A little surprised that his attack did not kill the lizard, Krodhen let's out a "Hmmph" as he deflects bite and follows up with another swing of his longsword
If this strike kills the lizard, he will move diagonally toward Kairus, figuring the Bard is most outnumbered (FO44), otherwise he will move one square down and stay in melee with the critter.
Kairus indeed found himself in a tight spot - melee range was not something he particularly excelled in. He tried to rectify the situation with what he had. Dramatic hissing toward one lizard changed into that mixed tune he was so proud of finding and Kairus made a few heavy steps toward Krodhen.
(@Drache: Reading Halo of Spores again, it sounds to me like this is a reaction you can only take in someone's turn as they enter a space within 10ft of you or start their own turns within that area.)

If Krodhen can take the benefit of Kairus's Bardic Inspiration due to the initiative order here is the ADV roll for the attack 14, failing that, happy to use the DM's inspiration to get the extra roll if needed
In a single swift move, Rhogalmagically reinforces his staff, wacks the creature near him, and prepares to activates his ever-present harming spores. The bonk startles the creature but the druid will need a lot more than that to defeat his foe. (Giant Lizard#8 takes 6 magical bludgeoning damage.)
Feeling a little surrounded, Kairus sends some dissonant whispers to assail one of the lizards attacking him. The spell works as intended and the creature skitters away in the same direction it had initially approached from. (Giant Lizard#2 takes 14 psychic damage.)
Kairus then retreats a bit further {FO-46}, the mud hindering his speed. The other lizard takes the opportunity to attack:
(OOC: Silvery Barbs triggers but the attack still hits. Krodhen gains advantage on his attack without having to use the DM's Inspiration token.)
Despite the magical distraction, the lizard still manages to bite a piece of Kairus' arm skin off. The triton screams in pain as he moves away. (Kairus takes 3 piercing damage.)
The almost literal "silver lining" flows from the affected lizard to Krodhen. The paladin uses the momentary advantage immediately, slashing his sword against the lizard he had already marked. The cut is deep enough to put the creature down. (Giant Lizard#1 takes 12 magical slashing damage and is DEFEATED.)
Krodhen then moves closer to Kairus {FO-44} expecting two lizards to come after the bard.
Before the lizards can attack, the spores Rhogal had activated take effect. (Giant Lizard#8 takes 4 necrotic damage.)
The five lizards who are already engaged in combat continue to try to claim their meals. The other two give chase to Kairus, with one of them changing focus to Krodhen as it gets closer.
Krodhen does not move his shield quickly enough this time but his armor is enough to completely nullify the attack, while Hun's assailant is deterred by his still frozen muscles.
Despite Mr. Thicc's interference, the lizard with spores now growing on it's back still manages to chomp down on Rhogal. Equally unlucky, Kairus spills more blood on the mud. (Rhogal takes 9 piercing damage; Kairus takes 8 piercing damage.)
Yulmiath manages to slap a lizard's maw away but opens himself to the two other reptiles. (Yulmiath takes 4 piercing damage, already halved.)
-> Concentration checks for Kairus {DC 10}: 96
(Hun and Yulmiath are up next. Hun is in melee with one lizard and Yulmiath with three. If Kairus fails one of his two concentration checks above, then Yulmiath would no longer be enlarged.)
"Hah! It'll take more than that take me down you oversized turd waddler!"Hun yelled at the lizard in his face while marching around to the south of it. "Mr. Thicc to FJ-47 and strike Lizard of FI-48! Mr. Yully! Hang in there for a bit more! I'll be on my way shortly!"He barked in short order while fishing yet another chill orb. "Mn! Didn't used to do this before, but whatever! I'll take it! Frag out!" He muttered to himself before shouting out loud the warning.
With that, another proverbial grenade of frost goes out in a high arc that nearly bashes into the one near Hun, only to narrowly miss and eventually explode near the one attacking Kairus.
Movement(Hun): To FM-47.
Bonus Action(Hun): Command Mr. Thicc to Strike Rhogal's troublemaker.
Action(Hun): Cast Frost Fire Ball on the one focused on Kairus. Con Save(DC 14) or take 5 Cold Damage.
Movement(Mr. Thicc): To FJ-47.
Action(Mr. Thicc): Strike with Disruptor Fist upon Lizard(Targeting Rhogal)! (Melee)Force Rend - Attack: 14 Damage: 10 of Force.
Future Reaction(Mr. Thicc): Deflect Attack on 1st Attack made by a creature targeting an ally.

Yully's reaction: Vengeful Assault
Yulmiath strikes back against one of the lizards that dared have the audacity to try and make him lunch, swinging his greataxe with real venom.
Attack: 8 Damage: 13 plus 4
(OOC Doubt reckless attack or GWM stacks with this and it needs to be aimed at one of the two lizard that landed hits on Yulmiath.)
Yully's turn:
Continuing to swing his greataxe with verve and vigour, he puts a little extra spice into this one, energy collecting within the head of the weapon again before discharging towards any lizard still standing.
Attack: 20 Damage: 20 plus 4
(OOC Running GWM and reckless attack here though! There's also 1 lightning for one of those lizards too!)
Both Hun and Mr. Thicc move around a bit, striking their respective targets afterwards. Hun temporarily freezes a limb of the lizard who is snapping at Kairus, while the construct delivers a solid punch to another lizard. (Giant Lizard#3 takes 5 cold damage; Giant Lizard#8 takes 10 force damage.)
Seeking revenge for being hit, Yulmiath retaliates against the one of the nearby lizards, before bringing his axe around for a second attack. Even though Kairus' encouraging words help guide the first swing, the barbarian misses his target. He redeems himself with the second attack. The new shiny axe claims its first life! (Giant Lizard#4 takes 27 magical slashing and lightning damage and is DEFEATED.)
Needing to give himself a bit more leeway, Rhogal draws upon the power of the spores on his clothing, allowing some mushrooms, molds, and other fruiting bodies to emerge (Symbiotic Entity: Gaining 16 temp HP).
Not only that, some of the spores around him become more potent.
Trying to gauge which of the two critters is most hurt, Krodhen opts for the one closest to Kairus if he can muscle in a little closer (FO45) to target it.
"Need some help K?" he grunts and with a quick gesture, Krodhen pulls the Hunter's Mark onto the creature closest to Kairus (FP46:FQ47) and then stabs his longsword torward it's eyes "Have at ya"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Can use some," did not deny the obvious Kairus, "our future lunch and boots have quite the teeth."
"Don't you, you miserable waste of skin!" In case the lizard did not understand him, Kairus added a threatening gesture. (Vicious Mockery for 1 with DC15 Wis save for save)
In case of a save or the lucky attack later - Silvery Barbs with advantage to himself.
"We are almost done here and will be with you soon!" Promised Kairus to the Dragonborn. (Bardic Inspiration to Yulmiath)
