"Of course, just one more mug, then we can head out," Ghathi says to Sarya. He accompanies her back to Dwalt's place when she's ready, and tries to get a good night's sleep.
The next morning came with a much more relaxed Goodmead, people seemed to be out in the morning following a routine, by the time you woke up some loggers where already back carrying a huge tree trunk. Some residents where fishing but you could see some knucklehead trouts tails coming out of their buckets, many waved at the party though it was hard to hear them say "Good morning!" due to the wind howling.
The sleds where ready at the place of the man who cut you the deal.
Those who rode a sled to Bryn Shander arrived sooner and found two guards stationed at the entrance of a big walled city (eastern gate)
"Heading south? or do you have business here?" - Said sharply a tiefling wearing an armor whith the city's crest: +
"We're heading south eventually, though we'd like to warm up first. And if there's work here we might stay for a bit." Grim responds to the guard, wanting to be honest but not share everything. "We've just come from Good Mead, and you'll likely be happy to know the mead should be flowing again soon."

"We've just come from Good Mead, and you'll likely be happy to know the mead should be flowing again soon."
"Finally some good news! Hey George, these guys say Goodmead will be sending some mead soon" - Says the first guard who wasn't really paying much attention until Mead appeared in the equation, George simply nods " do you know what happened with the mead deliveries? I honestly thought these guys were done for, haven't seen any casks in about five days" says a now very curious and friendly guard.
"There was a couple of verbeegs and an ogre that had killed the Speaker and stolen the mead. We managed to kill the beasts and retrieve most of the mead. They're still electing a new Speaker, but I imagine as soon as they do they'll get the mead shipments back on track," answers Grim.
Tysris stamps his feet in the cold, rubbing his arms and blowing into his hands and does his best to communicate nonverbally. He looks at the sentry and gives a gap toothed grin.
"So, can we enter then, we have walked all the way from Goodmead and it would be nice with some warmth and something to eat and drink. Say, you couldn't recommend a good tavern?" Sarya says to the armored tiefling, pulling down her grey scarf to offer him a friendly smile.

"Wow! you killed a couple of verbeegs and an ogre?" - he tries to look behind Grimm to take an eye on the rest of the party, though there is little to see considering that everyone is wearing heavy winter gear - "that's impressive! I certainly hope they don't sleep on that important decision to make". The guard seems very satisfied knowing these details.

"Well, my favorite place is The Northlook, there's always something going on, great place to know the ins and outs..As a guard is always good to know which fellas might be bringing trouble if you know what I mean...anyhow, good mead, not the best lodging but it is warm for sure" - he continues - "You'll find it near the northern exit, it's impossible to miss"
"Thanks." Sarya says with another smile. "Oh, you wouldn't by any chance happen to know anyone who would be in need of the our monster-slaying services." She adds as she is about to head through the gate and towards the Northlook.
"Thanks." Sarya says with another smile. "Oh, you wouldn't by any chance happen to know anyone who would be in need of the our monster-slaying services." She adds as she is about to head through the gate and towards the Northlook.
"The Northlook gotta be the place to find someone in need or for them to find you, stick around and you'll be approached, the big guy..." - points to Ghathi - "will surely draw some attention."
Ghathi gives a slight shrug, "Oh great. Just what I'm looking for. But I suppose if it gets us some work. Thank you for the tips!" He then follows Sarya.
"As long as it is the right kind of attention, right?" Sarya says with a smile, looking up at the goliath beside her, giving him a friendly pat on the arm. "It will sure be nice to sleep in a bed tonight, and perhaps a hot bath will be available too." She says dreamily as the team make their way to the Northlook. "Do you think they have beds in your size Ghathi?"She asks in a sincere tone.
"Possibly something that will work for a bed. I think you'd be lucky to find a hot bath though. You can probably put that out of your mind while in the Ten Towns area." Ghathi tells Sarya.
Sarya pouts a bit as Ghathi tells her the bad news, walking in silence for a while. "People do wash themselves occasionally in Ten Towns though I hope?"
"Sure" Dwalt pipes in, overhearing Sarya's and Ghathi's conversation. "There is a nice cold spring here about that folk bath in I bet. Or even better, an ice cold water fall ta shower in." Dwalt chuckles when he says the last.
Dwalt walks on for a moment, heading to the Northlook. "There's women folk about." he says. "I am sure that there are baths somewhere. If there weren't all a woman had ta do was bat her eyelashes and 3 men would kill each other tryin' ta make her one." Dwalt says mirthfully.
As the party walks along Dwalt ponders a moment then asks. "So, we're in tha monster slayin' business eh?" he strokes his beard as he says it. "There's alot of monsters in tha world, what type of monsters are ya actually lookin' ta slay fer folks?" he asks.
"The type that troubles the people of Ten Towns I guess." Sarya says with a shrug. "I wouldn't consider going monster slaying for the fun of it but I have to earn a living somehow, and unlike Ghathi and you I don't really have a proper trade to fall back on." She adds with a weak smile, shrugging again. "I thought you came with us for some monster slaying though, or what did you have in mind Dwalt?"
Dwalt shrugs his shoulders at Sarya's question. "No plan or anythin' in particular." he says. "I figure there is a reason fer me being here an' thrown in with ya, I just have ta see where that leads."
Dwalt says the last as a matter of fact rather than assumption. As he walks Dwalt runs his hand through his hair, pulls his hand out and takes a swift sniff. "I think I could use a bath myself." he says laughing.
Tysris pantomimes taking a whiff of his armpits and says “I could too, that’s for sure.” He pauses, considering their conversation, “Perhaps they have problem or mystery to be solved here. I like that idea a hellova lot better than being a mead fetcher and messenger boy. I’m gonna stay with you guys and seen what happens.”

Due to not relishing the walk, Darby will do his best to ride on the sled, simply using his small size to take up as little room as he can.
