'yes- I want Cadderly's mind on this one. And Danica will knock some sense into these people, I am sure. Lets go to their chambers- we were just there. " Merai says.
Ash was waiting patiently, but slowly felt the effect of the spell end. Embarrassment flared up and she stormed out into the hall, stark naked and no explanation that she could’ve heard. She bitterly grabbed her furs and clothed herself. She stared at the priestess with a look that amounted to hatred, but said nothing. She debated growing her tail and shattering the cleric’s spine, but since it seemed she was helping all of a sudden there wasn’t time for that. Still, whoever had made a fool of her would have their backs broken over it. Ash was sure of at least that much.
Very well then the Priestess says. You can tell she is embarrassed from her actions.
You make your way to back to Cadderally and Danica's room. Cadderally barely looks up from his work as you all enter feverishly crafting bolts. The Priestess casts a Remove Curse and douses Cadderally with Holy water. He flinches from the water. While he comes to his senses the Priestess likewise assists Danica from the curse.
Cadderally goes over and starts drawing with a pen with great urgency. He slowly loses momentum and struggles to keep drawing. He looks down at the picture and mumbles.
What is this? What is happening?
I suppressed the Chaos Curse, but I believe someone is also tampered with his memory. I think my actions disrupted that effect for a moment.
She grabs the parchment - it is scribbled with dark figures, skulls, a hooded figure and the symbol of Talona, the 3 teardrops in a triangle. Scribbled across the whole image is "WINE CELLAR"
I believe you know where you need to go. I will take these two to the infirmary and see if they need further tending. May the Gods bless you.
OOC - You guys can level up to Level 4 (3 for Pox) after your fight with the Priestess. Let me know what the party decides to do next.
Ash was still a grump as she watched the others. If she’d been in a better mood, she might’ve showed more concern for Danica and Cadderally, but she crossed her arms and merely observed. Once they had the wine cellar location, she barked rarely impatiently, “let us go end this foul magic. I need to repay whomever is responsible for my dishonor upstairs!”
She would let those who knew the library better lead the way, but heaven help all of them if there wasn’t someone to pay for this in the cellar. Violence was near her.
OOC: I think a rest would risk more of us falling victim to the curse’s effect. Perhaps a short rest makes sense but otherwise I think we should barrel on. Also IC, Ash would be very hard to motivate chilling out right now. Better to let her kill something to feel better. Lol
OOC - I too have been traveling across the country and haven't been able to check in
Little Iron, at first suspicious of the priestess, quickly follows. 'What an odd combination to overcome a curse', he thought to himself. 'Holy water?' Best start gathering that up and making more.

OOC- how is holy water made in 5e?
Curious about the holy water too! Could be useful to have some for later quests!
A Cleric or Paladin may create holy water by performing a Special ritual. The ritual takes 1 hour to perform, uses 25 gp worth of powdered silver, and requires the caster to expend a 1st-level spell slot.
OOC - Sorry for not posting in a bit! Work has been super hectic.
There is a spell to make Holy Water in one of the expansion books I can paste below - it's just the more fleshed out version of what Tesservet posted (price and spellslot). You were also given some when you left the library.
Let me know if you guys make your way to the wine cellar or want to rest first. Little Iron had cast detect magic prior and could see the curse as a pink mist - he can deduce that if you exit the grounds you could take rest outside of the area of effect.
Ceremony 1st-level evocation (ritual)
Casting Time: 1 hour Range: Touch Components: V, S, M (25 gp worth of powdered silver, which the spell consumes) Duration: Instantaneous (see below)
You perform one of several religious ceremonies. When you cast the spell, choose one of the following ceremonies, the target of which must be within 10 feet of you throughout the casting.
Atonement. You touch one willing creature whose alignment has changed, and you make a DC 20 Wisdom (Insight) check. On a successful check, you restore the target to its original alignment.
Bless Water. You touch one vial of water and cause it to become holy water.
Coming of Age. You touch one humanoid who is a young adult. For the next 24 hours, whenever the target makes an ability check, it can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the ability check. A creature can benefit from this rite only once.
Dedication. You touch one humanoid who wishes to be dedicated to your god’s service. For the next 24 hours, whenever the target makes a saving throw, it can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the save. A creature can benefit from this rite only once.
Funeral Rite. You touch one corpse, and for the next 7 days, the target can’t become undead by any means short of a Wish spell.
Investiture (UA). You touch one willing humanoid. Choose one 1st-level spell you have prepared and expend a spell slot and any material components as if you were casting that spell. The spell has no effect. Instead, the target can cast this spell once without having to expend a spell slot or use material components. If the target doesn’t cast the spell within 1 hour, the invested spell is lost.
Wedding. You touch adult humanoids willing to be bonded together in marriage. For the next 7 days, each target gains a +2 bonus to AC while they are within 30 feet of each other. A creature can benefit from this rite again only if widowed.
Copy that! You guys prepare for a rest. Remember with Merai's Religion Roll earlier while interacting with the Priestess that you learned consuming holy water will stave off the effects of the curse. Where will you be resting? You all still have your chambers you can use (which have doors that lock). Let me know if there are any other preparations you need made before heading to the wine cellar.
The library inhabitants are still under the effects - consumed by their base desires and with little mental compression to speak of. If you speak to anyone they may seem lucid for a moment before being sidetracked with their overwhelming obsessions.
(OOC: I totally thought I'd posted a response a couple days ago, I'm so sorry)
The hunter, still flabbergasted by the events unfolding before him, begins muttering under his breath about the true insanity taking place here. His faith dwindling in the people of this nation and even in the party. It appeared, to him at least, that the group was only too eager to make friends with someone who would cause them harm. Everyone here was strange.
Pendergast gathered his clothing and his belongings and geared himself back up, looking no more or less disheveled than before. He didn't trust this priestess, he was beginning to doubt his new-found friends and he couldn't shake this burning desire to go do anything that wasn't this. The interactions transpiring before Pendergast waffled between inane and boring, he saw no reason to interject until it came to the question of rest or pressing on.
"I'll do anything to get out of this madhouse faster, and it sounds to me like going to the cellar is the best way to do so." He anxiously begins tapping at the handle of his handaxe, itching to leave. "But before we do anything, does anyone have anymore wine?"
“We have holy water- which is what most of us will be drinking for a while I suspect. Let’s rest in our chambers. We can secure the doors, and then first thing in the morning after we’ve recovered our magical abilities we head to the wine cellars. There’s plenty of wine down there, and if we solve this issue we will have earned our share” says Merai
(Merai leads the group to her chambers, and we lock ourselves in. Pox takes up a station near the door and puts his bedroll out. (So he will have a good tactical position if anyone breaks in)
20 sleep
The man falls into a slumber. For a moment seems to be under control.
Shall we try to break the enchantment on Cadderally and Danica? Handsome Cadderally always knows how to handle a tricky situation.
The Priestess puts on her adventuring gear, slipping into a chain mail gown and adorning herself with holy symbols and clerical items.
'yes- I want Cadderly's mind on this one. And Danica will knock some sense into these people, I am sure. Lets go to their chambers- we were just there. " Merai says.
