So the current situation is two spiders free on the ground, three more still bound, Zensiro, Cerlinde and a newly un-paralyzed Zithers aloft, Dyumi in a "Schrödinger's Firbolg" state of flux, Malichi and Amelia still in upside-down Dreamland. The tin of restorative ointment is now accessible and has 11 doses remaining. What do each of you choose to do next? I'll run this in rounds like combat, although the spiders have not actually attacked.... yet.
(I will say it will take an entire round's movement to cross to one of the Dreamers and a bonus action to free them from their cocoon, and an entire action to apply the ointment.)

Zensiro suggests, "Perhaps Dyumi and I should start heading down the webbing, while Cerlinde and Zithers continue to free Malichi and Amelia. Hopefully you can use your magic from up here while we fend them off from below. If it all works out, our liberated companions can lend their skills to the fight as they're revived. Or maybe these stubborn beasts will give up and just let us go on our way!"

(If you really want to fire a bow, I'll allow you to use your movement to intertwine your limbs in the lattice of the web, and to attack at disadvantage.)

(If you really want to fire a bow, I'll allow you to use your movement to intertwine your limbs in the lattice of the web, and to attack at disadvantage.)
(That makes sense. I'm not attached to it, as I can still fey step down from the web if things heat up quickly. In the meantime, Zensiro will just descend at whatever safe pace he can muster.)
Malichi walks through the great room past the three gaming tables and chairs upholstered in dark red leather. He turns towards the bedrooms at the other end of the great room. There in the middle of them is a small chapel. The floor is ten by ten feet with a gold statue of the goddess Tymora on a pedestal. The walls and floor are marble as well as two marble benches. Malichi sits on one of the benches and looks up at the statue.
"I don't know if you brought me here to protect me or if I'm trapped here" he tells the golden idol "but I have friends and potential friends who need my help. If there is anything you can do, I would be grateful"
(I think Zithers had the ointment? We can free him first, then use it on Malichi and Amelia.)
Zensiro climbs up quickly, heading for Zithers first. "Cerlinde, that's right, the ointment! I'll hold off on using the last bit of my magic for now." He carefully uses his dagger to liberate the gnome and asks, "Zithers, are you okay? No lasting harm done, I hope! Do you have that ointment on you? Looks like we have an increasingly short fuse on those spiders getting loose." He points down to the ground, where they can see the spiders wriggling feverishly, attempting to free themselves.
after getting out of the webbing, Zithers will scratch at his itchy nose, then turns to Zensiro. "Yes I have the ointment, hopefully no lasting damages, and no I'm not ok I'm still pretty badly damaged, but I can manage for now hopefully."
Zithers will ungracefully scramble over to hand Cerlinde the tin of ointment to apply to our poisoned friend, then turn to the spiders to see what he can do against them as Cerlinde helps out Malichi.
after getting out of the webbing, Zithers will scratch at his itchy nose, then turns to Zensiro. "Yes I have the ointment, hopefully no lasting damages, and no I'm not ok I'm still pretty badly damaged, but I can manage for now hopefully."

Round 1
Dyumi is able to free and heal Amelia, while Cerlinde does the same for Malichi. The band is back together!
S4 uses the help action to assist S5's escape (23)
S2 is about to do the same for S1 when it is absolutely disintegrated from the incoming eldritch blast thanks to Zithers.
S1 continues its struggle alone (19
as does S313.
Zensiro, using his movement plus a dash has made it to the floor, slightly out of breath, but is not able to attack until round 2 (unless he has a bonus action).
Summary: Zensiro on the ground with three un-restrained spiders and one still tied up (S3). The remainder of the party awake, at least partially healed, and more or less in the central area of the web, 50 feet above the floor. Half-speed movement through the web unless you take the kamikaze spider approach.
Nod the snail is in the fetal-snail position on the floor, whimpering, while Chauncey the butterfly impatiently struggles in his cocoon, fighting déjà vu, and wondering what is taking so long?? There are also a few other half-eaten flies and a wasp that have had their wings plucked off by the queen, and are mostly comatose, although they are still emitting the buzzing drone noise.
Zensiro reaches the ground in time to see the four remaining spiders essentially free, while he needs to regain his composure following a hasty descent from the web. He picks out the most threatening looking spider and draws his bow, refocusing his hunter's instincts.

Round 1
Healing: 10
Momentarily dazed, Malichi sees Cerlinde and grins "We have to stop meeting like this" he says to her in a mock conspiratorial tone "Now if you will excuse me dear lady"
Malichi looks to where he was stuck by the queen spider trying to spot his shortbow. He uses the webblng to swing, flip and tumble down quickly but still controlled (bonus action Dash x2 speed rough terrain 1/2 speed, 30 feet) then launches himself in a somersault down the remaining distance to get the rest of the way with as little injury as possible.
Malichi Acrobatics: 17
[OOC Healing had been 12 and Acrobatics was 24 before a spelling edit]
Amelia awakens with a gasp. For a brief moment, she looks almost haunted, but then her gaze hardens back into the uncaring mask. "Thanks," she says to Dyumi. "What'd I miss?"
Cerlinde breathes a sigh of relief that the group is up again.. she considers for an instant freeing the butterfly, but decides it might not be much of a fighter, better to focus on the spiders.
she launches a firebolt down at the most injured spider, or the most threatening looking one if all are whole.
Zithers will use the ointment, (if he can reach wherever it's gone with his movement) and apply it for 7 healing, as he is teetering on the edge of his health.
(remember, the ointment not only cures the poison (and thereby the paralysis) but it also restores 2d8+2 hp)
(oh and I guess if i was woken up with the ointment then i would be getting another 15 healing? Because I don't think I broke free of the paralysis on my own)
Zensiro fires at S1, regretful that it seems to be the only way to cease this this senseless struggle between spider and adventurer. Can't we all just get along?
Longbow - attack vs. S1: 27, damage (piercing): 11 w/Hunter's Mark
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Round 2 (so far)
Having reached the ground, Zensiro and Malichi open fire, wreaking havoc on the hapless arachnids.
S1 enjoys the success of freeing itself from its bond for about 2 seconds before the ranger's cruel arrow sends it to that great web in the sky. (No, not the web above you, the other great web in the sky.)
As the tiefling acrobatically lands, going into a roll, and ends up on his feet holding his shortbow, the arrow he launches strikes its target but is just a bit off center due to all that momentum. S4, wounded by the shaft, turns to charge him but is lit ablaze by Cerlinde's firebolt and quickly expires.
S5 rushes at Zensiro with malice in its multiple eyes, (Attack: 8 Damage: 6 + 6poison, DC 11 CON saving throw for half damage) but the elf nimbly sidesteps and watches it rush on past him.
S3, still bound, flops on its back and ceases to struggle, playing dead and hoping you will all just go away.
Meanwhile up above, Zithers tends to his wounds, Dyumi re-enters his quantum superposition, communing with nature in that special way only a teeny tiny seemingly ancient fey giant can, and Amelia does something brooding and mysterious.
