She thinks to invisible Ipkiss saying <This all seems odd. Do you spot anything odd or important looking?>. She’ll slyly help him to try and spot what seems to be up in here, together, while the others speak…
Ipkiss flies around the room, its about 20x20 not a very big room. Its very musty and stale. There is a dwarf sized bed in one corner the bed sheets twisted and thrown about. A small wardrobe stands next to it.
To the group "You've come like I knew ye would. My death draws near but there are things ye all must know. The duergar you fought are but the tip o the iceberg as it were." she coughs a few times "There is much hardship in ye futures."
Iris speaks up "Are you sick, I may be able to help"
"No lass. I'm not sick, Im old. Jus look at me" she replies in a not mean but very blunt tone.
"And that is why i call him small brain" Ryhunis thought "Astonishing my dear professor this is the kind of place is how you should had welcomed me, not on some wood shack" she whispered into the professor's ear "Valiant fighters were sent to us, were also those yours? No hard feelings"
Eve speaks quietly to Maudath, remembering their recent excursion on the lake avoiding ice flows, “Metaphor. Yes, I think so. I hope so!… I’m not too keen on getting back on the freezing water again, in the near future!…”.
Then to the old woman, “Our future? Do you know us??… How do you know what’s in our future?”. She scrutinises her old face for the truth.
"Xardorok Sunblight is a duergar warlord who is set on conquering Icewind Dale. He brings his people from the underdark and is being given guidance from Asmodeus, ruler of the nine hells, in the form of one of the Duergar dieties. My master would like to see this fail." She coughs a few times after delivering this information. Her face is hard as steel as she delivers this to you all.
Maudath looks down at the Professor, over at Ryhunis, back to Iris, and then down to Eve.
"We're the ones that are going to stop an army of duergar working for a devil?" Maudath says, raising his eyebrows at the old woman. He the whispers over to Eve "This is a dead end. Why are we talking to her?"
He looks back to the woman, trying to keep his disbelief off his face.
"We can keep an eye out," he begins. "But what's going on here? We're looking for a kid named Huarwar. And from what I've seen, the crew here look like they work for a different warlord. This doesn't seem like a magistrate's home."
"Your master... do you speak of Crannoc Siever? Or someone with reason to more directly oppose an agent of... the ruler of the nine hells."
His voice goes up an octave at the end, sounding a bit incredulous.
"Does this Kadroth we've heard so much about even know we're taking this meeting with you? Were were ushered here under arrowpoint, which I must say is highly irregular, and not greatly engendering of trust. On top of your guard out front sending us to a defunct inn overrun with duergar."

"Good morning, I am Professor C.R. Wibblepingle, and these are my associates. How may we be of service?"

Maudath looks around the room as the Professor talks with the old dwarf.
"This is all metaphor, right?" Maudath says in a low voice to Eve. "We're not really going on ship to fight icebergs, right?"

She snears a bit "Those bastards are no kin to me" she spits towards the fire. "They were known to us but it wasn't our role to take care of them"
Looking over you, a straight look on her face. "Ive seen you all in my visions. You are all that stands between Xardorok and him conquering the Dale."
"Xardorok?"
((Is this a name that I'd be able to make a check to recognize, or not possible?))

"Xardorok?" Maudath says. "Does he wrestle? Swear I fought him once down in Neverwinter, at a vintner's harvest festival."
Eve silently ‘thinks’ to Ipkiss, <Do you know a… ‘Xardorok’?… You’re always mentioning names with too many ‘X’s in!…>.
