Zachariah looks appreciatively at Ahkmenos. "Thank you, brother. I would be happy to help you carry supplies. I may not be good at planning, but I have a strong back." He then looks at Eku. "Kind Eku, you say it rains every day in the jungle? So if I purchase a rain catcher and have four water skins, I should be able to stay hydrated, correct? Four water skins is two gallons."

Eku gives a warm smile to Zachariah. "You have a fifty-fifty shot it rains in the jungle each day. So lets do the math. One waterskin equals a 1/2 a gallon. So 4 waterskins equal 2 gallons. As long as it rains and the party has a rain catcher or two they should be able to fill up throughout the day as needed if they do not have a rain catcher they could always just open their mouths and pray enough water falls into it to satisfy their thirst. So, in theory, you are correct Child."
Also maybe we should talk to the dye man. If we come across any of his plants along the way we could pick them up and save them for him when or if we return.
Tyrannosary, is Ahkmenos saying all of those things? If not, they would be better posted in the group PM or on Discord. Plus, putting them in red indicates to us that Ahkmenos is saying those things aloud. And if it's true, he's being pretty pessimistic, saying "when or if we return."
Thor takes in this information, and realizes he has a little bit more stuff he would like to grab before the expedition starts for himself.
“What about a beast of burden? I know we discussed taking boats to the camps but upon returning maybe we could get a dinosaur to help carry our equipment?”

Greggor is unnerved by the idea of leaving his armor behind, it has save him on more than one occasion. Not being by any means agile, he has grown attached to his second skin.
Though, given how uncomfortable his first day has already been without being on the march, and the large amount of supplies that will have to be carried...
Greggor looks at Zee’s lightweight gear and considers Ekus words. He decides his strength is better served carrying supplies for the party.
“Zee, is there place Greggor may store his armor vhile on dis expedition?”
Greggor, you could get yourself some studded leather armor if you'd at least like some protection. It'll only work for you though if you are proficient with it...

Zee turns to Greggor as he asks her a question. "You could trade it in to get light armor and I am sure they will give you the difference in gold back. As for storing it, You could rent a room for a month and leave it in there I guess." She shrugs.
Alright so we have plenty of water catchers for sure. Tap, let's go into town and cash in the gems. I think the only thing we'd need to buy collectively for the party are health potions. We'll probably want to buy 5.
So we'll want to buy the potions first and split the gems among each other to trade for items. We can all cash them in for gold when we finish shopping to get the most value possible out of them.
The way I will be doing food and water is as follows. If it rains, it will take the party 1 hour(Short rest) to fill all the water skins by using the rain catcher. If no one posts they set up the rain catcher I am assuming you forgot for the day.Everyone should carry four waterskins or two one-gallon jugs etc.... Enough so that when you use the rain catcher you can fill your 2 gallons worth for the day. It Rains on a 50/50 chance each day. If it doesn't rain you guys WILL have to post how you are going about trying to find water and drinking it.If you do not I will just assume your character was too busy thinking about Zee's ass(Greggor) or trying not to getting eaten by a dinosaur and you just forgot to drink. In that case, I will ask for a roll.
If you wish to forage for food(hunt/fish) then you MUST say it. Otherwise, I assume you used your rations for the day. I have access to everyone's sheets. I will be keeping track. If you do forage you will need to make a survival check. So make that roll in your post and I will tell you what happens.
This module is supposed to be a brutal hex crawl hence the stricter rules for food/water and encumbrance.
Traveling: You pick someone to be your navigator. I will roll each day a d20 and add the navigator's survival bonus to it. If someone wishes to be a co-navigator then that roll will be at advantage. Eku's survival bonus is at +5 so you can decide if you want her as the navigator roll. You have a chance of getting lost every day but you won't know you are actually lost until you succeed on a good navigation roll for the day. Once you pass then I will show you on the map your real location compared to where you thought you were.
If I remember something else I'll edit this but notify you guys by spoiler to check this post.
Well, I can carry my gear just not very well. Maybe some of the stronger big guys would be willing to help us out?

Alright, I guess we can buy 2/3 rain catchers for the group then with our funds.
and thank you Zachariah, your help is much appreciated.
Ahkmenos will need help carrying his supplies when we go on the adventure, till then he can manage.
Ah, nevermind. I guess we've already purchased some rain catchers. I guess we can cash in the gems we have and split the gold like we said before.
Is everyone ready? I have a few more things I want to get after we split the money amongst us before we leave.
Also maybe we should talk to the dye man. If we come across any of his plants along the way we could pick them up and save them for him when or if we return.

"So how many rain catchers do we have so far?"
"Eku said one or two rain catchers would be enough for our party," Zachariah adds, looking around to see if anyone is answering Kaslo's question.

Tap looks at Greggor strangely for several long seconds before turning to the others and displaying his one waterskin and one rain catcher.
"I have a few more things I want to get," he said while shaking his waterskin indicating he would purchase more himself.
OOC: I laughed so hard when I read Greggor's dialogue.

Krav raises his meaty hand.
"I have 2 watercatchers," he says.
A good thing I don't wear armor, he thinks.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Alright so we have plenty of water catchers for sure. Tap, let's go into town and cash in the gems. I think the only thing we'd need to buy collectively for the party are health potions. We'll probably want to buy 5.
How does that sound everybody?
Just a heads up. If you're buying things with the gems you get full value for them. If you're cashing them in for money there is a 10% fee to do that.
