Eeyal rolls herself on the ground before standing up, a skill that is eventually lost in a tortle's older years. She kept her crossbow nearby, and is already loading a bolt onto it. Without the need to be poked awake, Damu grasps their spear and shouts in excitement: "HUUUUUUUNNT!"

NOTES: Many flying critters are whizzing by the camp. It is hard to pinpoint their location at any given point in time. A search action is needed to spot a viable target before attacking it. The DC for this check is 14. If you succeed, you can "mark" that enemy and it becomes a viable target for your next turns, or bonus action in the same turn. The 'sun' token represents the campfire.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

"Everyone! Form up! And you know what to do, Mr. Thicc. Follow me, then search and Mark a target!"Hun commands as he dug out his shield. He then rushes over to Yully's side, securing his shield with some awkwardness along the way. The kobold's construct is not far behind as it lopes over to stand beside his master. Just as soon as they stop, his eyes light green as it begun scanning the vicinity to point out.
Movement(Hun): To AM-8.
Action: Don Shield.
Bonus Action: Command [Tooltip Not Found] to Search and point out a target. Perception(DC 14): 12.
(Technically, Kairus goes before Hun. Can Hun still benefit from Bardic Inspiration this round?)
Really, he had to cove the camp with the fog, and the party could get at least an hour of peace and quiet! Oh, well, another bloodthirsty parasite of the jungles... "Right behind you, Grandpa! Shows those... whatever who is the boss here!" Kobold probably did not need that kind of encouragement but Kairus wanted him to know he was heard. The triton did not move from his spot and was searching for the aggressor.
Should the critter attack again, Kairus would make a very angry (at least to his ears) piercing trill, hoping to interrupt the attack.
Reaction: Cutting words (As a reaction when a creature (that's not immune to being charmed) you can see within 60 ft. makes an attack roll, ability check, or damage roll, you can expend one use of Bardic Inspiration, roll the die, and subtract the number from the creature's roll. You can do so after the roll but before knowing the result.)
Kairus and Hun jump into action almost simultaneously, encouraging each other (and the group) to do the same. Kairus even laces his words to the kobold with some magical intent, encouraging him even further (Bardic Inspiration).
The bard considers summoning some fog but a flying shadow whizzes by and catches his attention. Kairus keeps his eyes on the creature and is able to follow its movements from now on (unless he chooses to focus on a different creature via another search action.) The triton sees a small snake adorned with green scales and a pair of swift-looking wings. Its fangs are out, showing that the creature is ready to bite at a moment's notice.
After donning his shield, Hun runs closer to Yulmiath and commands Mr. Thicc to follow and keep an eye out for the attackers. Knowing what Kairus is capable of doing by using his words, and understanding the inner-workings of everything arcane, Hun is able to empower his own command to Mr. Thicc with some of the magic the bard had launched his way. Mr. Thicc's neck suddenly snaps to the left and continues moving quite fluidly, clearly accompanying the movement of another snake.
-> Mr. Thicc can now target Flying Snake#2. If Hun can somehow see through Mr. Thicc's eyes, then he can also target this enemy.
Damu is excited about the chance to hunt something, anything, again. They are displaying that lack of appreciation for danger that usually accompanies youth, focusing only on the exciting aspect of the challenge brought upon them. With spear in hand, the young tortle tries to pinpoint a target.
The snakes swoop in to envenom their prey. Their instinct leads them to spread their attacks among as many targets as they can, thrusting their venom to do their work for them.
-> Flyby Bite vs. Rhogal: Attack: 18 Damage: 10 (original rolls: 15 and 11)
-> Flyby Bite vs. Hun: Attack: 24Damage: 11 (original rolls: 14 and 8)

-> Flyby Bite vs. Damu: Attack: 17 Damage: 9 (original rolls: 18 and 6)
-> Flyby Bite vs. Eeyal: Attack: 23 Damage: 8 (original rolls: 17 and 8)
-> Kairus' Cutting Words reaction (applied to damage since even a 6 would still result in a hit): 6 (original roll: 6)
-> Disadvantage roll on attack vs. Hun, as per Mr. Thicc's Deflect Attack reaction: 24 (original roll: 14; attack still misses)
The first attack scrapes against Rhogal and he feels the prick of the fangs. Thankfully, the druid can rely on his Dwarven Resilience to combat the worst effects of the poison. (Rhogal takes 6 poison and piercing damage.)
Two snakes descend on Hun and Mr.Thicc. The construct focus its efforts on deflecting the reptile coming for its master. The snake bounces against the construct's metal arm and flies back up. While Mr. Thicc's own defenses are down, the second snake has its pick of striking points. Thankfully, poison has now effect whatsoever on creatures who lack a circulatory system. (Mr. Thicc takes 1 piercing damage.)
Seeing that the snakes are swooping on everyone, Kairus decides not to wait until after he is bitten to do something about it. The bard trills intensively and, although the noise fails to prevent the eventual bite, the fangs don't sink in deep enough and fail to properly deploy some of their venom (Kairus takes 2 poison and piercing damage.)
Another snake flies by, this one aiming its fangs at Krodhen. The paladin has simply to rely on his armor to frustrate the winged reptile. Damu and Eeyal would have liked to similarly rely on their hard shells, but are both bitten on their respective legs instead. (Damu takes 6 poison and piercing damage; Eeyal takes 8 poison and piercing damage.)
The flying snakes come in for their attack and fly off afterwards in a manner that is too quick for the party members to effectively react by swinging their weapons (no opportunity attacks.)
"Oh, bloody hell....give me the sea any day"he exclaims as the flying snake bangs off his mail, before he loses it in the trees as it flies off and so he backs up to AM8 to bring the group closer together
Yulmiath , Krodhen, and Rhogal all share their personal frustrations with the island and its many vile creatures. They each try to pinpoint a target for eventual retribution, with Krodhen being singled out as the only one who fails to keep track of one of the snakes.
-> Yulmiath can now target Flying Snake#4.
-> Rhogal can now target Flying Snake#7.
Eeyal follows suit, though she does so silently. Perhaps she has gotten used to being disturbed so often by the region's many critters.

MAP:
Due to this encounter's unique quirk, It makes little sense to place enemy tokens on the map. In turn, with no enemy tokens on the map, there is little reason to have a map at all. Hence, we'll be doing this one in a Theater of Mind approach. If you feel the need, refer to the initiative tracker for round 1 to peek at the map, noting that your token's position may have changed since then.
You can help another party member spotting an enemy you have already pinpointed yourself.
Seeing Mr. Thicc unerringly focused on something, Hun barks out a sharp command in draconic, compelling the construct to take off and destroy the creature. "You mean to say that there's more flying menaces? Why is this island so lousy with these things?!"The kobold complained as he strained tired and old eyes for any signs of prey to do the stabby stab against.
Keeping his eyes trained on one of the snakes, Kairus raises his crossbow, accounts for the creature's flight speed and path, and pulls the trigger. Looking at his technique, one might be surprised to hear the triton has been shooting through air (as opposed to water) for only a small fraction of his life. The bolt almost splits the serpent in half. (Flying Snake#1 takes 7 piercing damage and is DEFEATED.)
Noticing that Krodhen has not yet locked his sight on to a target, Kairus sends him a magical good luck message (Bardic Inspiration).
(@Ori: I don't think Mr. Thicc can fly and his rend attack has a melee range, so I'll interpret that attack as the ready action.)
It is Hun's turn to express his frustration. Taking a second or two to make sure Mr. Thicc understands he needs to whack a flying snake if it comes near, the kobold then looks upward himself in hopes of spotting an enemy. He fails to do so for now.
With their own target in sight, Damu launches their spear. Although the throwing technique is quite commendable, the youngling shows their inexperience by sending the spear in an almost vertical arc. Someone might want to tell them that that spear will be coming back down dangerously close to the party.
-> Spear vs. Flying Snake#3: Attack: 22 Damage: 8 (original rolls: 22 and 8)
In what could only have been a lucky strike, Damu's spear cleanly decapitates a passing snake. They scream: "I did it! I hunted something down! I did it! My first kill! You saw it, right? You saw it!" (Flying Snake#3 takes 8 piercing damage and is DEFEATED.)
-> Flyby Bite vs. Yulmiath: Attack: 21 Damage: 11 (original rolls: 24 and 8)
-> Flyby Bite vs. Rhogal: Attack: 21Damage: 8 (original rolls: 9 and 7)

-> Flyby Bite vs. Damu: Attack: 23 Damage: 9 (original rolls: 23 and 7)
-> Kairus' Cutting Words reaction: 6 (original roll: 3; applied to damage.)
Rhogal and Yulmiath each receive another visit from a flying snake. The druid ducks just in time to avoid the swooping reptile, but the dragonborn is not as quick to react. (Yulmiath takes 8 poison and piercing damage.)
Another pair of snakes descend on Hun and Mr.Thicc. The kobold's shield happens to be conveniently placed in such a way that it intercepts the bite aimed at him. The construct is focused on attacking, which opens him up for another tiny bite. Luckily, one of the two nearby snakes happens to be the one Mr. Thicc had clocked, so the robot releases its own attack. Neither the construct or the reptile deliver a fatal blow. (Mr. Thicc takes 1 piercing damage; Flying Snake#2 takes 4 force damage.)
As before, Kairus releases a high-pitched trill to interfere with the serpent's attack. Once again, the triton succeeds only in preventing a full deployment of the attacker's venom rather than the attack itself. (Kairus takes 7 poison and piercing damage.)
(OOC: I rolled two attacks too many, so I am scrapping the last two: the one on Krodhen and the one on Damu.)
