The Professor discharges another burst of electricity into the air, well away from the party, then trots to join the others, fiddling with some controls as some of his wires smoke and sputter.
He retracts his helmet, the gold veined stony material flowing back off his face and pooling around the collar at his neck.
"A few adjustments to make, but a fine field test! How's everyone holding up?"

"Inquiring about my health? You really got soft Professor, worry not I am a though stone to take down, no small beast like that one can take me. pff didn't even touched me!" she laughs while shaking off some snowflakes that fell on her body "Really, I was expecting a challenge but against someone as mighty as me, I guess it's my fault for increasing my expectations"
Maudath smiles as he rolls his shoulders and then wipes his great blade off on the yeti's fur. Once cleaned, he slips it back into its scabbard across his back.
"How's the small devil?" Maudath asks Eve.
Before waiting for an answer he goes over to check what the yeti was eating.
Eve just beams with pride at Maudath’s question, looking over at Ipkiss, who’s still just venting his anger and frustration on the huge, dead body of the yeti.
At last, Ipkiss gives it one last puny punch and gives up, exhausted, and collapses on the body, almost lost in the fur.
Eve runs over to her little friend, “You… you we’re ready to sacrifice yourself for us — for me — so we could escape!!… You’re so brave! Are you okay?!…”.
Ipkiss stands in the fur and says, “Me?!… … You should see the other guy!”, cocking his thumb over his shoulder and scowling at the dead yeti. “I’m fine! It takes more than a yeti to stop me!”. He collapses backward into the soft fur again, panting heavily.
Eve scoops him up and shuffles him down inside her furs again, into his little hammock-sling.
Iris is breathing heavily, arcs of divine energy still dancing between her palms. It's hard to quantify, but she looks... alive. Her eyes are shining, and there's a half-grin on her face. She walks up towards the spectral scythe and reaches out to grab it. It glows brighter for a second, then disappears in a flash of light. She turns back to the others.
"I've never done that before."Her smile only widens.
Eve asks Maudath, “A rest? Us?… what about you? Are you okay??”. She eyes her Goliath friend, and tries to gauge how much of the blood on him is his and how much is the yeti’s.
”The damned! Maudath! You really were bursting for a fight!! Huh?!… I haven’t seen you like that for months!!… That’s top form! That first blow, I thought you were going to take its head clean off!!… hahaha!…”.
As Iris approaches, Eve turns, to see her reach for her spiritual weapon.
Tentatively, unconsciously, Eve reaches out towards it a little too. Her black eyes wide, her devil-familiar clutched inside her furs, and maybe a faint tendril or two of black smoke wisping off of her fingertips as she reaches out…
Her hand slightly glowing from the holy weapon’s light. The black smoke from her hand slightly ‘sizzling’ away with a ‘ssssss-s-s!’, as she reaches forwards…
And then The Weapon in Iris’s hand vanishes...
”Woah!!… that.. is…. … SO cool!!!”. Not for the first time, Eve stares at Iris in awe.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Iris grins at Eve. "I know, right? I feel like she's so much closer today. Like everything is so much easier. I must have done something right!" She chuckles to herself, then glances over at Maudath.
"You should be okay for now. We'll be in town soon, but let me know if the bleeding gets any worse."
As she looks away, she doesn't notice that Maudath's wounds have started knitting together on their own, accompanied by the same faint light as Iris's usual healing magic.
((Iris has unknowingly/accidentally cast healing word on Maudath for 7 hp))
"Tell me how far is the next objective? Town, city, village, small house where the professor may or not had kicked me when i tried to clean his room, evil tower of doom or something cliche like building?" Ryhunis said while crouching over the corpse. "Really good pelt, we could get some pretty coin over this, should we carry it's body and sell it? It should be enough to get us some more needed supplies, and maybe something extra like something THAT AN IMBECILE WASN'T ABLE TO DO!!!" the last part could easily be felt her anger while looking over the edge of her shoulder to Maudath
The Professor sighs. "Ryhunis, please stop antagonizing Maudath. I've told you that you're an acquired taste, cramming yourself down his gullet isn't going to warm him to your charms. Maudath, the whole 'experiment' thing is a cover. I'm not responsible for bringing Ryhunis to her current state any more than you are... or rather, I had no part in it, the fates have conspired to make her my responsibility, it seems."

The rest of your trip to Caer DIneval is uneventful. Even before reaching the city the fortress the city was built around can be seen rising up above the town. You reach the town after a long days travel.
You all head into town off the Eastway. Asking about a bit you are pointed up towards the Tavern known as The Uphill Climb. This tavern is situated northwest of the Caer, where it offers a spectacular view of the lake and the frozen docks. Its not a bad climb up, but a climb none the less.
Just for a fun visual
As you enter the tavern you are shocked by how empty it is, there are only 2 other patrons in here. As such seating is very easy to come by. There is a rugged middle-aged man currently leaning behind the bar wiping out some glasses. He looks up as you come in. "Reckon I haven't seen you lot round here before. Names Roark. I run this fine establishment" he says sweeping his arms around half-heartedly "We serve the finest chowder this side of the Loc. Unfortunately due to the beautiful weather we find ourselves out of beer and spirits, apologies."

Maudath you find the partial remains of a deer or elk, honestly most of it is pretty torn up.
Eve just beams with pride at Maudath’s question, looking over at Ipkiss, who’s still just venting his anger and frustration on the huge, dead body of the yeti.

Maudath pokes at the dead animal with his toe then turns back to join the others, checking the shape of his armor as he walks.
"That got the kinks out," Maudath says once he's satisfied there aren't any broken links in the armor. "So, back on our way?"
He looks down at the rapidly cooling yeti.

Maudath gestures over at the carcass the yeti was eating and then down at the yeti itself.
"Unless anyone wants to some fresh, though slightly used, venison for lunch," Maudath says, "I'd say we get back on the road."
He starts trudging through the snow back up onto the roadway and then pauses there.
"Anyone need to take a breather before we get going?"
If everyone is ready, Maudath gets going on the road to continue their journey.
Eve asks Maudath, “A rest? Us?… what about you? Are you okay??”. She eyes her Goliath friend, and tries to gauge how much of the blood on him is his and how much is the yeti’s.

Maudath smiles and looks down at his arms and chest.
"A few bumps and bruises," Maudath says. "Get me back in another fight and it'll be like nothing happened."
He begins to hum a tune to himself while Iris deals with here spiritual weapon.
And as it often does, he starts to sing with an energetic though not exactly pitch perfect voice.
"Old Tomnoddy, all big body,
Old Tomnoddy can’t spy me!
Attercop! Attercop!
Down you drop!
You'll never catch me up your tree!"

Maudath chuckles to himself as he notices the last bits of bruising and cuts he got from the yeti disappear and close up.
"Just can't help herself," Maudath says quietly to himself. "Too big a heart maybe."
Eve adjusts Ipkiss’s sling gently, and organises her furs around them both. She then looks up. “Should we head onward!”.

Maudath stops and looks back at Ryhunis, his normal good-natured demeanor momentarily gone.
"Professor," Maudath says through gritted teeth, "keep your failed experiment out of my way or you'll be picking up more than just fingers."
He turns and heads along the road towards the two Caers.
The Professor sighs. "Ryhunis, please stop antagonizing Maudath. I've told you that you're an acquired taste, cramming yourself down his gullet isn't going to warm him to your charms. The rest of the walk brought Maudath's good mood back and by the time they reach Caer Dineval he's forgotten about Ryhunis again.
"This was the place with the wayward lad, wasn't it?" Maudath asks the others. "Ms Cora's boy. What was his name? Horace? Howard?"
He continues along with the others to the main gates to the town.
"Black knights or something," he continues.
His stomach rumbles. Maudath looks down and laughs.
"He's been here awhile, if he's here. Another night won't make it worse," Maudath says. "Food, ale, a little trouble, and a long sleep first."
Eve agrees, “Yes, me and Ipkiss could do with a rest and some food… Let’s head to the tavern for the night”.
Unless anyone objects, as the party approach the town, Eve begins to lead them to find the tavern.
