This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Two half orcs hold the woman on the filthy cold ground by the arms. Despite the weather, her legs are bare save for fishnet sticking and a pair of uncomfortable looking boots with red soles. Her fur coat is b spattered with blood when, after biting the elf stuffing the gag in her mouth, he punches her in the face, knocking her out. A tooth chatters to a stop on the wet cobblestone street.
"Looks like we got so e comp'ny" says half orc 1.; "Get 'em," demands the elf. His comrades rise, revealing thst all three wear a sharks tooth hung by a leather cord from each of their necks. They wear salty patchwork rags, their faces besmirched with the great and dirt of six ten-day of poor hygiene.
The roughians, seeing a man transform into a very large lizard shooting fire are obviously taken aback. "What in the Nine Hells?!" shouts one half-orc, moments before the other screams in agony as he is immolated by the flames of Sam's spell. He slaps at the flames, which give way to the dampness of the salty air*.
"His carcass will catch a nice price. Get him!"
*for the record, I'm saying the Moonsea is salty. I know the moonsea is inland, but most of the things thst live in it are also found in Faerûn's oceans, so I'm operating as if it's a saltwater or at keasr brackish body, not unlike the Caspian - which is my point of reference for most maritime matters of Mulmaster. It is a tidal water body and waves will create a salt spray over pretty well everything, especially a town on the eastern shore of the sea.
<I'll try to get a map up ASAP> the elf is 20ft feom Sam. The half-orcs are closer, probably 10ft. The unconcious woman is on the ground around them (so maybe another reason not to fireball that spot - up to you, of course). Chadderly despite being local probabky doesnt know what the shark teeth signify, per se. However if he can identify them as such, he probably has heard the name. So, @Brian_Avery, make a nature check to see if you know they're sharkteeth. (I dont expect there is any combat advantage to be gained here, so dont let this check interfere with flow of posts). If he fails it, someone else can correct him after making their own check, assuming anyone discusses the matter>
Edit: by the way, those are docks with moored boats on the water up top. Orange rectangles are 2 story buildings (I can mod the height if there's any reason to, but 3D combat in Owlbear's 2d maps has had middling results, still if there's a mechanical reason to, I'll happily reassess this.)
<Sorry, I didn't really pay that much attention to starting distances- the I tension is that round 1 you can engage in melee. Yiubshould be close enough to do so, but out of sight. I probably should have moved Sam farther up to achieve this. At any rate, for round 1 just make your speed enough to melee the half orcs- that was the narrative intent.>
Edit. Yup. I just measured and you're all at the corner of the building. 30ft will get you to right between the 2 of them. Everyone can share that corner spot as a start, in stark violation of RAW.
Gravity will attempt to sneak inside the adjacent building through a window and command the steel defender to follow her. She uses her movement to move closer to the unconscious woman, just at the other side of the wall. She is preparing to cast Cure Wounds on the woman while Socket tries to watch her back (reaction: deflect attack).
"Hey lady, you need to wake up and cover your unmentionables." She will repeatedly nudge the woman using the tip of her boots, but eventually she will kneel beside her to do a quick checkup.
Socket boosts Gravity into the window but then finds itself unable to climb in. As she tries to help her ferrous companion, the Wright of rhe construxt pulls her back out the window and she lands (prone) on the street beside it.
(She can still use half her movement to stand and move. Edited.)
Whilst climbing rhe window, Gravity observes that the building is a warehouse filled with crates. Busy dockhands move to and from porting crate and barrel throughout, though there are only a few in sight, the tall rows of crates make it hard to guess how many there might be. As it happens, both the ones she saw were half orcs. She doesn't think they noticed her
And as a bonus action I will telepathically command Mister Fancy to take the Help action by distracting the elf. (Whoever attacks the elf next will have advantage.)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Gravity will use extra action (action surge) to dash out of the building. She will release the suppressed healing energy to burn the wounded area of the woman by snapping her fingers to generate sparks. 9Healing
Angus runs around the corner and immediately charges Half-Orc 1. Having overheard the conversation, he has little doubt of what has and what is about to happen, and his righteous fury is ignited.
(BA) Shouting the prayer of Blinding Smite he savagely swings his sword at the blackguard. (First attack to hit does extra 17radiantdamage and victim must make DC 15 CON save or be blinded.)
First longsword Attack: 15 Damage: 15 magical slashing
Second longsword Attack: 20 Damage: 12 magical slashing
Angus will draw his longsword and charge around the corner, hoping this isn't a trap.

The elf leads the charge, drawing his rapier and slicing at the reptilian attacker. 19 for 10 piercing, 16 for 9.
He disengages and withdraws before flinging dagger held in his off hand 25 for 6.

Chadderlay's INT (Nature) check: 14
Chadderlay will step out from around the corner and stand menacingly in full view of what is transpiring with the elf, orcs and prone woman.
"Stop! In the name of the Red Wizards, what is going on here!"
Then Chadderlay will take the Dodge action.
