Quick backstory; (If so desired, you can PM me a more in-depth backstory)
Two rumors; (One good, one bad, and whether or not they are true)
Dark secret; (Put this in a spoiler or PM me please)
One unique skill/trait that has no real effect mechanically, but you want them to have (Not necessary, but fun anyways)
And finally, one unique skill/trait/item that is slightly broken but would be really fun to rp/flesh out/slaughter things with. (ex. I currently have a player that can disarm an opponent in much the same way a Monk's deflection ability works)
Quick backstory: Obirith is child of an ancient blue dragon and a Paladin the God Bane. In order to make a powerful servant for her God his mother offered great riches to the dragon in exchange for a child. From the time he was born Obirith was surrounded by the dark rituals and teachings of the evil God. Like his mother he took to the path of war, learning to use both his body and weapons to slaughter those that would oppose him.
Eventually Obirith grew bored of this, his draconic blood making him wish to gather up his spoils of war and find a place to carve out a lair. His sudden laziness angered Bane and so he was stripped of his blessings. Not pleased with this loss of power, Obirith set out to get revenge on the God, his draconic arrogance fueling him.
Two rumors: Obirith has thrown off the shackles of an evil God and is going to put an end to the Worship of Bane. (Partially True)
During his service to Bane, the half dragon led a war party to raid several villages, killing all that did not bow to the word of Bane. (True)
Dark secret:
Obirith killed a powerful cleric of Bhal the God of murder blamed it on one of his former companions. Despite this both he and the companion are now hunted by assassins and other servants of Bhal.
One unique skill/trait that has no real effect mechanically, but you want them to have (Not necessary, but fun anyways): Obirith always sleeps in private but this is due to the fact that he always scatters his gold and other trinkets inside his sleeping roll. This is something he got from his father.
Broken Skill: Obirith has learned to use his tail in combat in mix with his weapons. As a bonus action whenever he makes the attack action he can follow it up with a swing of his tail, dealing a d6 plus his strength modifier bludgeoning damage.
Quick backstory; Second, bastard son to a minor noble family, Dario Stormrunner was all but discarded until he was put to the test during combat exhibitions, besting all of his siblings except the eldest, yet still seen as a threat, he was sent away to be trained as a Paladin granting him power beyond that of a normal soldier with the sole requirement being that he swore loyalty to the family heir Sebastian. He did so, showing respect for his brother, as they treated each other as true siblings and had a healthy rivalry. He is a proven protector of his family in spite of being doubted and his loyalties being questioned. He fights to prove his worth and stake his claim on a world that he feels is ripe for the taking
Two rumors; (One good, one bad, and whether or not they are true)
Good: He is said to foster a group of orphans in a nearby town, supporting them financially and visiting in secret when possible (true)
Bad: He's masterminded several conflicts in the region to make himself look good and gain notoriety (Also True :) )
Dark secret;
He was reunited with his birth mother and half sibling by chance as a young adult. While they were happy to finally meet him... he was unsatisfied with what he found, he quickly had them exiled from the region his "real" family oversees. He regrets this decision and will not speak of it to anyone, nor does he have the courage to seek them out again.
One unique skill/trait that has no real effect mechanically, but you want them to have (Not necessary, but fun anyways): He's oddly good geography, typically knowing where he is going or where he is once he has a point of reference.
And finally, one unique skill/trait/item that is slightly broken but would be really fun to rp/flesh out/slaughter things with. (ex. I currently have a player that can disarm an opponent in much the same way a Monk's deflection ability works) Either that he can dual wield polearms/give all polearms the thrown property or with his combat training, he excels at dismounting foes (advantage against mounted opponents and centaurs)
Quick backstory: third out of five siblings, Kiori was born in the tall mountains up north. He learned to survive from the land and provide for his tribe. But making a name for himself was hard. His people's legends spoke of dragons and how they killed even the most skilled warriors among then. Desperate to prove himself and angry that so many of his people died at dragons claws and fire he departed, searching for a dragon to hunt and make a name for himself.
Two rumors: - good: he once fought two ogres at once and lived to tell the tale (false) - bad: he was exiled from his tribe for causing the death of an elder trough inaction (false)
Dark secret:
before leaving his tribe, an avalanche burried his home at night. While looking for survivors he saw his father's war pick and hid it away. While his family believes that the weapon was lost in the disaster, he took it for himself before leaving searching for adventures.
One unique skill/trait that has no real effect mechanically, but you want them to have: Kiori learned how to brew mead from a hermit and carries a skin of fermenting watered down honey which he tastes weekly until he considers it good enough to share.
And finally, one unique skill/trait/item that is slightly broken but would be really fun to rp/flesh out/slaughter things with: accustomed to shout from one mountain peak to another, Kiori can channel his voice in a mighty roar and cause creatures in a 15 foot cone in front of him to take thunder damage (reskinning the breath weapon dragonborn trait for exact numbers)
Quick backstory: Xyrrel was born to a minor noble human family, but even at birth his appearance was clearly different than others in his family. His bright white hair and dazzling amber eyes suggested a divine aspect. The family had always been ardent followers of Amaunator, and the local clergy had seen many omens of the god's favor leading up to his birth. His birth then was taken as a sign of their god's favor. The family owed much of its position to the patronage of the House of Goldwood, loyal kin of the ruling family. The families shared in their devotion to Amaunator. Xyrrel was of course well educated and was brought up to become a knight. When of age, he became a knight in the service of the Duke Goldwood, pledging himself as a paladin to both the Goldwood family and his nation.
Two rumors - one good, one bad:
Xyrrel's Aasimar heritage is not just a divine blessing but he actually is the child of an angelic creature.
Neither he nor his family know, but this is true. (I'm not sure if this is the good one or bad one!)
The young woman that is part of Xyrrel's retinue is secretly his lover.
This is false. (Guess I'm assuming this is the bad rumor, so the above must be good?)
Dark secret:
I am thinking of two inter-related parts to this:
1. (Building off of the good-ish rumor.) Xyrrel's actual ancestry could of course be an issue for his human father. He is technically an illegitimate child and technically his mother could face punishment if it were discovered her husband is not truly the father. On the other, celestial side, this also could become an issue. The celestial being was not supposed to be getting involved with human women - particularly the one he did. Amaunator however did accept that the Lindenhill family should have received the blessing an Aasimar in the family and is pleased how Xyrrel has dedicated himself to his service and that of both the Lindenhill and Goldwood families. However, technically this situation goes against the dictates of the religion and has somewhat upset the hierarchy of celestials in service to Amaunator.
2. Xyrrel, perhaps due to his nature, or perhaps due to some underlying curse, cannot directly lie. Omissions are fine and he can perhaps get away with misdirection in his words, but he is simply incapable of lying. There have only been a few occasions where he has been directly confronted by a question that he found himself unable to get out of giving an honest response he wished he didn't have to make. (Not horrible, but one particular ball where he was expected to escort a beautiful but rather unpleasant nobleman's daughter, after an hour she unexpectedly asked him if whether he disliked her. Unable to quickly think of a way out he simply replied truthfully with a 'yes'. She was furious and of course both her family and his were upset over the faux pas.)
One unique skill/trait: Xyrrel is an expert in the laws of the Kingdom he is from. (I left that open, but presume it is some part of the Lord's Alliance if that is appropriate.) Due to his interest in the law, he would be well versed in legal practice most anywhere.
One unique skill/trait/item: My thought was along the lines of an innate ability against lying. Initially it manifests Advantage to Insight specifically to tell if someone is lying. (Similarly, others might have Disadvantage trying to use Deception on him.) In time it grows to other things, such as Advantage against being charmed, Advantage against illusions, then progressing to immunity to being charmed and perhaps truesight.
Perhaps disadvantage from this is being susceptible to anything that might affect a Celestial. (Detect/Protect/Dispel Good and Evil or Magic Circle for instance.)
Oath: Vengeance Poor, lazy, unhealthy leeches on society must die. Hard working, wealthy citizens are revered. Governments that provide any aid or public services, especially through taxation, are to be stopped by any means necessary. Public schools, churches that give handouts, and other welfare organizations shall be razed, burned to the ground or disrupted.
Race: Human
Two rumors: (One good, one bad, and whether or not they are true) 1. I love killing the weak (true) 2. I once killed a woman for leaving her post to relieve herself (untrue - she left because her water broke)
Dark secret:
My mother often helped the poor and gave away our resources to the non-deserving.
One unique skill/trait: I carry a sack of poisoned apples to hand out to little urchin beggars.
And finally, one unique skill/trait/item that is slightly broken: I deserve to rest, relax and imbibe because I've earned it, while others I see doing these things are lazy and deserve death.
Quick backstory; Born as a street rat, Lanie spent most of her life for theft, fraud and a lot of other pitiful crimes. This life style eventually leaded her to the special room in the jail. It was that time her deity talked with Lanie, giving her offer that she couldn't resist. Staying behind bars or becoming a cool shining divine warrior. You can guess which she choosed.
Two rumors;
Good: Lanie helps ones in need irrespective of their rank or wealth.( True )
Bad: Sometimes when she lends her service to rich people, precious stones or coins disappears from their home. ( Also True )
Dark secret;
There are many dark secrets inside Lanie's pocket, but biggest one probably is…… she is a dark half elf who hates her father and preparing to kill him.
One unique skill that has no real effect mechanically,
Lanie has synesthesia and can see the colors of sounds.
One Broken item:
Lanie has a Ring of Invisibility which actually contains a genie who will let her multiclass with warlock after level 4.
Quick backstory: Son of orcish father and human mother, who met in the woods near the border and fashioned a relationship over time. His town and the surrounding area were devastated by a orc raid, resulting in the deaths of everyone in his village including his mother. Gark was the only survivor as he had been wandering in the woods. Orphaned, he was found and raised by the church of Hoar, eventually taking an oath of vengeance to deliver justice to all orcs for their many and brutal crimes against the innocent.
Two rumors:
Good - Gark saved a town and stopped an entire orc raiding party by himself (true)
Bad - Gark slew an unarmed orc child in cold blood (true)
Dark secret:
Deep down, Gark is still just the scared little boy found on the street, he only appears to be brave during activities involved with dispensing justice to fulfill the oath
One unique skill/trait that has no real effect mechanically
Having spent some of his formative years homeless and orphaned, Gark is able to eat anything even remotely resembling food -- alive, dead, or rotting
One unique skill/trait/item that is slightly broken
All damage rolls are at max if an orc is within 100 ft of Gark
Born in the village of Warclaw, not far from the city of West Cedarspoke, Lowka loved the freedom of the forests. However, he was bitten by the desire to see the other forests of the north and their great hardwood trees. Having seen the destruction in Cormyr wrought by the Netheril, Lowki swore that he would fight such evil and protect the creatures of the forest, plains and mountains from destruction. On his return, he joined the Fellowship of the Purple Staff and set out on his errantry.
Rumors: Within the sea of fallen stars are the ruins of an ancient Eldarin city, with a statue of Silvanus made of emerald (False). There is a secret chapter house of the Netherese in Saerloon.
Dark Secret: 1) Lowki is a member of a secret sect (the Hunters) among the Fellowship which worships Silvanus. 2) Initiation into the Hunters requires the hunting and execution of a Netherese warrior, in the combat an innocent child was killed by a deflected arrow from Lowki.
Unique Skill: Lowki is double jointed in the thumbs and elbow, making it nearly impossible to be bound by normal means
Item: Lowki carries small iron box (about the size of a necklace box) in which he keeps a small piece of a gelatinous cube.
Quick backstory; (If so desired, you can PM me a more in-depth backstory): Ja’Rav of The Morning Lake lived a normal life until his tribe was wiped out by a plague. He, and the few other remainders, became Paladins of Liriroin’Alaer (Homebrew), their god, to scourge the plague from as many people as possible. It worked fine, until deeper oaths were required. This created a divide between the ones who went with The Oath of The Watchers, and those of The Oath of Vengeance. He and two others, however, chose the Oath of Redemption, as they, being the last to say their oaths, saw the infighting. He keeps in touch with the two via Sending Stones, with a hub of Sending Stones (Think Tashik in the Stormlight Archive, but a company). Their names are Lar’Kalar and Parea’Jever. They are separate, but they continue to follow their oath to scourge plague from the world.
Two rumors; (One good, one bad, and whether or not they are true);I am secretly a Demi-God who is only healing people for his ego (Not true, bad). I have to heal those who are sick, by the tenets of my oath, unless I cannot (True, Good)
Dark secret; (Put this in a spoiler or PM me please); I killed the previous leader of my clan, Gor’Goraz. He was not evil, though.
One unique skill/trait that has no real effect mechanically, but you want them to have (Not necessary, but fun anyways): I have a seemingly endless tolerance for liqueurs.
And finally, one unique skill/trait/item that is slightly broken but would be really fun to rp/flesh out/slaughter things with. (ex. I currently have a player that can disarm an opponent in much the same way a Monk's deflection ability works); Anyone I designate is immune to disease until I end the effect on them, by choice only. No one has the ability to force the change. It has to be by me, willingly (Yes, this includes being tortured into doing it. I can break it in that case.).

I will take a closer look over these applications so sorry it took me so long and hope to start soon! Thank you so much for being patient! I will have a line-up later today!
Dark forces are moving in the land of Fearann, and a group of paladins have been drafted together to investigate, and eliminate, sprouts of evil popping up. The catch? They all have different oaths. This will be a 40/60 combat/rp game with a lean into the confliction of oaths. As the title implies, the adventuring party will comprise entirely of Paladins. Recruitment starts at level 3 (so you can already have your oath), all races and subclasses are allowed, and homebrew is encouraged (but not a requirement). In addition, you get one free ASI, two uncommon magic items (Again, homebrew encouraged, but not necessary), and 250 gp for non-magical equipment.

Farewell.
Sounds interesting. How do you want Ability Scores to be determined?
I would prefer Point Buy or Standard Array if you please.
Farewell.
I do not need to know your scores. Please do not tell me your scores. It’s just one more thing for me to keep track of.

"ALWAYS GIVE A MONSTER AN EVEN BREAK!"
1st Edition DMG
Name: Ja’Rav of The Morning Lake
Oath: Redemption
Race: Leonin
