"The Horned King will smite you all for this, Temuth-Spawn. He's mightier than all of you, than all of this pitiful place." The hag is breathing heavily and holding her side, but she raises her clawed finger and traces a sigil in the air. A wave of green light strikes Crannoc.
Crannoc CHA Save including both1d4 from Bless and 2d4 from Divine Soul Sorcerer Favored by the Gods (once per short rest):
14 + 2 from Bless + 5 from Favored by the Gods = 21
Crannoc, bruised and battered, resists, leaning not just on Temuth's blessing, but deep within himself for a divine spark. One he inherited from is aasimar father. The sycamore seedling settles on his forehead and strobes once with an uncharacteristic brilliant white light. Crannoc gasps.
On the first attack that does (assuming one does) Miesha will burn her last first level spell for a Divine Smite causing another 6 damage. An additional 7 if the hag is undead or a fiend…
On the Second attack that does (assuming one does) Miesha will burn her last second level spell for a Divine Smite causing another 11 damage. An additional 6 if the hag is undead or a fiend…
If the Bonus Action attack hits, Miesha uses her Crusher Feat to push the hag 5 feet further away from Maggwyn and the hags bag…
Miesha stabs twice, each time radiant light searing the fiend’s flesh. With a howl after the second strike the hag is practically incinerated.
The only visible thing left in this room is the hag’s bag.
Just as you are regaining your breath after the chase and fight, you hear a rumbling in the earth around you. You see the ends of roots wheedling their way through the walls, but clumps of dirt begin to tumble from the ceiling.
Crannoc - You feel an intense warmth as the sickness that you’ve felt in this place is entirely replaced. You feel nature’s embrace again, which is welcome, but you also see that as these tunnels are reclaimed by the forest they are also being brought down with you in them.
Everyone - You see three exits from this room, two from the direction you came from and one from the opposite direction. The later is at a much steeper incline.
Despite his wounds, Crannoc suddenly looks much stronger. Filled with vitality. Whole.
"Well struck Miesha and well fought everyone! Maggwyn, you have the bag - well done. Temuth's wild power reclaims this place now and I cannot slow it, so we must make the surface. I say we choose the steeper climb on the opposite side." He takes his rope and loops around himself, letting out some slack as he trots towards the far exit. "Should we quickly connect and tie off as mountain climbers would in case one of us becomes buried?"
Crannoc maintains concentration on Bless while he still can, though he is ready to switch to Guidance as needed.
The hag said her King is the Horned Lord... no time to think about that just yet...
"You don't have to tell me twice!" Jasper bolts for the steeper incline, ignoring Crannoc suggestion of tying together.
Speed = 50ft Dash = 50ft Feline Agility = if not used to reach the hag at the start of this last encounter with her, double everything for another 100ft (has climbing speed equal to walking speed) If needed, Bonus Action Misty Step to reach top, avoid danger, skip the hardest part of the climb, etc.
Jasper quickly scales the steep tunnel and is gone from view.
The other three party members, tied together and in possession of the hag's bag begin their climb. All three of you make an Athletic check (DC 15).
Jasper - As you surface from the tunnel you find yourself a slight distance away from where you entered. You see many trees growing in vibrant green leaves and the ground is shifting as tunnels are being crushed beneath you.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Once she know's they'll be climbing, Miesha uses a Bonus Action to Channel Divinity to become a Peerless Athlete for her own sake but also in case she has to drag or carry any of the others through...
As a bonus action, you can use your Channel Divinity to augment your athleticism. For the next 10 minutes, you have advantage on Strength (Athletics) and Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks; you can carry, push, drag, and lift twice as much weight as normal; and the distance of your long and high jumps increases by 10 feet (this extra distance costs movement as normal).
Crannoc tries to follow the urging of the athletic bronze warrior behind him, but finds his legs turning to water with exhaustion. His body seems to almost resist escape as if the return of Temuth's wild domain is folding him inside its embrace as the living earth rushes back. He has never been the strongest...
At the last moment, while he still sees the tunnel open ahead of and above him, knowing he is not going to make it any other way, Crannoc tries to Misty Step ahead and up using his Fey Touched feat. But the spell only teleports him 30' and to a place he can see, hopefully further up the rope. If visibility to that point is already cut off, there is nothing he can do but hope Miesha can drag him (and Maggwyn) to the surface.
Jasper managed to make it up with the assistance of a Misty Step and his Feline Agility. If he throws down a rope that would compensate for one failure, and if Crannoc cast Misty Step that would compensate for the other. With all of that done, the whole party could make it safely to the surface.
Jasper scampers to the top of the hole as fast as possible and then immediately pulls a rope from his pack and tosses half down the hole while he uses the slack from the other end to wrap it around a tree a few times then tie a knot. He looks around him to decide whether the above group terrain in safe or if that too could suck them down in the cavern collapse.
His resources exhausted, once he reaches safety and sees that his companions have as well and do not urgently need immediate healing, Crannoc collapses. He is not unconscious, but utterly spent. Back flat on the ground and fingers digging gently into the loamy earth, brown eyes staring wide at the sky. The sycamore seedling sits on his chest, rising and falling serenely with each breath.
For a brief moment, he feels at peace. In this one small place, the wounds to Temuth's domain have been healed. The greater threats. The Horned Lord, whoever he is, would have to wait. He smiles at Miesha, Maggwyn and Jasper.
