Exirsa's moves closer to the section of the wall that has been attacked. Her hand extends through the protective wall as if it was made of fluffy clouds instead of magical ice. She touches Dornal, the wall assailant, and utters a curse.
-> Dornal's WIS saving throw {DC 13}: 20
Thokk thinks he might have heard the words used for this curse before.
Thokk shakes his head, unable to recall what curse that might have been.
The curse takes effect. Dornal begins to fight with some sort of unwelcome influence on his mind. He begins babbling madly.
Exirsa then moves back to her previous spot. Any attempts at initiating an opportunistic attack against her are dismissed by her cloud-like consistency and the wall.
06. Insectoids (x2) - {AH-92} is concentrating on putrid cloud spell, {AH-94} dodged;
05. Exirsa - concentrating on wall spell;
MAP:
NOTES: Yellow circle represents Daylight. Blue "droplet" represents Exirsa's Wall. Red circle represents the Insectoid's Putrid Cloud. Please interpret the water-fountain in the map as the hags' cauldron. The gray stone squares where the statues used to be represent debris.
A large cloud up in the gloomy sky begins to darken. This localized cloud moves to cover part of the battlefield, which would dim the natural lighting in the area were it not for the Driftglobe's daylight.
Although nothing else seems to happen right now, something is brewing.
Rag only has one available target for his next arrow, and it is flying 40ft above gorund. The rogue concentrates extra hard on his aiming and releases the projectile:
-> Shortbow vs Green Fiend (Steady Aim, Sneak Attack): Attack: 20 Damage: 28 (20,28)
This arrow punctures the creature's gut. Although it doesn't seem too bothered by this new wound specifically, the winged fiend has sustained notable damage by now. (Green Fiend takes 14 piercing damage.)
In Neya's mind:
Bigar says telepathically: "If you plan to land into their walled-off area, take me with you."
Neya looks to Bigar in acknowledgement. She then flies up onto the roof he's on, next to him. She crouches down and gestures to her back and says, "Hop on!"
(If possible, cause the rules seem to have conflicting accounts on ready and dash
Once Bigar's on, she will start flying to the inside of the ice wall (as close to AG-96 as possible).
(If it was not possible)
She takes out one of her potions of greater healing and quaffs it.
(@Drache: We can say that Bigar uses his own reaction to hop on.)
Neya floats over to Bigar and the greenling thanks her mentally after hoping on. The two fly over the ice wall and into its enclosed space, though they remain hovering 5ft above the ground {AG-96}. The monk takes a second or two to pop in a potion of healing before she can land. (Neya recovers 9 HP.)
Being only 5ft from the ground, Bigar sees it fit to hop off and feel the ground beneath his feet once more. He finds a corner {AE-98} and, for the first time in this fight, pulls a bulky tome from within one of his droopy sleeves. He mumbles at the book as if it was mumbling back at him while flipping its own pages. Stopping at one of them, Bigar launches a spell at Exirsa, ironically launching at her a Witch Bolt.
-> [Tooltip Not Found] vs Exirsa: Attack: 8Damage: 15 (8,15)
The spell goes awry and twists upward, hitting nothing in its trajectory.
Just outside the northwest corner of the ice wall enclosure, Graxx shouts his frustration at the winged fiend and looks around for something else to hit in the meantime. Finding a patch of wall, he slashes at it twice with Tempus' Dogma. The first hit almost brings that section of ice down. The second swipe pulverizes it. (Ice Wall {AF-92,AF-93} takes 48 magical slashing and radiant damage and is DESTROYED.)
Graxx now has a clear view of and path into the hag's "bunker," including the cauldron inside. Nonetheless, the barbarian notices that ice particles floating in the air where the wall section used to stand now form a sheet of frigid air that separates him from the enemies inside.
(@Grx: You still have movement, so let me know if you want to use it.)
-> Dornal's beginning-of-turn WIS saving throw {DC 13}: 7
Dornal places both of his hands on his head and screams. Whatever is happening in his mind is taking all of his attention in this moment. He can't do anything but pace around and scream.
-> Dornal's Rage subsides once again.
The Green Fiend shows no rush in swooping in to reengage Graxx just yet. He flies a bit closer {AB-92,AC-93}, and reduces his altitude to 35ft. His form begins hovering in place, as if there were four green fiends trying to occupy the same space. CRAP has seen this spell many times, and recognizes it as Mirror Image.
(Utar is up next. He needs to roll a DEATH saving throw.)
Suddenly faced with an approaching barbarian, Lolmetta tries to refresh her paralyzing spell. She clocks Graxx, Neya, and Bigar as her targets and begins to mutter her devilish incantation. Bigar puts and end to it with an upcast counterspell.
In Neya's head, the greenling informs:
"That was my last counter. We better put an end to this soon."
(Doozey is next up. At the top of his turn, Peabody needs to roll a CON saving throw {DC 11} or take 26 poison damage on a fail or half as much on a success. Either way, this translates to another DEATH save fail. He is also blinded, which may come into play should he roll a Nat20 in the DEATH saving throw he needs to roll as well.)
With much more of his focus returned in part thanks to the potion, Doozey growled another goblin curse. "Thokk! Focus on the hags and their minions! Leave the triage to me and Utar until we're both down! Don't care how you doing it, but do it!" He called out to the Half-Orc, and just about starts off running only to nearly trip over his own fallen blade. Though he hesitates, torn between snatching up the blade and seeing to Utar, the stoutling spits out another goblin curse as he rushed off all the same, nimbly slipping past to stand over Utar. At which point he breaks out one of several draughts in side pouches labeled 'Emergencies ONLY!' and set about reviving the orc with it and a few other accouterments from his healer's kit.
Yet with little else to go as the man came to, Doozey found himself more or less needing to rush and start scampering up the wall with sharpened nails.
As for Peabody, he'd try his best to escape with a bit of called out instruction from Doozey... assuming he can awaken at all.
Movement: To AJ-92(unless able to end turn in Utar's space while unconcious).
Action: Healer's Healing on Utar, restoring 15 HP.
Movement(remaining): To AJ-92(up the wall 5ft).
OR(if not able to scale up from Utar's space)
Movement(remaining): AK-92.
Con Save(DC 11): 17.
Bonus Action(if Peabody revived): Command to Retreat.
(@Ori: With speed of 30ft, I don't think Doozey would have any movement left after "standing over Utar." That said, with both the Halfling Nimbleness and and Roving features backing him up, on top of being a Small creature, I'd say it is alright for Doozey to move directly to {AI-92}, squeeze/climb in there, and treat Utar.)
Peabody continues to suffer with the poison gas surrounding him for a bit longer, before his body tenses up in an instinctual protective reflex. (Peabodyfails a DEATH save and immediately succeeds a DEATH saveafterwards, which stabilizes him and resets his DEATH save count until he takes more damage.)
It is time for Doozey to scold someone, and Thokk is the chosen pair of ears. The gladiator jolts into attention and pockets the vial of healing potion he had found on Utar, presumably so he can come to CRAP's aid should they fall as ordered by Doozey.
(@MB: Please remove one of the common potions of healing from your inventory.)
Doozey then rushes in while avoiding the poisonous gas, finds an awkward position that has him half-crouching and half-perching on the ice wall, and forces Utar to sniff a putrid concoction that is rubbed on the half-orc's upper lip. The Tormite's eyes almost pop out of their sockets once they open, but at least he has regained consciousness. (Utar recovers 15 HP.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Elisande completely ignores Neya's arrival despite the monk being just 5ft away. In fact, Elisande seems to now be ignoring everything else that is happening around her. She stares into the bubbling cauldron but does not reach for its liquid content as demanded by Lolmetta earlier. That said, she seems ready to do so at any moment.
The insectoids' response is very different. They squeeze past their allies to reach the intruders ({AF-96} and {AF-97}). One focuses on Neya, the other on Bigar:
In turn, the adventurers' reactions are also quite the opposite from each other. Neya uses her forearms to expertly block both attacks coming at her. Bigar has no such training. He watches the creature's fork impale his stomach before its claws rob him of his consciousness. The greenling falls limply to the ground. (Bigar takes 16 magical piercing and slashing damage.)
