Once the party is gathered at the entrance of the cave, “we don’t know where the Necromancer, or anything else, is in here” he says pointing into the cave. “The Rule of Taggart works for me. I’ll check out the cavern with the chasm first” he says. He continues with “Give me 30 seconds and then follow. Keep coming when you get to the corner, but wait at the entrance of the chamber and I will come back to you.” “If you hear a whistle come running” he finishes with.
Kvothe sets off at a slow pace examining the floor, walls and ceiling of the cave for anything out of the ordinary or that has changed since the party left the cave about 10 hours ago. At about 60 feet he disappears into the darkness. He proceeds around the corner and continuing to move slowly continues to the Chamber. At the entrance of the chamber, he pauses and looks around.
If he sees something he will wait for the party to catch-up.
If he sees nothing he will move into the chamber and keeping his back to the eastern wall, will move cautiously around the outside of the chamber until he is opposite where he estimates the cavern entrance was. He then makes his way back to entrance of the cavern.
Kvothe's Perception 17
Kvothe's Stealth 23
OOC - I estimate it will take Kvothe about 2 minutes (maximum) to make his way around the outside of the chamber to the halfway point and then back to the chamber's entrance.

At about 60 feet he disappears into the darkness. He proceeds around the corner and continuing to move slowly continues to the Chamber. At the entrance of the chamber, he pauses and looks around, the chamber looks the same as it did before. You see the chasm before you that has the smell of Brimstone and you see heavy steam rising from it. You don't know how deep it is from where you are standing.
Kvothe puts his back to the eastern wall and begins to make the circuit around the room, trying to find anything out of the ordinary. At one point you come close to the chasm and you can feel intense heat coming out of it. You look down but since it is dark in the room you can only see 60' due to your darkvision everything after that is pitch black. You can hear screams coming from the chasm as the echo around the chamber you are in.
Kvothe makes his way back to the group in the hallway and informs them that he found nothing before he heads up the hallway to the next room.
Kvothe passes the hallway that leads to the death room and it continues up for another 20 feet until the dirt ground turns to sand. You are on a sandy beach that leads to a large lake with an island in the middle of it.
The beach is rather long and across the lake is an island that has a twenty-foot tall ledge. At the edge of the beach on the island are 5 skeletons with bows staring at the entrance to the hall where you are standing but they don't notice you. On top of the ledge, you see flames shooting into the sky in a strange pattern. The whole room smells of death, decay, and brimstone.
As you look at the beach where you are standing it is littered with bodies.
Kvothe goes back to the party and explains what he can see. He says "I can get over there" as he shrugs off his backpack and takes off his Leather Duster. A pair of bat-like wings unfurl from his back and what appears to be a tail can be seen flicking back and forwards. "If anybody has an invisibility spell it will make it easier for me to approach from the rear. A distraction would also be nice" he finishes with. He turns to Yellow and says "it is over 60' to the undead so your spear shouldn't light up when you get to the beach."
so after a swim we have to climb 20’ up to get into the center area that has skeletons with bows ready to shoot us. We need to find a way besides swimming to get across. Are there any boats on the beach?

Panwan looks at the situation and turns to Taggart, "No the island has a 20' high area in the middle of it. The Skeletons are on the beach at our ground level. It looks like there is 65' of water between the beach we would be on and where the skeletons are. 25' away from the skeletons is where it goes up 20' and in the middle of that is where the strange design of fire is shooting in the sky."
Panwan turns to Yellow and smiles. "Chevall, if you meant what you said about vengeance I can take you with me to the middle of the island." He looks to the rest of the group," I can only take one person with me so no I can't get you all over there." He looks back at Yellow,"So what say you?"
"An interesting proposition, though I suggest you go with more support. Taggart, can you levitate yourself like you did at the ravine? If so, I suggest our suddenly-winged friend Kvothe here, tow you along with him when he flies over to the island. From there, he can leave you in the sky (above the ground of course) or bring you to the ground with him as you please. Swimming seems to be the only option for the rest of us." Thinking for a minute, Ezio continues, "Here's the plan, should you all be agreeable. Those of us that must swim should do so now, under the water. We'll aim for the right side of the island. Krav you should surface within quick striking distance of that skeleton furthest on the right and strike them all, repeatedly. Kaslo, you be further to the right still, out of melee range with the archers. You're spells are the most versatile of ours in combat, so support as you see fit. I will be beyond you, I will go directly for the mage. Should we be detected by the archers, and we will be sooner or late, Panwan and Yellow will teleport immediately into their midst to disrupt them, again coming in somewhere on their right. When I engage in the mage, which should be sometime after the others engage the skeletons, Kvothe and Taggart take off and come to support me, from the right side as well, though I know that may displease you. Taggart, you should levitate before combat starts so that you may provide supporting fire from the air as soon as I engage."
Panwan looks at Ezio for a second and laughs. "You're a funny man of little power. You don't even know where the necromancer is and how do you plan on getting across the lake and climb up the mountain after you get past the skeletons? No, leave the Necromancers to the ones that can actually get the job done."
Panwan turns to Yellow. "Let me know when you are ready to go and I will bring us to the top of the mountain and we can get justice done for our brothers."
Ezio looks to the man with a twinge of annoyance, "We have a warrior with a shield that protects herself and others from projectile weapons, with a spear meant to slay undead, and you wish to take her past the skeleton archers to fight a mage? It seems your excess of power comes with a lack of good sense. If you do not wish to cooperate with my plan, you can at least take someone else with you to fight the wizard and leave Yellow to fight were those of us with "little power" can benefit from her the most. I, again, would be the best candidate for that. If you can hold the wizard's attention, I will be able to kill him quickly. Should he turn on me I have prepared several spells to protect myself from physical and elemental attacks. Alternately, Krav could probably kill the wizard quicker than even I could, given his previous performance, but, again, his skills are best suited in the melee against the archers."
Ezio's annoyance he replaced by his customary grin, "Of course, I have no power to stop you and you will do as you please per the usual, so don't let me hold you further, we will catch up." He finishes with an elegant bow.
Panwan turns to Ezio and smiles for the first time towards him. His eyes turn into little balls of flames as he speaks in a low voice. "On second thought. It would be my pleasure to take you with me Master Ezio." Panwan says with a deep bow. Panwan puts his hand on Ezio's shoulder and Ezio can feel power building up within Panwan. His body begins to vibrate and the air in front of you begins to shimmer, you can smell brimstone coming from the shimmering air.
Panwan looks towards Yellow and grins. "As the mighty Ezio has said. You are better needed to help fight the undead while Master here will take care of the Necromancer. According to him, he will be able to kill him quick."
Panwan turns towards Ezio and his hand tightens on his shoulder. "Say when Master."
Ezio says a word in sylvan while returning Panwan's smile in equal measure. The brimstone is briefly overpowered by the smell of lavender and a Panwan feels, almost hears, a low hum traveling up the arm that rests on Ezio. The pseudo-noise is like the sound of a struck tuning fork. "When."

Yellow nods at Panwan stoically at his first suggestion, then scowls as Ezio begins to speak ill of her superior's orders. As the two banter, Yellow looks down at herself and then glances at her shield. She turns to Panwan and says, "I will act as a diversion." She looks around the group. If the rest of you can quietly begin swimming across, I will stand on the shore and get the archers' attention. Hopefully, I will keep them busy while the rest of you cross. Once you are all safely across, I can join you as best I can.
