Lilgrea's blast hits the thug, striking him in his arm which he grabs at in pain as it briefly momentarily glows purple. Next up is the Thug.
Realising how suddenly dangerous the situation has become to him, he decides his best chance of getting out of here alive is bargaining. He grabs at Justin, trying to grapple him. If he can take a hostage, perhaps there's still a chance for him to get away from here with his life. Thug Strength check: 15
Justin - can you roll either an Athletics or Acrobatics check (your choice).
If he is successful in the grapple attempt, he'll shout out loudly, "Let me escape with my life, or your pal here gets it", and pulls a dagger to Justin's throat. If he fails, then he'll instead try to run north, which would trigger an attack of opportunity for Justin (in which case, can you roll an attack roll please).
Once we know which way the Justin situation goes, we'll continue with initiative, with Rizo being next in order.
Rizo gulped at the sight of Justin taking hostage. He records that Justin attempts to transmit confidence but he is blocked by doubt. Should he send in the spirit to teleport him out? But certainly the Thug would interpret that as aggression, and right he would be. Should Rizo just have confidence in Justin's ability to get out of that tight spot? Maybe the best option is to let go the bandit. If he keeps his word and he releases Justin, it would be the best for everyone involved. "You attacked us, remember? We have no use for your life! You may leave if you release him. And pray that we do not meet again." With this he vanquishes the magical flames that engulf his club (ending Shillelagh) in an effort to convey peacefully that he will not object to the Thug leaving.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
I don't really know how threatening this situation is for Justin, so Rizo tries to de-escalate and not provoke the Thug. So he doesn't move and don't know what he could ready (can't ready bonus actions to command the spirit, sadly).

(Reading a bit more, while I cannot ready to give a command to the spirit, apparently I can command the spirit to ready an action.)
So, Rizo could add (as bonus action if it isn't too late for that), "Jasmine! Should this thug move one bit without releasing Justin, get Justin out and reduce the thug to embers!" (meaning run in and teleport out with Justin.)

That's not going to work unfortunately - dropping Shillelagh is a bonus action, so you don't now have the bonus to command the spirit, sorry! You do, however, still have your own movement and action if you want.

Ok, sorry, I didn't know that. I thought I can just stop the effect at will. Well, in this case, Rizo will wait and see. The next action he wants to heal Minty but right now he doesn't feel like turning a blind eye on Justin is a good idea.

Ok, so Justin is up I guess. <for the way this going, I'm gonna let go of RAW> Justin, with disregard for own safety, turns in the grasp of the Thug and swings his Warhammer.
<ROC Thug gets an auto crit bc he has a blade on his throat, of that's ok>
Attack: 22 Damage: 6
If it hits, Divine Smite: 12
And maybe bonus action and movement depending on what happens.
I think you hit him. I don’t know how the blade at your throat affects the situation.
That's the ROC part, cause in real life he would have taken serious damage. If we play RAW I think it stil counts as the Thug holding its action?
I thought the Thug was using a ready action with some trigger that we just don't know. If that is the case, he would be able to use his reaction before whatever triggers it. At least that is my understanding how it would work for the player and I guess it is reversible.

That was my thinking - the Thug had the action of using his knife if anyone did anything hostile to him. So...
Justin tries to swing his warhammer at the thug, trying to get away. Seeing the warhammer coming at him, the Thug (using the ROC you asked for!) cuts across Justin's throat for 4 damage. The warhammer slams into the Thugs knee, causing his leg to buckle and he cries out in pain, losing his grip on Justin. As soon as the warhammer hits, it glows with radiant energy. You see the energy move like lightening through the hammer, into the knee, up his leg, finally reaching for his chest, causing an intense glow to emanate from his heart area. The Thug drops to the ground, no longer breathing.
The Thug is no more, we are victorious! Well, except for the big, green, poisonous smoke cloud. What're we going to do about that? I see no reason to continue with initiative at this point. Are we going to leave the smoke cloud where it is, ready for some poor fool to wander into, or are we going to try to do something about it?

I think your spirit is still around, apparently it manifests for 1 hour (unless it drops to 0 HP)

OK, so next up is Minty
Minty will say nothing, but hold his action to fire at the Thug if he attempts to harm Justin or any of his other allies.
