From the shallow water, Sam feels something pulling om his legs, but csnr see anything. It's as if the water is climbing his legs, encircling hus waist, constricting him, but can't quite encircle Sam's large frame.
Putting initiative aside for a moment, what are you planning to do? The meatgrinders patrons are pouring out onto the streets of Wardentown and Chadderlay is being stabbed by a layman. Now there's a flail snail and something in the water.

he looks at the spear men remaining “you boys aren’t going to live this without my help not with two of them” he starts to move and stand a move away from the new threat “so we doing this or not”
(Angus is on top of the outcropping, so not down on floor level of the arena? and the gate slid upwards, blocking his view of both Sam and Snail? Are there any guards about, and if so, what are they doing?)
The only guards are outside making sure people pay the cover charge. They wouldn't be clamoring to get in but even if they wanted to they'd have to fight their way through a wave of fleeing patrons clogging the doors as they flood the streets of Wardentown.
And yes, Angus is about ten feet above the arena.
The dustman floating upside down above Sam yells "Huh? Two of what? There's just one snail." The spearman beside Sam adds "We've naught to fear from the likes of that slug, arcanist. 'Tis ye it'll mash to pulp. Your magic tricks won't work on it." He calls ou to the distant dustman, "Behind the snail quickly before that caster above can target you, too!"
<Sam can still take an action. I count dislogue as continuous and I wouldn't have asked for the persuasion roll. How hard woukd it be, do you think, for a large creature to scale a ten foot wall?>

Cryptic Gravity
Gravity will tap the surface of her shield with her bare hand so that a magical defensive aura extends from the gear to offer additional protection. If the wolfbrothers are observant, they might see a glimpse of fur-lined gloves that disappear without leaving any trace.
She will summon a number of floating spectral blades that slash at the nearest wolfbrothers. Then the ghostly blades transform into multiple parts of a larger shield to provide sanctuary.
If Chadderly drops Sam. He falls back in the Meargrinder arena, taking 3 bludgeoning damage.
(It was 3. Just wanted to add: flail snail should have had AD on that AoO, ends at the start of his turn, but inthink it hit already, otherwise tell me and I'll roll to hit again fir AD)
<@inkedbee, I admit I was confused at first how 3 spells one turn, then I realized the shield spell is not mechanically being cast until an attack hits. However, when it is triggered, the spell is cast and this ends Sanctuary. So, I am rolling all the Wis saves befire atracks here, but the first atrack than hits obvisted the need for any that follow.>
