Vrah chimes in, "Let's continue on for now and at next rest we can see where we are at and then determine if we want to take a side trip. For all we know the Underdark will determine our direction for us the farther we travel."
Sarith chimes in "I agree. Let's get away from these webs. This passage is fairly wide and open for a good distance. We should be able to put in a few hours travel, then get a good rest. I have patrolled these areas quite a bit. I know of several good, easily defensible camping spots." As has been his usual position, Sarith does not scout out front, but he stays near the front of the pack to give guidance and direction to the scouts.
Jimjar hangs back this time, not as a rear scout, but in the back of the pack. Shuushar and Stool stay in the middle. Derendil stays with them, helping one or both of them over any obstacles. Eldeth chooses to be a rear scout and keep a lookout to make sure nothing is pursuing the party from the direction of the webs.
Fargas will offer to join the forward scouts.
If you want to designate a position in the marching order, please do. At least at the start, these caverns have luminous moss and lichen growing which provide some degree of dim light. Much of the passage has been worn smooth with the passage of water.
Anyone who wants to roll stealth or perception rolls can do so and also you can roll survival checks if anyone wants to do any foraging.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tanis rear scouts in the far back, outside of the light, invisible to both regular vision and darkvision due to Umbral Sight Gloom Stalker feature. Rolling Stealth at advantage, but if someone detecting him has another sense within range (like blindsight), then use first die only. Tanis is watching for enemies and attempting to cover tracks (not foraging). He checks in periodically with Eldeth verbally (but quietly) so the party knows he's still there.

Phodoxia hangs back from the group, not staying quite as far back now as she and Shoowaa had been before. The desperate battles in the webs where the group helped one another have replaced some of the unpleasant fears and distrust engendered by the murder of the derro. And, some of what she overheard about treasure and a tomb falling from the sky does sound interesting and exciting. Especially the part about a possible tunnel to the surface.
She stays close to the other goblin, and, despite not being much of a forager herself, follows the druid's lead to help look for food or other useful items.
You travel on for a few hours. This passageway has primarily been shaped by the stream that trickle through the center of it. It appears that it once flowed with much more volume based on the size of the passageway. It is wide enough for two of you to walk side-by-side, with one on each side of the stream. Although it's a little cramped for some of the larger party members, you feel a bit relieved that you're in a relatively contained space and aren't having to worry about a bunch of side passages or hidden alcoves where danger could lurk. The stone has been largely shaped by water, but there are points where you can tell it has been worked by tools to widen a passage or to build a series of steps to help with a challenging climb.
At one point you pass by a depression where the water from the stream has collected before spilling over the side and continuing down in the direction you are coming from. Here, there is a small patch of fungi growing. Fargas starts to run toward it when he is stopped by Shuushar. The Koa-toa puts out a hand to signal for everyone to stop, then he looks to Stool. The myconid release a puff of spores. Fargas is freaked out by this momentarily until he begins to hear your voices in his mind. It still makes him uncomfortable, but he also finds it fascinating.
Shuushar uses to mind meld to give you a bit of a botany lesson on the fungi here. There are waterorbs that let you replenish your fresh water supplies which were running low. These can also be used for nourishment, although they are very bland. There is a different variety of fire lichen which Shuushar begins collecting to use for spice. He shows you one strange mushroom that looks like a large humanoid tongue growing across the stone. In your minds, you see a scene play out of a Koa-toa eating one of these and then babbling non stop and acting insane. Koa-toa clearly warns you against them, but he takes a small knife and cuts a couple of them loose and puts them carefully in a pouch.
Lastly, he points to a two-foot-tall toadstool with orange and red stripes across its beige cap, calling it "the devil’s mushroom”. Through his visions, you can see that uprooting or destroying one of these causes it to expel a 15-foot-radius cloud of poisonous spores. Creatures in the area must succeed at a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned. While poisoned in this way, the creature is under the effect of a confusion spell with a duration of 1 minute. When the spell effect ends, the poisoned condition also ends.
So you've done well with collecting some safe fresh water, but your food supplies (other than the goodberries) are getting low.
You have a couple of more hours that you think you could get in some travel and put more distance between you and the webs if you want to continue on before looking for a spot for a long rest.
"We should continue along as we can." Vethna speaks up from the front of the group. "Best to continue to put some distance between us and those drow." She is ready to press onward.
"Would preferably find a spot to rest for the night that is out of the way, this is just a plain passageway, easy to defend, but might have too much traffic. Again thank you for your knowledge Shuushar." Vrah thinks as he packs what needs to pack in his backpack and then continues marching with the group in the center.
As you start to tire and begin looking for a place to camp for the night, you come across a very well protected and sheltered small cave off to the side of a larger cavern. Its entrance is partially obscured by a large boulder in front of the opening. You don't see anyone in the cave, but there is a circle of stones that has been used as a fire pit and you see bits of refuse lying around.
Petmailer stops and crouches down, points his finger at Vethna and anyone else up front scouting, sends a message to them, “Watch out, we have company, need to stay in that cave but it may be occupied…”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Vethna shrugs and replies through the message. "We'll keep a guard as usual." She would check the area to see if she can tell how long ago this cave was in use and by who it was used last.
The fire pit is cold and ashes are cold. Some of the refuse - bits of leftover food and such - seem like they have been left recently. You can't tell how long for sure, but no more than 2 or 3 days at most and possibly only 10 to 12 hours ago.
You estimate from tracks in the dirt that maybe as many as 4-5 people have been using the camp.

Tanis agrees with pressing forward and looking for a more obscured resting spot. He tries to pay close attention to Shuushar's mental botany lesson.

Petmailer votes to continue on to get a safer place to rest. He will continue to scout up front.

"It's also wet," Phodoxia comments helpfully, kicking at the little stream. But she's glad to have a full waterskin again.
Vethna shrugs and replies through the message. "We'll keep a guard as usual." She would check the area to see if she can tell how long ago this cave was in use and by who it was used last.
