"Umm from my experience weapons talking to you is usually a bad thing to give to a goliath ... but you have been a good friend and have been making concessions to the party so sure,: says brock pulling the shield out of the bag.
"But please if it tells you to kill me remember all the good times we had first," says Brock handing Yashin the shield.
Kallandra eyes the necromancer, wanting to take glee in his sorry state but that's simply not her way. She would be true to herself. "Grishkar, not that you need assistance, but may I get you something?" She kept her tone perfectly neutral.
After, she turned to Brock, “I have not been trained but, yes, I sing and dance as well. How better to express one’s joy with life, eh?”
Yashin, as you take the shield you see that, indeed, the symbol hanging from the neck of the angelic form on the shield is that of Talos. The so-familiar three lightning bolts design as you yourself have around your own neck is there. You get the following message...
"Talos will be much pleased." The voice says into your head. "I have traveled a long way to reach you, and now I can aid you in our great quest."
Grishkar beams a look of complete apathy to Kallandra's offer. His eyes blink with slow, lethargic movements, "No...maybe a grave with company."

Yashin thanks Brock and takes the shield from him. Inspecting the figure on the shield closely, he runs his fingers over the lightning bolt symbol of his god. “Yes, as I thought. It does bear the Storm Lords sigil” Yashin narrows his eyes, appearing to the others as if he is thinking hard.
DM:
He reaches out with his mind, trying to speak with the shield. “Can you hear me, can we talk like this? How can you aid us on our quest?”
"Okay now remember if it tells you to kill us start with the wizard so I can get a head start," says Brock as a joke getting breakfast and getting ready to leave.
Yashin’s train of thought is broken at Brock’s comments. He laughs as he understands the dwarf's comments “Ha, don’t worry. I will start with the elves first!” He lowers his voice in a conspiratorial whisper “the shield says it can help us in our quest. Now how can it do that? Don’t say anything until we find out more.”
Ssej hangs his head and shakes it in annoyance, "OK, let me get this sstraight, ssome humanoid ssneakss into our room in the dead of night sso ssilently it doess not wake any of uss. Leaves ssome magical sshield for uss to find and the shield, thiss one here," as he taps it with a clawed nail, "and now we are jusst ssuppossed to follow it without quesstion?" As Ssej then looks back and forth between Yahsin and Brock.
Not really expecting an answer he throws his hands in the air, "Ssure why not, what could possssibly go wrong with that outcome. Whatever fine, I will meet you all at the gate we came in yesterday to continue our adventure later thiss after. We sshould probably leave the city today and at leasst travel for a few hourss before camping. I have an errand to run and it appearss Kallandra hass one as well. Ssee you around noon to leave the city."
Then with a swish of his tail Ssej leaves the tavern in search of his god's shrine.
When Ssej leaves the tavern, Umeven falls into step and approaches him.
"Good morning. I hope you slept well. I am... Less so. I was out all night, looking into the strange behaviors of a certain wizard who travels with us. He tried to kill someone. Just some random person. Lured them into an alley, hypnotized them and was about to sacrifice them. I knew I would be working with the chosen servants of other gods, but I did not expect a god of murderous will to have been part of this. Has this been happening before?" He's rambling a bit, but he's getting the gist out there.
The shield remains silent for now, but you sense pleasure that you are now carrying it. You can go ahead and add a +2 shield to your inventory. I will let you know of other powers as they are made aware to you.
Callandra, Ssej, and Umeven
Leaving the tavern the three of you approach the gate into the lower city. Baldur’s Gate is the oldest and least impressive of the city’s gates, but is the only access point to enter the lower city from this direction. The guards stop everyone entering, asking their business, but mostly just requiring a 5 silver fee to enter the city. It becomes clear, as you get nearer these guards, that the answers to the questions are not important, just the payment of the fee.
You would all realize you need to meet at the far side of the city, not the gate you entered the city by yesterday, as the only way onward is out the far side, not the side you came in by.
Grishkar, Brock, and Itchika
What are you three doing this morning? Anything you wish to do prior to entering the lower city and making your way through to the far side?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kallandra also gives over her coin when it is time, bids her companions farewell, and leaves them, making her way to Sorcerous Sundries and asking directions as needed. She never forgets her danger and scans constantly for tails or anything else, periodically calling on her Mistress to aid her in this.
((What was the objective in coming to Baldur's Gate, again? I came in mid-journey, so I I have missed it.))

Yashin? Anyone else? Anything else people are doing here? Yashin, or anyone noticing the shield, anything there? Are we simply ready to move onward?

(Brock would probably try to sell the items from the last ambush, but probably not much else.)
Dormark Calling of Strahd (warforged cleric) 4
Ichika is not doing anything in particular so she’ll probably go with Brock (if he doesn’t mind) and then go meet everyone else.
Ssej waits as patiently as he can in line to enter the gate, handing over 5 SP, when asked.
Kallandra also gives over her coin when it is time, bids her companions farewell, and leaves them, making her way to Sorcerous Sundries and asking directions as needed. She never forgets her danger and scans constantly for tails or anything else, periodically calling on her Mistress to aid her in this.
