Lera grinned, excited to see a small piece of combat. With one asleep, she sent a bolt of chaotic energy at the thug. The chaotic energy exploded against the thug in a shower of white, frost creeping up his chest. "That was so cool," her grin widened, feeling the untamed nature of her magic swirl around her. Nothing seemed to happen, but at least she hadn't set anything on fire this time. The sorcerer then ran forward until she was right behind her dad.
(21 to hit on the chaos orb spell, 8 damage, 4 on the wild magic table. Lera is now at F18.)
"Ok, hurt them, don't kill them." Singe says, launching a bolt of fire from his hands at the half-orc who ran up to him. The bolt hits the man square in the jaw, badly burning his face, but he's still standing. Singe sighs, thankful his body count did not rise.
Singe cast fire bolt (16 to hit) at the half orc on I9 for 9 points of fire damage.

Seeing Singe's flying bolt of fire explode in the Half-Orc's face dealing a massive blow Perrin decides to follow up on that blow with a strike from his shortsword's butt into the Half-Orcs stomach hopefully to knock him out. Successfully hitting him the Half-Orc slumps over to the ground still breathing but unconscious.
//Shortsword To Hit: 14 the Half-Orc at I9, Damage: 7, Knocked the Half-Orc at I9 Unconcious//
Woe uses her rapier to attack the guy in front of her to finish what Lera started. She hits him with the hilt over the head. As he is buckled over from Lera's chaos bolt/ball/orb/thing, the knock on the back of the head knocks him out. Before Woe moves away, she shouts: "there's a guy on the back of the building, trying to take the sign off the Inn!! Watch out for him!"
// blunt end of rapier: attack 17 nonleathal damage 4
Koll heard Woe yelling about someone stealing the sign and ran as fast as he could to the tavern. Once there, he saw that there was, indeed, a guy hanging from the roof, struggling to steal the sign. The two looked at each other for a moment, before the guy said, "What?"
The bandit with the crossbow aimed at Perrin, but swore loudly as his bolt flew wild. The rough looking one tried slashing at Perrin again, but as before, his dagger bounced off the shield, harmlessly. In the distance, the woman screaming for the guards could still be heard, faintly, screaming for help. With bodies dropping, the few civilians that were left in the area began to run. Seeing the chaos, the three other scavenger hunters that were running to help their teams, turned tail, and began to flee.
Singe fires another fire bolt, this one directed at the remaining bandit. "Please don't die." he whispers. The bolt strikes into the bandit's shoulder, barely burning him.
Singe casts fire bolt on the bandit on O9 hitting on a 13; he deals 3 fire damage.
"The relevant equation is: Knowledge = power = energy = matter = mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read." - Terry Pratchett
Koll sees that the Blade and Stars sign that the man is trying to steal is in the shape of a shield and that it shimmers - one of the last items on their list to collect. He is, however, not eager to fight the man; certainly it would be unfair to strike him when he is in such a compromised position, hanging upside down. Instead, Koll tries to deceive him. He says to the man, "Quickly! The Flaming Fists are coming! I'll catch the sign for you." The man looks unconvinced.
Perrin is easily blocking all the attempts to attack him.
These guys really need to get better with a sword if they want to be adventures. Perrin thinks
Perrin sees another one of Singe’s Fire Bolts go past him. Perrin was almost going to follow it up with another sword swings when he suddenly remembers that he hasn’t seen Shanolia since here earlier dagger throw. Looking around he quickly spots her on the ground bleeding.
We cannot have a third body on the ground. I don’t know what to do with the first two. Perrin contemplatesas he dive underneath his attackers legs, avoiding another one his slashes before arriving at Shanolia’s side.
Once by Shanolia’s side Perrin’s kind of knows what to do even though he has no training in the Medical Arts. He rips some cloth and is able to wrap it around the wound preventing Shanolia from bleeding out. Perrin cheeks her breathing at it seems to have slow down indicating that stopping the bleeding has saved Shanolia’s life for now.
//Moved To K5. Taking an opportunity attack of 10, a miss. Medicine Check of a 14 to stabilize Shanolia.//
Lera and Zamar run quickly over to Woe and try to enter the Inn from behind. But the door doesn't budge. It seems to be locked from the inside.
When Woe sees that the back door to the Inn is locked, she decides to continue over to Shanolia to give Perrin a hand with treatment. On the way she shouts insults at one of the attackers, but he is immune to her imbued magic.
With the yells of, "Guards! Guards!" Coming from across the courtyard, the remaining participants in the area flee into the alleys. With the sounds of combat over, you're finally able to assess the scene. There's three unconscious people and two dead bodies. The weight of the situation begins to set just as the music in the Blade and Stars ends.
"Ah, shit!" The last remaining thug calls out, falling from the sign as it finally comes loose. The sign lands right at Koll's feet, and one look from Koll makes the man scramble to his feet and flee into another alley. The sign is odd. A raised scimitar stands upon a shield with stars that shimmer across its wooden surface. Even though it fell hard, it doesn't appear to have any new scratches.
"You will be safe inside," a voice calls down from the rooftops. The kenku is perched where Shanolia had fallen, his voice a strange amalgamation of various tones and pitches. "I will handle this mess," he adds.
Woe rushes over to Shanolia and lays her hands on her wounds... a warm light runs down Woe's arms and shines brightly for a split second between her fingers. Then Shanolia opens her eyes.
Woe looks up and nods a silent thank-you message to the Kenku.
Perrin shouts: “Everyone let’s quickly get inside. The guards are coming.” Perrin will make his way inside helping Shanolia stand up and urging her towards the Inn. As the back door is locked, they all have to go to the front: "To the front door!" Singe makes sure everyone knows.
Woe walks with Perrin and a startled Shanolia to the front door and tries to open it...
The front door of the Blade and Stars swings open. You're immediately met with the loud noises of a busy tavern. It looks like the hostess, Allistra Aurayaun is about to speak on a stage that looks fresh and new. Four Flaming Fist guards are standing in the entry hallway and they turn in your direction. "Weapons 'ere," one says, pointing to a small closet, "Scavenged items 'ere." He then points to the other side of the room where scavenger hunt items line the walls in cubbies marked with each team's color. "Once you enter, your game is done," he adds with finality. The three other guards continue drinking as they watch the group.
The smell of smokeleaf fills the air. Looking past them you see Grapip Salgim Wrefan Lanfan sparking a fresh pipe. Next to him is a young girl with wild, unkempt hair feeding a massive pig a freshly cooked leg of lamb. She looks absolutely bored... From the upper stairwell you see a man walking down. From the looks of it, the second floor is the only area with windows. This is likely to keep the lights low in the lower section of the Tavern for stage performances. He wears a furred cloak and apparel fit for a lord. On his side, a longsword dangles from a scabbard. As the only person inside the tavern that's armed, you assume this is none other than Lord Eldon Viscardi.
He gives a slight nod to your group as you enter, and you get the impression that he has just got done watching quite the spectacle outside. The tavern begins to hush as Allistra prepares to speak. She seems to be waiting for Lord Viscardi to sit, but he's immediately beset by two women when he reaches the bottom of the stairs. One is recognizable from the course at the Hall of Wonders. Her team had just won a prize and she was easily the most charismatic of the group. She hangs on him as he tries to weave through the crowd. The other woman you don't recognize, but she too seems to demand the lord's attention with dramatic exposition and words of flattery.
Once everyone passers the threshold into the Blade and Stars Perrin let’s out a little sigh of relief. The first things he does is check his pack to see if Junior is okay after that fight. He gladly climbs out of the pack and climbs on top of Perrin’s head. He sees that Koll has grabbed a shimmering shield. It’s the Inn’s sign but Perrin has had a long day he’ll question it tomorrow. As Perrin is putting his own weapons into his cubby he looks and sees Lord Viscardi for the first time. His cheeks instantly blush, not that you can tell with Perrin’s already red cherry cheeks, when he sees Lord Viscardi’s attractive face. He looks at the group and begins to stutter a little “I..I need...I need to make a pie .” He says looking at Singe who offered him a kitchen.

Woe steps inside still worried about Shanolia. Then someone tells her to remove all the treasure hunt items and put them into a cubbie AND to remove her weapons. She doesn't like this situation one bit - but it is obvious that there is not way around it. In this moment Lord Viscardi is descending the stairs. Woe sees the expression change in Perrin's face, going from red to sour-cherry-red. She looks up herself, assesses the situation and stands up straight to her full height. She will start taking the items off one by one, whistling a small victory tune. She will slowly remove the hamster from the backpack and the counter-fit coin from her purse. Then she removes her writing utensils and takes out the feather from the Kenku and the two scavenger hunters lists together with the flaming fist emblem. Then she very slowly pulls the extra extra extra large undergarments from her bra. They seem to be never-ending, almost like a magician pulling fabric squares from their hat. When they are out, she removes the wig and places both items in the cubby as well. Then she smiles at Lord Viscardi, hoping he was not too distracted to watch her.
Shanolia slowly removes her Rapier, Shortsword, and remaining Dagger from their various sheaths around her waist as she takes a quick peek towards the other teams cubbies. She can see a few items, but the guards are keeping a close eye on everything and she decides not to overstay her welcome. Once her items are stored, she steps back towards her new friends and watches as Lord Viscardi descends the stairs, using her hand in a vain attempt to hide her wounded shoulder.
Zamar also removes his weapons, though he keeps his instruments close. He carefully places the few items he has in his possession into the team cubby and looks closely to make sure that no other teams are hovering near. He looks over at the guards with a genial smile and says, "There have been some...unruly...participants in these games. I trust our possessions will be safe." He turns and follows his friends further into the bar. Seeing their 'benefactor', he calls out, ""Lord Viscardi, apologies for being late. There were some...obstacles in our way."
As you move farther into the Blade and Stars, your stopped by a woman holding a clipboard. "Team color? Solo performance or group performance?" She taps the clipboard with her quill, looking impatient. Viscardi looked up at mention of his name, but only nods as he takes a seat.
Just as Allistra is about to start, the quiet is interrupted.
"E!" The little girl with the wild hair calls out. She stands up on her chair and starts gesturing for Lord Viscardi to come sit next to her. He stands back up and the two women that were trying to keep his attention frown as he leaves their side. The little girl sticks her tongue out at them before hopping atop her pig's chair-saddle. Viscardi makes his way to the seat she left vacant.
As Perrin makes his way into the Tavern he see's a little girl riding on top of a pig and watches as Lord Viscardi goes over to her. She must have a stake in this Perrin thinks as he watches them interact. Suddenly, he hears a voice inside his head. It's Lera's saying "Hey, so we really need to get a pie to the little girl on the pig. Her name is Polly, and she has a vote in this but she's really bored and wants sweets."
Knowing that his teammates are thinking the same thing Perrins asks the women with the clipboard "Who owns this establishment?" giving a deep sigh she points to the women on the stage.
"Thank you," Perrin says to the women as he rushed to the Tavern owner a the stage. "Excuse me, Mam, before we start I have a favor to ask. Can I please use your kitchen to bake some pies? I'm really nervous and baking helps keep me calm. I'll do all the dishes tonight in exchange to access to your kitchen just for a couple hours to bake my pies." Perrin pleas to the Tavern Owner.
She sighs audibly and there's a general murmur from the crowd as Perrin delays the beginning speech of the festivities. She gestures and says, "If you can convince Harule, feel free."
Perrin gives a short nod and goes off in search of Harule. He assumes he is in the kitchen so that is where Perrin heads but, he'll give Junior to Koll before he heads there.
After depositing the Blade and Stars sign somewhat awkwardly in Team Red's cubby, Koll hands over his weapons, his tonfas and throwing stars, with little concern. He scans the crowd and takes special notice of Lord Viscardi and the girl with the pig. He sees a resemblance in their features and guesses that she is Viscardi's younger sister.
Perrin seems eager to get into the kitchen, but not to bring the monkey with him. Koll Jr. is happy enough to ride on Koll's shoulder for the time being. Koll then climbs to the second story to take an inconspicuous spot on the balcony, where he and the monkey can keep an eye out for any hi-jinks, skullduggery, tomfoolery or shenanigans.
