The loaded, dark cloud that had formed just above the battlefield has now come to completion. A localized blizzard begins to rage, engulfing those just outside the south border of Exirsa's ice wall. The blizzard is not strong enough to damage CRAP+, but those caught in it are considered blinded. The hag herself seems to also be caught in the blizzard, but is clearly unaffected by it.
-> Doozey, Utar, Thokk, and Dornal are now blinded.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Neya taps into her latent energy to fly towards Exirsa (to AG-93) with such swiftness that those immediately nearby could not respond (1 ki point for Step of the Wind). Once there she strikes at the purple skinned crone.
Unarmed Attack: 12 Damage: 8 magical bludgeoning
Extra Unarmed Attack: 22 Damage: 11 magical bludgeoning
Neya hovers over the cauldron after spinning her way out of trouble and punches Exirsa twice. Although the hag recoils with each strike, she manages to keep her magical wall up. (Exirsa takes 20 magical bludgeoning damage.)
Meanwhile, Graxx finally gets a chance to introduce one of the hags to Tempus' Dogma. Lolmetta cries out in pain after the first strike. Graxx can see the surprise in her face. She begins to prepare a new spell. Graxx has a feeling this is her emergency escape; she has been saving this for when no other measure would suffice... her ace up a sleeve. The barbarian's second swing ensures that she cannot finish her evil incantation.
Exirsa screams for her sister as Lolmetta's head rolls closer to her feet: "SISTER!" (Lolmetta takes 58 magical slashing and radiant damage and is DEFEATED.)
(@Grx: Lolmetta had exactly 58 HP left. What a pair of strikes!)
-> Dornal's beginning-of-turn WIS saving throw {DC 13}: 14 (14)
Whatever just happened inside the wall enclosure causes the curse on Dornal to waver a bit. Although the dwarf is still under its influence, he manages to regain enough control of himself to deliver another strike to the patch of wall in front of him:
-> Cudgel(Reckless Attack) vs Ice Wall: Attack: 17 Damage: 11
(OOC: Dornal's turn continues in the next post. Dornal is supposed to be blinded but the curse Exirsa put on him attracts Dornal to her. At least that's how I'm going with it.)
Dornal's first punch at the cold hag hits her ribs. Although she grunts, she remains in control of her faculties. (Exirsa takes 6 magical bludgeoning damage.)
Dornal is not done with the creepy lady. (1 Ki Point for Flurry of Blows and another one for a second Stunning Strike.)
This time, the strike proves to be too much for the hag. She is momentarily stunned by the blow to her chin, which forces the ice wall to magically disperse and gives Dornal an opening for one last strike before he has to catch his breath.
-> Punch(Reckless Attack) vs Exirsa: Attack: 22 Damage: 12 (22,12)
The sudden attacks by the brawling dwarf leaves Exirsa with little time to mourn for her sister. (Exirsa takes 25 magical bludgeoning damage.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC: I accidentally included Rage damage in three out of the four attacks Dornal rolled, so that's why the damage taken is a bit different from the damage rolled.)
The Green Fiend swoops down {AD-92,AE-93}and tries to retaliate against Graxx:
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Utar opens his eyes, then immediately screws them shut attempting to keep out the flurry of snow now surrounding him. Pushing his complaining body up from the floor and then onto his feet he quick scans around trying to make out his surroundings, but no, just white, too thick to see through. Feeling the wall of the building beside him, he can't quite be sure of his position, or that of his comrades.
"Better get ready, I'm coming through!"
(OOC1 - Using Graxx's patented movement decider - Assuming the top of the map was north and assuming Utar isn't quite so dense as to run full pelt towards a brick wall I'm going with the following: 1 - North, 2 - North East, 3 - East, 4 - South East, 5 - South, 6 - Re-roll... 5.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC2 - North East it is! Assume that once Utar blunders past the ice wall the blindness goes?)
Pushing away from the building, Utar stumbles into the blizzard pushing for AH,94.
Suddenly able to see again, and finding himself in the midst of things, he focuses on the two insectoid beings close to Bigar and Neya. Knowing that he likely needs this fight to finish soon, and in part wanting to bring the righteous fury of Torm down for good measure, he casts flame strike centred on AE,96/97 and AF96/97.
The insectoid warriors need to succeed on a DC16 DEX save or take 18 fire damage and 16 radiant damage. Half damage on a successful save.
(@MB: {AH-94} is unfortunately taken by Dornal at the moment, so I'll place Utar at {AI-94}. Either way, he would not be outside of the area of the localized blizzard. That said, Flame Strike doesn't specify you must see the point you are aiming for, so I hope the reinterpretation below is to your liking.)
Lost in the blizzard, Utar uses the wall to his left to help direct him northeast. He can't go far enough to emerge from the blizzard, but he is close enough to its edge to hear what is happening just beyond it. He can hear the skittering of the insectoids some 10 to 15ft ahead of him and decides to risk a powerful spell.
The closest insectoid is caught by surprised when radiant flames descend suddenly on their vicinity. The second one has a chance the evade some of the impact. Either way, fire does not seem to affect them much. (Insectoid#2 takes 21 fire and radiant damage, Insectoid#1 takes 10 fire and radiant damage.)
Utar has no way of knowing this at the moment, but the magical blast also catches Elisande and Bigar. Neya and Graxx watch as both of them go down. They are both unconscious, incapacitated, and prone. (Elisande takes 29 fire and radiant damage, Bigar takes 14 fire and radiant damage.)
Thokk is similarly [condition]blinded;lost in the blizzard[/action], but he can fell cold metal armor brushing against him and heading in the northeast direction. He doesn't know it is the northeast direction, but he has a good guess that might have been Utar. The gladiator follows, overtaking his fellow half-orc and popping out of the blizzard {AG-96}.
Suddenly faced with the two insectoids, Thokk attacks:
-> Gladiator's Trident(Improved Critical, Great Weapon Fighting, Savage Attacks) vs Insectoid#2: Attack: 24 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. (24,)
-> Gladiator's Trident(Improved Critical, Great Weapon Fighting, Savage Attacks) vs Insectoid#2: Attack: 23 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. (23,)
-> Re-rolling damage for Thokk's attacks: 1110 (10,13)
Two stabs of his magical trident are enough to bring down the insectoid who failed to avoid Utar's spell. (Insectoid#2 takes 23 magical piercing damage and is DEFEATED.)
-> Putrid gas cloud is gone.
(Doozey is up next. He is blinded but right at the edge of the blizzard. With the ice wall gone, Doozey suddenly finds himself in melee with a stunned Exirsa. Peabody needs to roll a DEATH saving throw.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Peabody's Death Save("DC 10"): 16. (Thought Peabody had stabilized, but wouldn't be surprised if I missed some damage.)
After regaining his footing following the sudden collapse of the wall, a growling Doozey pushed on northward in hopes of escaping the blizzard. "There ya are. Your and your sisters madness ends he--"The rest catches in his throat upon spying just within the peripheral the fallen form of Elisande and Bigar.
His arms started to tremble and gaze grew distant for a long moment. But then he suddenly squeezed his eyes shut and curtly shook his head."It's not like before.. It's not... Focus!"Doozey takes a deep breath, looks to and seems to consider Exira a moment more, before then focusing past her as and loosed sling bullet after sling bullet at the remaining insectoid, hoping to take it down before it got any ideas!
And if that proved not enough, then he's soon on the move, rolling under legs and hoping over Elisande to get up in the grill of the insectoid with a drawn silvered rapier.
Movement: To AH-92.
Special Wis Save(DC 14): 15.
Action: Bloody Slinger at remaining Insectoid. Deva Shot - Attack: 17 Damage: 8 magical bludgeoning and lightning and radiant damage. Deva Shot - Attack: 24 Damage: 16 magical bludgeoning and lightning and radiant damage.
(If insectoid miraculously dies to first attack, redirecting second to Exira. Ignore 3rd d4 in sequence if she's not considered a fiend or undead).
Movement(Doozey-IF Insectoid still alive): To AE-97(using halfling nimbleness).
Movement(Peabody-if revived): To get up from Prone.
(@Ori: You are right, Peabody is stable and the cloud is gone, so no DEATH save needed.)
Doozey manages to step just outside the blizzard. Exirsa is right there for the taking, but the ranger can't help but notice Elisande's and Bigar's dire conditions. Since the hag can't do much about his ranged attacks, Doozey shoots two of his holy water bullets at the remaining insectoid. While the added radiant damage goes through as expected, the lightning damage does not. (Insectoid#1 takes 20 magical bludgeoning, lightning, and radiant damage.)
Doozey then passes through several legs to reach his target. Peabody remains in a stable condition several feet away from the main battle.

Rag has pinpointed his target. He once again concentrates extra hard on his aiming and releases a projectile at the winged fiend:

This arrow hits the creature's chest this time but it is one of the illusory images that suffers the consequences. (See roll in post#1727.)
