Eline, noticing the sorrow radiating from Trem, rests a comforting hand on his arm. She wants to say something, comfort him, or somehow lift his downcast spirits. She knows, like the unspoken knowledge here in this chamber, that Hulil, like her sister, was at death's door...
Roxaria stays behind Trem and Eline, mixing company with Kha, Reginald and Vauthok. She silently watches with mixed curiosity and a some skeptism at how this is going to play out. She promised Trem she would trust him on this. She does her best to listen with an open mind, but something about Hulil and everything up to this point seems off to Roxaria. She shifts her weight every so often, her arms crossed as she observes…listening to the conversation.
Hulil reads the letter and she tears up. She then folds up the letter and puts it in her pocket. "I will tell you what I know. This disease is called the Frigid Woe and I don't know much beyond the symptoms. There are some rumors that explorers in Eiselcross sometimes succumb to it. I came down with this affliction due to 2 blue vials stolen by my sister. I sold 1 of the vials to Irven Liel, a human merchant staying at the Jolly Dwarf inn in Palebank Village while traveling with his family to Uthodurn. I needed the money to travel to Shady Creek Run."
"Its in this chest and its yours. That is all I know and its time I leave this place" Hulil taps the large chest and shakily gets up with the help of the elf next to her and makes her way to the lake.
Eline instinctively reaches down and grips Trem's hand in her own, interlocking her fingers with his, trying to comfort the elf. She keeps silent, keeping her gaze locked between Trem and the ailing dwarf.
"I will be at my sister's cabin. I need to make some arrangements" With that she is gone onto the massive Ice frogs back and heading towards Palebank Village.
Roxaria shamefully looks away upon listening to Hulil’s remarks. She pulls her arms tighter across her chest going from skepticism to guilt and humiliation. She immediately looks down at the ground and tightens her lips.
How could I have been so closed-minded and naive! Hulil is not the type of criminal I thought! Roxaria thinks to herself.
She gives Hulil a wide berth as she makes her way past. Roxaria waits until Hulil is out of sight before speaking out, her voice soft and resigned. “I am such a jerk to you. I went full-blown conspiracy on you.”
She sighs, reflecting on her past behavior and how she remarked her negative viewpoint about all theives. “Where to now, Trem.”
... this looks like a Mage Hand situation... a far away Mage Hand situation...
Eline smiles. "You got it! We'll keep our distance from this, and I'll carry it with my Mage Hand."
Weaving her hand in the air, she conjures the invisible hand, and prepares it to carry the deadly vial. Letting go of Trem--reluctantly so, Eline turns to Roxaria, Vauthok, Kha, and Reginald. "Reginald, would you be willing to help me with carrying this thing? Maybe switching off carrying it with our Mage Hands every so often."
"I need to touch an object physically to identify it, so no... But give me a moment to check for magic and then we can open the chest from a distance easy." (OOC ritual cast detect magic and cantrip mage hand from 30' away)
Hulil looks saddened "Do you have a letter or anything from my sister?"
Trem wordlessly nods and takes the letter he hid under his clothes. A small tear wells up in his left eye as he hands the letter to Hulil.

Trem tries to contain his emotions. He flinches at the mention of Shady Creek though.
What about the other one?

Finding comfort in Eline's touch Trem turns to Hulil:
We're going to find a cure, Hulil! Where can we find you if we do?

Well... who wants to check out the deadly blue vial?

Eline looks up at Trem.
"When."
"When we find a cure."
You're right! Eline, you're right!

As she watches the Dwarven woman leave, Eline gets a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach that this may be the last time Trem will see Hulil.
She squeezes his hand knowingly.

"Oh," she says, a warning tone to her voice, "and whatever we do, we cannot physically touch this thing. Just be careful guys."
Eline notices Roxi's morose mood, and approaching the elven woman, rests a reassuring hand on the warrior's shoulder.
Trem is deep in thought, he barely hears Eline, tries to focus on Eline and deadly blue vials cross his mind.
Reginald, can you do your Identify thingy with Mage Hand?

Cats go Moo!
Reginald senses that the chest radiates evocation magic. What would you like to do with the mage hand?
