Yulmiath holds the haft of his greataxe in one hand and the wooden warhammer in the other. From his spot out of sight of the snail, he gets himself closer to the statue in case a little muscle is needed.

With the snail off the central platform thanks to Kairus' efforts, Hun and Mr. Thicc move closer to their obsidian target and, with the help of some leftover snail goo, begin to perform surgery on the layer of softened "glass" trapping their prize. Yulmiath moves a bit closer should their delicate approach need to shift into something more abrupt. Rhogal prepares for the worse by re-summoning his shillelagh. Krodhen also remains ready to act as needed.
Hun is making good progress but can't help regretting giving his chisel away. That particular tool would be quite useful here. Having to find an alternative, the artificer asks some help from Mr. Thicc. The construct's force-powered taps on the "glass" are a lot noisier than the kobold was hoping. It takes a few seconds, but soon the snail is unable to ignore the assault on its hoard. Shifting its focus back to the central platform, its five mace-like appendages begin to harden and turn red once more.
(@Ori: Please roll a tinker's tools check to determine how many rounds you'll need in order to free the snake statuette from the "glass".)

Knowing that the snail likely can't understand him, nevertheless, Yulmiath attempts to goad it towards him anyway. If he can give Karius space to do his thing, Hun time to free the statue and Rhogal and Krodhen time to bring the hurt, the Packers should be in a good place.
"Hey, hey! Look over here. Come and get me you oversized garden pest! I've plenty of salt for ya!"
Stowing the warhammer, he places both hands on the greataxe, all the better to sever one of the snail's antenna.
Ready a greataxe attack should the snail come into range.
(@Ori: Yep, that's good. With that roll, you figure you'll free the statuette in three more turns. You'll need to spend your action focusing on the task at hand on each of those turns.)
It is hard for Yulmiath to tell whether the snail is coming for him or for Hun, as the shortest path the beast can take to reach either of them is pretty much the same. Deciding to play defense, the dragonborn waits for the snail to get closer on its own pace.
The monster does as expected and gets closer to the barbarian {EC-34,ED-35}. Yulmiath swings his axe a bit too impatiently, mistiming the arrival of the snail within his range. His axe's blade never makes contact with the his foe.
As the snail inches forward, the intensity of the shimmering hues on its shell begins to increase. The swirling blues, yellows, silvers, and whites suddenly explode in a flash of mesmerizing multi-colored light. Those near the snail can't help but look:
Kairus manages to shield his eyes before it is too late, but Yulmiath, Hun, and Mr. Thicc become temporarily unable to focus on anything else but the Snail's shell. They are momentarily stunned.
The light of the shell just about reaches Rhogal and Krodhen, but they seem to be at a safer distance. Nonetheless, It is a bit tricky to tell where exactly the snail is within that brightly lit area.
(Hun and Mr. Thicc are stunned and incapacitated. Kairus, Krodhen, and Rhogal may take their turns. Attacks against the Snail have disadvantage.)
Kairus still was not sure whether or not the beast could understand the humanoid's speech. But the snail had to have some brain and was probably susceptible to other influences than food offerings. It was worth a try, at least. He squinted in the direction of a shiny blob and sent there a string of harsh sounds, hoping the shell will ampify the effect:
He immediately changed the tune to the clear and pleasant, sending it to the others still standing: "It's slow not that bright under the shell. You can beat it!"
Bardic Inspiration to Krodhen

Squinting as he struggles to pinpoint the shining snail, Rhogal tries to invoke any latent spores on the creatures flesh in an effort to sap its vitality with a cry of "Xylaria!"
Hun's surgery has to pause for a moment while the kobold and his construct are mesmerized by the shinning snail. The light from the shell reflects from the kobold's eyes. From a distance, Krodhen and Rhogal can see the bright yellows of the artificer's eyes pierce though the area of magical light.
Lowering his hands away from his face, Kairus reacts first. He weaves a series of dissonant whispers and sends them toward the snail. The mental spell finds a hold in the creature's mind, causing its flail-like appendages to briefly change color to blue before returning to their menacing red coloration. Unfortunately for Kairus, the creature's flight instinct also triggers. It moves 10ft farther away from the bard, which happens to put it even closer to Hun {ED-32,EE-33}. (Flail Snail takes 5 psychic damage.)
Kairus then recruits Krodhen's help (Bardic Inspiration). Nonetheless, it is Rhogal who responds first. Relying on the spores of the mushrooms in the chamber, the druid fills them with necrotic power. He thinks he got the snail but can't be sure how exact his spellcasting was (Flail Snail takes 2 necrotic damage.)
As things rapidly go bad for the group Krodhen hisses "Shit, shit, shit" and runs forward (EK35), first pointing toward the snail and calling out to Tyr to cast Hunter's Mark, before pulling out a javelin and sending it toward the bright light obscuring the snail form
(@MuggsHill: Blue goo is difficult terrain, so Krodhen can only reach as far as {EN-35} this round.)
Called into action, Krodhen runs toward the raised platform and pulls a javelin out as once he realizes he is not going to make it as far as he was planning within the first few second of movement. His target is still a bit far, and somewhat shrouded in a flash of multi-colored light, but neither of these circumstances prevent the half-orc from launching his projectile. The javelin disappears into the area of light and, a couple of seconds later, the paladin can hear the kling-klank sounds of its metal tip hitting nothing but the ground.

The intensity of the snails' scintillating shell begins to fade gradually. Before its emanated light is completely out, the snail finally brings its red flails into action after moving closer to its targets {EE-32,EF-33}.
With all of its immediate targets still under the effects of its light, the snail has it easy. That said, one of its tentacles still manages to hit a nearby pile of treasure instead of Hun. Three other attacks manage to hurt the group's dragonborn, kobold, and construct, with Yulmiath being unlucky enough to be targeted by the fifth and last tentacle. Luckily for him, Kairus' magical tune (Cutting Words) forces this last tentacle to recoil in the last second. (Hun takes 4 bludgeoning damage; Mr.Thicc takes 4 bludgeoning damage; Yulmiath takes 5 bludgeoning damage.)
Once this recent flurry of attacks is past, the scintillating light of the creature's shell fades for now. The snail's three targets are no longer mesmerized.
Ah, everyone was up but in a way too close proximity to the pretty snail! There was one way to somewhat equal the chances and Kairus played a familiar tune to do so:
"Raise, oh mighty dragonborn, and crush the enemy!"Enlarge on Yulmiath with additional Bardic Inspiration to him.
(Also, I believe the first attack on Yulmiath can be prevented with the Cutting words?)

"Oh for the love of Tyr" he calls out watching his javelin sail into the rocks, and advances straight ahead to EH35 and flings another of his javelins at the giant snail

Fortune Roll: 22 or 1. (@Lerus: Just to get this out of the way. Not sure which would've been preferable so went with both and leave ya to decide which. And if determining favorable odds left to moi, I'd go with the low end.)
While not the most pleasant awakening Hun yet mentally thanked the critter for sharpening the Kobold's focus with the little love tap. With a sharp word in draconic from Hun, Mr. Thicc stepped forward as if to engage the creature, sparing (or so is hoped) Hun a free moment's distraction to assess the statue and time left to uncover it. But short of a miracle that was the creature shattering it free or but moments away from such with just a 'bit' more work, the Kobold would otherwise turn his full attention and ire on the snail in a snarl and release of pheromones to inspire fear and hesitation in the creature.
"I gave you a chance ya oversized snack. Now you get the stabbies!" He declared as dropped tools in favor of breaking out and throwing ye old rocket shishkabober the snails way.
Bonus Action(Hun): Draconic Cry, granting adv. on attacks on Flail Snail for all until start of next turn.
Future Reaction(Mr. Thicc): Deflect attack on 1st attack aimed at Hun from Snail. Future Reaction(Hun): If he would be hit with an attack roll between 18 to 22, Hun would cast Shield to raise his AC to 23.
