"Well that's not creepy at all." Ula picks up the doll and shows it to the others. They'll take a closer look at the doll, seeing if there's anything strange about it besides the fact that it was invisible. They'll also poke and prod to see if it feels like anything is hidden inside. [Investigation: 15]
Ula will gingerly set the doll down on the table, not wanting to hold it for any longer than is necessary. They'll then turn back to Imra, continuing their discussion. "We could probably still find some open shops tonight. I don't think the letter should leave this suite, though. Maybe two people can head to the shops, and then at least two people should be awake up here with the letter while Douglas sleeps." They think for a moment and then add, "Someone else might want to get some rest in now, too, so they can be up for the night watch with Douglas. What do you think?"
While Ula is investigating the doll some random word they say triggers it. Everyone in the room hears the doll talking with Ula's voice saying "envelope in that it'll be harder for other people to use magic to find it."
As the clocktower strikes 5 the Dragon is at about 75% capacity. All five of the gaming booths are set up. Two of the private rooms have been rented (including the one you have for the day, that's three of the four. The card game being run by the silver Dragonborn is drawing an audience. The two empty booth now boast a card game and dice game respectively. All three lanes are occupied, one by the two axe throwing dwarves, who've been joined by a Gnome. The other two lanes have been taken over by a group, divided into two teams of five, each team taking a lane in a daggers competition. Brawls breaking out are quickly quelled by a stern look from Theran. Early dinner is being served. Everyone here seems friendly and approachable. They all seem to be here to spend time with friends and make new ones. After watching the dice game for the past couple of hours, Dyumi is starting to get a good feel for how it's played.
“Oh, now that is interesting,” Flint remarks after the doll is found in the room and mimics back Ula's voice. “Put there to watch over us by our employer, or by someone who wants to get whatever it is we are guarding away from us? Either way, maybe we should just get rid of it.”
Flint takes his stack of gold and adds it to his pouch, It will make good table stakes. “I’ve no need for shopping, so I will take a turn at watch. Either up here, or down on the main floor to get a better sense of what is going on.”
"Okay, so it's extra creepy." Ula regards the doll with distaste. "And definitely suspicious. I wonder if any of the magic-types in our party can investigate it more closely to see if it's somehow sending the recordings to someone else. Maybe it could be useful somehow, but honestly I'm more in favor of just destroying it."
Ula looks around the room and considers the time of day. It's getting later, but they feel restless not doing anything besides sitting in this room. "I suppose you can stay here on watch, Flint. And I'll head to the shops to see if I can find the things we're looking for." Ula pulls out the envelope and hands it to Flint. "You can hold on to...this." They grimace, trying to avoid saying the word 'envelope' aloud. "Imra, would you rather stay here to help keep watch or go on a quick shopping trip?"
(It appears that Imra, Douglas and Ula are in the suite while Asledin, Flint and Dyumi and downstairs, Soriah seems lost in the crowd. Let me know if you'er not where I think you are)
As the clocktower strikes 6 in the evening the Dragon goes into full swing. At one dice table they're playing 17 and at the other they're playing Troll chase. (Flint is still in the upstairs room)
Flint takes the envelope with visible reluctance. “I don’t know that I am the best one to be holding onto this, but I will take it for now.” Maybe he can pass it off to Douglas when he awakes, wizards are better at this sort of thing. He thinks. Regardless, he stuffs it into his clothes and armor, hiding it away and putting it close to his body. (does he feel anything when holding the letter?)
Flint spends some time investigating the suite of rooms, looking for suitable hiding places for the letter, or for decoy letters, in case they no longer want to hold it on their person. Investigation: 16.
After he completes his search of the rooms, he sits down on a chair where he can watch both the window and the door. He hears the reverie coming from the main floor below, but even he is not foolish enough to take the letter down to the crowd. Instead, with his maul resting on the floor he folds his hands over the handle and waits and watches. Stupid letter, stupid job, he mutters to himself.
Asledin begins to look around, in earnest, for the wench that took his order.
Perception: 16
The wench who took your order was the owner Theran and the one who served you earlier was Danica. Theran is behind the bar (significant crowd around) serving drinks along with the bartender, a Half-Orc. Danica is waiting tables, as are two other waitstaff.

In the watercloset under the sink you find a loose floor board that you can pull up. Under the floor there is a 3" space to run pipes.
There's a lot going on all at once altho much of the Dragon's patronage gets drawn to the front with the door open where someone is calling down from above and bets are being made. As it gets dark outside there's a sudden commotion, laughing, cheering and wagers being paid. Two of the long tables have been pulled together, A man and woman are standing on the tables leading toasts while one of the serving wenches yells at them to "GET DOWN!". Theran breaks up several more brawls and a game of Dwarven Poker is starting, and looking for players.
Dyumi decides to try his hand at a round of Dwarven poker.

If there's still enough time that any shops would reasonably be open, Ula will try to head out for a quick attempt to gather some supplies. (If it's too late in the day, they'll wait for morning.) They will try to recruit one other party member to go with them, and also to make sure that there are two people awake and on watch upstairs. As they pass through the boisterous crowds down in the tavern area, they'll make one more attempt to scan for anyone behaving particularly suspiciously. [Perception: 22]
If Ula can catch the attention of any of the staff for a moment, they'll ask for a recommendation and directions for any shop that might be open and would carry the things they're looking for. They'll offer 5 silver as thanks for the info.

There is someone who catches your attention. It was one of Theran's new hires, the young Half-Orc male. You can't quite put your finger on it. You notice a change in his expression when someone is talking to him. Then he catches you watching him and he immediately acts like he didn't. You manage to get Danica's attention "There are 2 good outfitters, about 3 streets from here over in The Crafts. Not sure if they're open past sundown.
