Quin lowers himself from his perch in the tree. Approaching the others he checks on Razaniel.
Is he okay?"
Looking at Boil and Yoli he says, "I would agree with assessment. Would appear that those wolves were a welcoming party. Probably should move as soon as we can in case whoever sent them sends something bigger. Can anybody track where they came from?"
if Razaniel is stable and awake Boil will begin laughing to himself and say, “ you should have seen that wolf’s expression when I hit him with a dose of skunk stink gas…he just gave up the ghost rather than endure that horrid smell any longer, heh heh.”

IC: Abel looks down at the slowly stirring Razaniel and shakes his head in response to Kwami's question: "I'm afraid that my nature magic is depleted as well, for the moment. Luckily, your intervention and his own resilience seem to be enough to prevent a worse outcome. His wounds will need more tending though, from the looks of it. Perhaps once we are rested we can get him back up to fighting strength."
OOC: I think I was under a mistaken idea that I could help with Spare the Dying, but I see now that there's no ability check or anything.
IC: Abel rises and paces around the outer perimeter of the clearing, seeking signs of tracks and some indication of the direction from which the wolves had approached them: Survival:18
[Abel follows his own tracks in circles around the clearing and steps in wolf droppings for his trouble!]

OOC: Yeah, but I mean I was mistaken in thinking that I could the Help action to give Kwami advantage in his use of Spare the Dying. I didn't understand that there was no check for him to make in order to cast it successfully.
Now that Razaniel is stable, Kwami will say, "He needs rest. We all do. We need to find a defensible camp and set up watches, to recover our strength, and then in the morning figure out where we are and what is going on."
” perhaps we should construct a lean-to shelter for some partial protection while recovering, or we could build a travois so we can transport Mr Razniel and then we can move to find a more secure location?”
Kwami nods at Boil, "The lean-to is a good idea, although I think closer to the road might make escape easier should we need to run for it. And since the wolves.. or whatever they are... already know where we are, you can summon another bonfire for warmth and to hopefully scare away smaller predators."
Does the group plan on taking a short or long rest? If a short rest, 1 hit die plus CON bonus of HP returns. If a long rest (assuming uninterrupted), all HP returns.
Take a couple posts back and forth with each other to decide your next plan, and then someone summarize that plan, please. If you have any questions about the area, just let me know.
From the PHB:
Short Rest
A short rest is a period of downtime, at least 1 hour long, during which a character does nothing more strenuous than eating, drinking, reading, and tending to wounds.
A character can spend one or more Hit Dice at the end of a short rest, up to the character’s maximum number of Hit Dice, which is equal to the character’s level. For each Hit Die spent in this way, the player rolls the die and adds the character’s Constitution modifier to it. The character regains hit points equal to the total (minimum of 0). The player can decide to spend an additional Hit Die after each roll. A character regains some spent Hit Dice upon finishing a long rest, as explained below.
Long Rest
A long rest is a period of extended downtime, at least 8 hours long, during which a character sleeps for at least 6 hours and performs no more than 2 hours of light activity, such as reading, talking, eating, or standing watch. If the rest is interrupted by a period of strenuous activity — at least 1 hour of walking, fighting, casting spells, or similar adventuring activity — the characters must begin the rest again to gain any benefit from it.
At the end of a long rest, a character regains all lost hit points. The character also regains spent Hit Dice, up to a number of dice equal to half of the character's total number of them (minimum of one die). For example, if a character has eight Hit Dice, he or she can regain four spent Hit Dice upon finishing a long rest.
A character can't benefit from more than one long rest in a 24-hour period, and a character must have at least 1 hit point at the start of the rest to gain its benefits.
DM, does Yoli's perception check from after the fight count? He was specifically looking for signs of Scat, who was close enough to be heard 12 seconds earlier. Once the detect magic ritual is complete 11 minutes after the fight, does Yoli detect any magic?

Beyond pine trees what is the terrain like. Is it rocky, hills or mountains in the distance, could there be caves about? I'll role acrobatics if you want but he'll just keep trying till he makes it.
