In response to Egan, Lilgrea says "I don't know - what do you think is causing it? I suppose I could try to Shatter on the area, perhaps that might work?" Addressing the rest of the group, "Has anyone ever come across this sort of thing before? Perhaps one of us (which'll probably mean me( should just go into the cloud for a few seconds, and see if we can find anything."
Lan emerges from his hiding place and staggers over to Justin. He is obviously hurting, a lot. "Are they all gone? Is it safe now (looking anxiously at the cloud)?"
(I'm assuming Rizo is still concentrating on the Detect poison spell. if not he'd suggest to recast it as ritual.)
As soon as the thug goes down, Rizo hurries to Minty to heal him by 16, casting Cure Wounds at 2nd level and saying, "Sorry that it took so long. I hope you're better now." Then, he gathers with the party to assess the poison cloud, "I'll gather that the source of it is in the middle, so I think we need to get in and find out what it is and figure out a way to shut it down. At the very least I want to collect my things that are still in there. Not to mention our load of roots that we mean to deliver back to Dolsela." He will circle around the cloud, "I'm going in there," and, holding his breath, he tries to go straight to where he believes is the source but being cautious about the fire pit that must be somewhere near there, too.
CON save: 9
In the cloud he will, search for the source, assisted by his heightened sense for detecting poison and disease.
Perception: 17

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Entering the cloud, Rizo tries to withstand the poisonous smoke, but it's too much this time, and he can't help but to inhale some, taking 1 poison damage.
Rather than perception, can you roll investigation please (with Advantage because of your heightened sense) (the adventure guide stipulates investigation, so I should probably stick with it, though I appreciate I've already deviated from it a bit!).
Lan thanks Justin effusively for the healing, quickly going from near dead to functional (he was down to just 1 HP!).

Feeling around for the source of the poison, you come across a small broken box, together with what feels like a mushroom. You can feel that the mushroom is producing the poisonous smoke cloud, your hand feels sticky with the concentrated smoke coming out of it.
On each of your turns in the cloud, you'll need to make a con save.
Trying to reduce intake of the poisonous air, Rizo replies short "Found it!" and coughs, "Moment!". He takes out his shirt and wraps it around the mushroom, hoping to stop it from discharging more smoke. He will try not to damage the mushroom but should it be futile and the wrapping inflates with smoke, he will throw it in the fire if it is still there or, if not, stomps on it.

You manage to avoid taking in the smoke too deeply, so avoid any damage this turn. Wrapping it in your shirt does not change it - you feel it still producing smoke as your shirt inflates. Remembering that annoyingly no-one had a chance to light the fire, you instead throw your shirt to the floor, and stamp furiously on it, smashing the mushroom and covering your shirt in dirt. Straight-away, you see a slight thinning of the smoke where your shirt is - you can tell that it'll take a while for the smoke cloud to fully disperse though, it's still poisonous, it's still thick, and you're still in it!
Satisfied by having removed the source of the poison Rizo tries to grab his shield on his way out of the cloud. Once outside he breathes deeply and explains that he believes that the source of the cloud is destroyed. “I think the bandits may have thrown a poisonous mushroom in a container at us, hoping to take us out without a fight.”
(Another save?)

Good; from outside the cloud, you can all see the cloud is slowly fading. It's hard to be sure how long it'll take to fully disperse, but at the rate it's going at the moment, it'll probably be another 9 minutes you suspect.
Does anyone else want to do anything in this area before I roll for time to next adventure?
Rizo tries to speed up the dispersion by waving his shield up and down.

Egan just covers his mouth and motions for the others to stay back. He was unhurt, but he doesn’t want anyone else who was wounded to approach the poison.
The smoke clears pretty quickly, leaving behind a sticky residue on items.
Fearing the residue may be poisonous, Lilgrea tentatively touches her backpack to see if there is any reacrion. Not feeling anything, she picks it up and turns to the group saying “This fprest is lethal! I say we should get back to the inn for some decent food and ale. Who’s with me?”
"Perhaps we can finish a short rest before we leave towards Dolsela?" Rizo suggests. "Lan looks like he could use a moment to catch his breath. But I agree this forest is packed with surprises, and not the kind ones. " When the smoke has settled, Rizo prepares his pack and stores the roots in his backpack, "I guess I'll have to remove that poison later, wouldn't serve to get it into the ale. Now, what should I do with this?" He inspects his shirt with the destroyed mushroom inside. "Maybe best I also take a look at that back in town," and he packs it, too.

Egan’s shoulders sag as the tension drains from him. He glances at the cloud, then turns to Lilgrea.
“Have you got any magic that can deal with that? Unfortunately, that fight took a lot out of me. My spells are almost tapped out.”
Corvina flutters down to Egan’s shoulder. “Tapped out!”
Maybe we can fire arrows, bolts, javalins at the centre of the cloud until we hit something?
Justin looks around a bit.
Lan? Are you ok?
