Viktor turns to Pyra, her word and demeanour draining the energy out of him, he looks sad as he says
"I should not have done that. I am trying to protect these kinds of people and then go and attack them myself"
Viktor rubs his nose before looking directly at Pyra
"do you know what makes a monster? its not how you appear physically or how powerful you are, its what you choose to do with your strength."
"I just used my strength of mind and word, to cut at the hearts of those I have sworn to try and protect. I am ashamed."
Viktor closes his black book and tucks it back into his vest and then slowly stands back up.
"we should go and find them so that I can apologise."
Looking around Viktor hears Ursal and Kyrane's conversation and calls out to them.
"I will find you once I have apologised to the others. I am sorry for my outburst, I hope you can forgive me and that you all won't think too badly of me"
Viktor turns back to Pyra
"do you want to come with me to find Baltus and Soren? or would you like to go with the others?"
(OOC: whatever is decided by the others Viktor will head out to find Baltus and Soren)
"It is alright Viktor. The fact that you realize what you have done and seek to amends tells me good things about you. Let us go to Baltus and Soren. It is good to mend the wound now instead of letting it fester." Pyra give him a reassuring smile, body relaxing into a more natural stance.
Baltus and Soren headed to the boatwright's guild hall, Pyra and Viktor can roll investigation checks to find it on their own or attempt to speak to villagers as they exit the temple. There are several men working on a boat as well as shops on the way.

"You lack faith if you think I am a fool for destroying that...that blasphemy on Aegir's temple," Soren says to Viktor in a hard tone and expression her much larger frame blocking Viktor from entering the guild hall. "Pyra you understand," she adds next.

"I understand Soren, but-" Pyra bits her lip hard, worrying it between her fangs.
" I'm sorry. I can not lie to you. What you destroyed, Soren, might have been a very important clue. It was a teleportation symbol, to where I do not know. If I had some time to study it or another way to trace the magic it might have led us to the culprit, but with it gone now we might have a harder time trying to find them. I am very sorry, Soren. I know you meant no harm and were only trying to do what you thought was right. But, enough of my rambling, I'm sure you don't want to hear it, instead Viktor had something he wished to say. Isnt that right Viktor?"
"I want to apologise for my verbal attack on you both. it is my desire never to abuse my strength on those who don't deserve it, and who may be less able to defend themselves."
"I'm sorry for what I have done, but I must ask you both, are you deliberately trying to sabotage this hunt? first you Baltus, destroying any evidence about the attack last night, and now you Soren destroying the evidence of our enemy before we can fully study it."
"also please understand, I do not think what you both have done, should not have been done. only that you should have waited before doing it. I agree that the symbol was an abomination and sacrilege, but waiting a few minutes more before removing it, would not have made it any worse than it already was. and then we could have done a more detailed study, for more information."
the exhaustion from the night before is showing strong on Viktor's face, he looks wearied by all of this.
"could I ask that you both, in future, not to rush to undo what the enemy may have done, but first allow those you have brought in for help, to have a good look?"
Persuasion to get them to agree to try to be a little less rash: 5 (with disadvantage)
Batlus nods but still looks distrustful of you Viktor as Soren nods along with your words.
"I can speak for the boy but as a warrior of Aegir patients isn't a virtue I have," Soren begins, "I will try my best to consider your...studies in the future but if my God is involved I will handle it," she adds through a stern expression.
"I didn't think it important for my sister to see the only livestock we had left besides the horses slaughtered," Baltus finally speaks up. "That's why I took care of the cow and those overgrown dogs. What do I know about these plots," he then says in a sullen tone. "That snake woman was the first I had ever seen and as for her looking through my mother's belongings I already suggested she might be Dagmar's witch," he adds his tone hard.
"We'll get to the bottom of that soon but now we ask these elders of yours about the state of that temple," Soren says slicing through the hand with her hand and mashing it into her fist. "Are you coming," she then asks both Pyra and Viktor before turning on her heels and jogging up the steps into the guild hall without a second glance at the party.
