Kirari glances around quickly trying to assess the status of the others then spotting Inglenook's weakened state casts Healing Word as a bonus action on him healing 5 of his damage then glares at the stabby little Igor K holding a dagger freshly stained with her blood casts toll the dead on him as her regular action for 2 of damage.
@DM
toll the dead is a cantrip, healing word is a regular spell range 60' I can adjust if I've miscalculated my abilities with range or with casting. My understanding is two castings are ok as long as they are neither both spells nor both cantrips but one of each is ok. Wisdom save vs DC 12 for Toll. If Igor is already injured and fails save damage should be 1d12 instead due to existing injury but I don't think he was.
(OOC: I know this round has been a little confusing. I'll wait for Travis's move until about noon Pacific Time on Feb 21st to close the current round, and if I don't see a move, I'll start processing this next round, and we can work Travis into the next round.)
Travis steps up to the cultist close to him and taps the man on his shoulder as he draws his longsword. "Excuse me," he says. "I would never do this when someone has their back to me."
Then, using a two-handed grip as his shield is still stowed, Travis slashes at the cultist with as vicious a blow as he can muster.
The remaining kobold gets a bolt in the back and straight through their heart! The monsters have all been defeated!
"Thank you for your protection, and it was an honor to fight along side you," says Leosin. "We should make haste for Greenest as it will only be a matter of time until Mondath discovers I am missing!"
(Party members can search the bodies or make their way back to Greenest or the cultist camp if they wanted)

Kirari gives a deep breath of relief at the conclusion of the battle and looks in the direction of Greenest where the other Cultist fled. "We should find him before he gets himself killed. He shed the mask but still wears his garb."
(her survival and nature are both +4)
@DM
To track if the party decides that way: survival22 - nature would be same.
The professor nods to Kirari “I agree, we should track him down and make sure he’s heading back to Greenest. Are we going to search these bodies? Maybe we can hide the bodies or get rid of them so our disappearance remains hidden from the camp longer.”
Travis nods at Thaddeus's suggestion. "Let us be quick about it," he says to the group. "Kirari, you and I should move the big ones, the others can handle the kobolds." He looks about for some bushes, fallen trees, tall grass, or wherever to hide bodies and then sets to work, doing a quick search of each before stashing it.

Travis should see a steep drop-off from the plateau to the north that would keep the bodies out of view from anyone on the road. You would not find much on the kobolds aside from their daggers and slings. The cultists (Igor and Ichabod) have the following loot when you pool both of their wallets together: 6 cp and 1 sp
The cultists have crude dragon talismans, and Igor has a half-finished poem in his belt: "Glory to Tiamat / I should have realized that / I'll never get back to Greenest / because the cultists are the fiercest"
For Kiari:
You see the fresh tracks of the fleeing cultist and he has also dropped his red dragon talisman. The tracks are definitely headed toward Greenest.
Cale takes Kelvini's ring from his pocket, turns it in his hand mournfully and then puts it back. He looks in the direction of the camp and then says to the others "Yes, let's get Leosin back to Greenest and tell them what we've found. I have an errand to run too, when we get there"
Kirari nods to Travis, removing a couple slings and daggers from the bodies quickly (two of each), then grasps the first body under the arms at its head. She hefts him easily though not particularly strong but used to hard work keeping pace with the human as they move the bodies out of sight being certain in doing so that they are dead. (if not potential spare the dying)
As she helps the human move the bodies where they will, she points off in the distance. "There, near that bush. The one with the branch that points out of it oddly. A red Talisman lies under it, and tracks. He headed through there." She says pointing out the results of her tracking.
"What of Kelvini? He'll surely be killed for his deception?" She asks Travis quietly, though possibly overheard, as they move the bodies remembering what Leosin had said. "Can we get back to rescue the others fast enough?"
Hearing Kiari and seeing Cale's mournful look, Leosin interjects, "I feel for Kelvini and his sacrifice. I may slow you down if you head back to the camp to try and rescue the others, so I can try to make it back to Greenest on my own. That said, if Mondath has discovered the ruse, we may have more kobolds, mercenaries, and drakes headed our way right now."
Thaddeus helps carry the bodies over to the cliff edge where they fling them over the side. He is careful not to look at the bodies as the fall or hit the ground.
At the suggestion of returning to the camp, the professor shakes his head, “I think that would be very dangerous for any of us. This Mondath has a small army with him and if we don’t get moving soon, they’ll come here looking for us. In fact, we may need to hide our trail so they can’t follow us. Kirari, can you do that? At least for a few miles…?”
Leosin nods and offers his thanks to the party by saying, "Your bravery will not be forgotten, and you have my deepest thanks. I know a way back to Greenest over the fields and off of this path to try and aid in our return."
With Leosin's route, you would not meet any danger, though much of the trek Leosin is in deep thought. You also do not see any signs of a pursuit from the cultists. It is nearly morning when you get back to Greenest and the keep. The monks would spot you upon your return and the leader of Leosin's order says, "Thank you for rescuing this monk of our order. The gods of light heard our prayers!"
Leosin smiles and then tells the party, "I must rest now, but please some see me at the end of the next day. I am afraid I will need to ask something of you." He then turns to follow his brother monks to their area of the keep. Escobert and Nighthill are happy to see you all and provide you lodgings and food for the next day and night.
(OOC: Level up! You are at level 3, and we have finished this chapter of the campaign! I will post soon with what Leosin is going to ask of you...)
Cale heads to his quarters in silence, the stuffing knocked from him by the day's events. He mulls heavily on the decisions he made, the skills he deployed, and how he could have changed the course of fate for the better if he had been able to arm himself better, or communicate with his team from a distance. He remembers the words of an 'associate' from the streets; "If you want something to happen, you have to see it in his mind". Cale had never taken the words literally, but wondered if it was worth a try...
The next morning, refreshed and with time to pass before meeting Leosin, he seeks out Kelvini's wife with the ring and the message.
Inglenook, trudges tiredly alongside the others through the field on their way back to greenest. He keeps himself intentionally isolated from the others, using the time to improve his recent designs on his new project. Any chance they have to sit and rest he sketches, and rewrites plans.
When they get to Greenest he unpacks all of his belongings (makes sure he has a decent meal) then works through his self made instructions, spending many hours with his tools, and walking around greenest gathering what materials he is missing before retiring to his room on his own.
He wakes in the morning at his desk, with some papers stuck to his lips with dribble. He releases the hammer in his hands, realising that he had been gripping it in his sleep, the dents of the handle still showing on his palm. He carefully wraps his newest creation in a large drawstring bag, attaches it to his backpack of the same size.
Smiling to himself, he sets off to find the others and follows the scent of meat cooking and eggs being fried.
Kirari returns heavy with thoughts of Kelvini and his willingness to put himself in danger for the good of Greenest. Knowing the decision was right to return with what they now know of the encampment and accompanied by Leosin who most assuredly had even more valuable information, she finds herself arising when the moon shines brightest and seeking its glow and mercy. Praying with a deep reverence for all of the sacrifice and suffering she has seen these past days, she calls upon Selune mercy to somehow shelter Kelvini in some way from the wrath that may be dealt upon him.
Rising, she feels somehow changed by her experiences. Stronger in her understanding of these people and enhanced somehow in her faith of Selune. She whispers an additional prayer of thanks for her own blessings and returns to her quarters for rest, wrapping her eyes tight against the cracks of light that cause sleep to evade her until all are hidden and drifts off until the mornings meal preparations awaken her.
She greets the others in the dining area, eager to enjoy the morning's meal and sees that her friends seem changed by their experiences too. Noting Cale's absence for now, she realizes what he must be off to do and wishes that she'd have thought to join him to add comfort to Kelvini's family.
