(Just noticing, @wysperra correctly pointed out that i did specify grass was dufficukt terrain. Becasue we started combat so far apart, id like to forego this if youre all up fir it, since it seems like (i could be wrong about this) most of us ignored it anyhow. If I'm wrong and everybody was using DT movement, let me k iw and Ill adjust, otherwise, lets just say movement is normal if thats ok with the group. If walks should move farther, we can do that, but im pretty sure she's still in range of fireball.)
Hamish moves 80ft (definitely not difficult terrain for him) (using Dash action)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The woman in the lion marked armor runs South with amazing speed. She spri ts southeast to the edge of the cliff and looks up to see the helmed goblin leader with his javelin who shouts as he thrusts his javelin towards Hamish. She sprints toward the giant, tossing darts at him, then vanishing in a haze of shadows.
Dart 24 for 5
Dart 12 for 8
She reappears on the other side of Hamish and stabs a pair if sais into the giant's leg.
Tall grass can provide half cover, 3/4 if crouching, assuming line of sight is level. Hamish would not get the same cover. Prone would be considered heavily obscured, subject to conditions. Like Hamish towering above a hobgoblin less than 15ft away has a direct line of sight.
Tabaqui is up. The circle where the fireball was is scorched earth, no grass.
(ooc: I'm ok with either, but Calner would only be able to move 10 feet if difficult terrain and 25 feet if normal terrain... whichever everyone agrees on could you please move Calner back to either the 2nd square from the bottom or the 5th square... right now he is on the 9th square and could not reach there.)
(I am assuming the squares are 5 feet.)
Lost in the shuffle. I've moved him. Players can also move their tokens, just select the hand tool a d drag them. Probably allows you to change names a and color the ring around them too.
I did think i moved someone accidentally when I was moving tokw a earlier. This would match up with that. Ignore the Dex save, then.

Tauzan DEX Save: 29 (Evasion: When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a DEX saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.)
First sharpshooter: with cover, both shots miss. without cover, both shots hit, total of 22 damage. Second sharpshooter: both hit, total of 20 damage, halved by Uncanny Dodge reaction to 10
Fireball DEX Save 14 made with Evasion ability, for zero damage.
Both HG longbow attacks miss.
Tabaqui moves 30 ft southwest, and fires an arrow at HG 6, then drops down into tall grass again.
Shortbow Attack: 21 Damage: 10
For a bonus action, he will attempt to hide in the grass.
Marlyth will cast Plant Growth on the tall grass to enlarge the size of the plants and provide full cover for everyone. She will exclude the barren land affected by spell and move randomly to make it difficult for the spellcasters to discern her exact location.
Tauzan manages to completely dodge the fireball and the longbow attack misses as well.
Round 2: Tauzan runs up to Hobgoblin 6 and attacks with an unarmed strike and his khopesh (Attack). He follows with another unarmed strike (Bonus Action). (Unarmed Attack: 23 Damage: 8 bludgeon) (Khopesh Attack: 29 Damage: 10 slash) (Unarmed Attack: 21 Damage: 9 bludgeon)
(OOC - If by some chance Hobgoblin 6 is killed before all the attacks are made, Tauzan would continue forward to attack Hobgoblin 7.)
Agile Parry: If you make an unarmed strike as part of the Attack action on your turn and are holding a kensei weapon, you gain a +2 bonus to AC until the start of your next turn. AC now 22)
Tabaqui's arrow just manages to find a gap in the hibgoblins armor and deals a mortal wound, but the hobgoblin fights with his last breath to stay in his feet.. (@1hp)
He deftly dodges Tauzen's fist, blocks his kopesh, and as he moves to slice his lights foe with his shortsword, he takes a brutal kick to the groin, and tumbles to the ground, buried in a sea of grass.
<it'd been removed from the map. I've asked @inkedbee to draw Marlyths spell effect, since I dont know precisely where it's centered, and they seem comfortable with using the map tools. If not, I can guess where to center it and draw it in.>
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hobgoblin 7, struck by the eye beam, collapses to the ground, dead.
Hobgoblin 4 dashes toward Tauzen, while hobgoblin 5 attempts to scale the giant beside her (strength) 6 DC13. Slashing the giant with her sword (either way) 7 for 18
The elite captain of the platoon crawls through the thick vegetation, making hus way south in increments (legendary actions plus movement) . He spots 2 of his troops and encourages them to push onward (tactical command)
Warlock 2 stands, moves in front if the horse and casts a wall of fire, stretching 60ft to the south. The wall burns the vegetation to the West (5ft) along the path. (Not RAW, but follows my usual intent +possible = allowed)
The war chanter, meanwhile makes her way to the horse and mounts it, riding carefully to the path burning the grass. Fearlessly, she charges into the flames, relying on the warlock of the legions army arcana to protect her and her steed from the burning flames. (It's like sorc's careful spell). As she races through the flames, she chants a well known hobgoblin chant of cunning. (A rough translation in common: "Put your mind yo ot, let the willpower do it. Let's get to it. Halloo Halley!")
Hobgoblins 2 and 3 hearing the approaching war chanter are inspired ro dash toward the enemy. They hold and take aim at Hamish, whose head and shoulders tower above even the thickened tall grass as they reach an impassable thicket of brambles 8 for 13 , 7 for 15. After loosing their arrows, they hear the voice of their captain calling out "You're nearly at their throats. Allies surround the enemy! Press on!" and they manage to crawl through the razortjorn another 7ft <it's 1 square, but accurate and dramatic.>
From the north end of the battlefield, the other warlock casts a spell centered a few feet southwest of the perimeter if the area seared by a fireball. Soon a thick green fog if sulfur-smelling vapor rises from the ground as a stinking cloud settles over the souther part if the battlefield. The area (20' radius) is heavily obscured.
Marlyth, Calner. Tabaqui, Angus, Walks, Con save vs poison or, mechanically, 'lose a turn'.
Angus is up, then the Lioness and Hamish. Posting map here, then I'll post their actions, can retcon if Angus' turn precludes anything, but I don't anticipate it.
The lion fighter manages to advance 10ft, attacking Tauzen with her Sai 14 for 18 and a backfist from her offhand 9 for 6: DC 13 Con save or stunned until end of her next turn.
She then vanishes and reappears beside Walks, kicking her and stabbing with her Sai. 9 for 27 ; 23 for 7: DC 13 Con save or stunned until end of her next turn. The Lioness is unaffected by the smell of the cloud.
<edit: at the start of Angus' turn she is still north of HG4, beside Hamish. See previous map post (probably).>
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hamish struggles to keep the hobgiblin from scaling his person as he fends off arrows and swords. He fails to prevent her from climbing arop his burly shoulder, but parties her strike with his axe before feeling the sharp sring of a pair of well aimed arrows.
Hamish raises his axe and swipes at the hobgoblin at he's feet: 12 for 13 and moves 10ft north to bring his hammer down on HG2: 29 for 19.
Both goblins fall to the giant's trusty axe.
<pending Angus' turn, round 3 begins with Tabaqui. Posting at this time is probably OK, at the players' discretion>
The lion fighter manages to advance 10ft, attacking Tauzen with her Sai 13 for 25 and a backfist from her offhand 11 for 6: DC 13 Con save or stunned until end of her next turn.
She then vanishes and reappears beside Walks, kicking her and stabbing with her Sai. 22 for 23 ; 26 for 5: DC 13 Con save or stunned until end of her next turn. The Lioness is unaffected by the smell of the cloud.
<edit: at the start of Angus' turn she is still north of HG4, beside Hamish. See previous map post (probably).>
She needs to make a DC 16 WIS save in order to attack Walks as she is under Sanctuary protection.
CON save if needed 5

Hamish uses his axe to try and Parry the second Sai, (+2AC) but the lioness s weapon zips past the axe and finds its mark.

Calner is up
A willing creature that is at least one size larger than you and that has an appropriate anatomy can serve as a mount, using the following rules
A creature moving through the area must spend 4 feet of movement for every 1 foot it moves.
Looks good to me. I think the wording says 4ft for every 1ft, so standing or mounting should not cost extra movement.
Edit: he could be half cover until mounted. Then that would stop unless he were right on top (overhead) of the attacker.
