Sorry, if I give unsolicited advice, but I think - to avoid character death which some might consider the normal outcome - you could narrate how the thug keeps you prisoner and you manage to escape after some time. Clearly, you wouldn't get any treasures and probably lose everything of monetary value, but you would learn something, I guess. Perhaps, our DM can chime in if you sent him a private message but it could also be considered fair that you, as your own DM make the calls. A fair trade off to avoid character death and escape imprisonment could be a roll on the lingering injury table? Just my two cent, feel free to ignore.
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.

Sorry, that the group broke up.
Hmm. Maybe another adventurer could save me. After all, two thirds of the party suddenly disappeared. A new adventurer, or one of the old ones, could finish the expedition with me, for half the treasure.

One minute passed after the Thug leader gather up his two [Tooltip Not Found]. They are moving back to the hideout in the woods.
A flash of lighting strike, and the trees around the Thug leaader is burst into flames. The wildfire begins to spread. The flames occupy a position about 20 feet away from thr Thug leader.
Fire 🔥 --- 20 feet --- Thug and large pile of treasure -- 10 feet --- Bandit carrying small pile of valuables and Gorden ---- 80 feet --- Redoff
Initiaitve of Fire 20
Redoff 14
Thug 1
Bandit A 20
Bandit B 20
The fire spreads to 5 feet to all directions. It is now 15 feet from the Thug leader.
(OOC: Dragon Heir please decide the actions of the Thugs and bandits)
Each turn, it spreads to each flammable material within 5 feet of it. A creature who enters the flames for the first time or ends their turn there takes 1d6 fire damage. The flames can be put out by 1 gallon of water for each 5 feet square it occupies. (5-10) The flames deal 2d6 damage. (11-20) the flames deal 4d6 damage and spread to every flammable object within 10 feet.
I've killed both bandits, so the thug is probably carrying me and my treasure as well. In addition, I need initiative: 12

All the sudden flash of lighting and the burning bush puzzles Redoff ''Better stay of trouble and not anger whoever caused this fire.'' He stands on the edge of the slope, reaching out both of his hands, palms out. Redoff yelled in his most sincere and emotional tone, he says aloud in Elvish.
''Oh i beleg owner -o hi dór, im foeg baw harm a im tul- baw evil. Im am just a adan plural edain far o bar. Im am ú- thand -o hi murder a thief. ''
Oh the mighty owner of this land, I mean no harm and I bring no evil. I am just a man far from home. I am not part of this murder and thief.
Those who understands Elvish understand the meaning.
Maybe because Redoff stands up and high, maybe becuase he appears an emotional shouting so timely that appears to be part of the spells, or maybe because Redoff looks like a typical sorcerer, with pale and white with pointy ears. The Thug is afraid of this firery mage is about to shoot a fireball to him.
(Initimation, with advantage 20, he may try to run away, beg of mercy or anything else you thing can bring more fun!) (OOC: you can roleplayer the Thug's action in his turn, or just type his response.)
(Perception check for Redoff to see the what the Thug is carrying 11. Please also describe your if Redoff sees anything special on your character.)
Gordon is wearing chain mail, which has runes in giant. You can tell this only by the fact that they are glowing softly. Gordon will roll a 5 for death save.

The thug will run towards you (away from the fire) while shouting, "Don't kill me, mighty sorcerer! Dispel your fire!" Your turn, Redoff.
*I may have been the one who started the fire. I use fire magic runes earlier.*

Fire 🔥 --- 10 feet --- Gorden and small bit of treasure --- 30 feet --- Thug and big pile of valuables ---- 50 feet --- Redoff
Redoff turn. He moves up 30 feet and shoot from his hand crossbow. Attack: 12 Damage: 8 . He aims for the shoulder.
Fire 🔥 --- 10 feet --- Gorden and small bit of treasure --- 30 feet --- Thug and big pile of valuables ---- 20 feet --- Redoff
(How many money pockets do Gorden carries? And please spill the treasure to 1/3 small pile and 2/3 large pile)
You have killed the thug. Gordon only carries 20 - 25 gp at a time, but has a pretty expensive (over 100 gp) set of gear, as well as a bag of holding and a potion of frost giant strength.
I see 14 and 16 for the two checks. Please post Gorden death save and Thug's action.
Don't worry, Gorden will be fine, but may not get all the treasures along, I think that's actually better for the chacter to grow and develops.
