As Greggor looks about the room he thinks to himself: This is a warband, strong and hearty and great in number. Not anything like stories I've heard about 3-4 fools wandering into the wilderness guarding some magician in a dress. Though I wonder how Tap and Ahkmenos will fare in a fight... still, they have greatly increased our initial payment, something I did not think to ask...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"So... Payment ve haf. Dis is good. Baht ver do ve stardt?"
Already approaching the wealthiest he has ever been, Greggor is excited to see what other treasures, and what challenges await on this journey. Though he attempts to not appear too naive or excited. (Deception 17)
Tap looks at Krav as he contemplates the dwarfs words, he hadn't been a treasurer in his previous flock, but he had a general idea of their function. "I’m in for whatever--Tell us more of vat you wish for us to do." If he was going to into danger with these people, and the reward was more than enough reason to do so, they would need to trust each other, they would need to be flock. He would serve the flock as needed, it is the Kenku way.
OOC: From an RP stand point, Kenku can't come up with original ideas, but they can do what they're told or something they've witnessed other's do. From a player standpoint, I haven't done it before, but I don't mind doing so. I assume I just need to keep track of our group loot.
Kaslo peers over the nap, then points a stout dwarven finger on it. "By the looks of it, Port Nyanzaru is the largest port and city. We're going to need to find a ships passage there. Syndra, have you any recommendations for a ship to take us there? If not, we can just ask around the docks".

DM's Note: In the notes section of your character sheet you can put the gems and how much they are worth etc. Gems are going to be very valuable for you guys because they have no real weight to them and won't encumber you, And all merchants take gems and will give you change for them. As for cash that you get. I would assume you guys just split it up right there so it gets put on your sheets for encumbrance purposes. You guys are going to have to make tough decisions later on while in the jungles.

split 9 ways, that is 111gp each with 112 going to our new treasurer (decimals going to they guy doing the tracking?)

Syndra gets up from her chair and walks to the map. "So you have decided to take up my quest? That is excellent news indeed. When you are ready to travel I will teleport you to Nyanzaru. By boat, it will take you almost a week to get there if the weather is kind. I am afraid I don't know how much time I have left in this world. I have been to Nyanzaru on more than one occasion and there is no chance of error teleporting there."
Syndra walks over to the desk, in the corner, and pulls out another map and places it on the table.
"When you get to Port Nyanzaru, an old friend of mine Wakanga O'Tamu will help you. He is one of the seven merchant princes of Nyanzaru. There is another party member that will join you as well when you arrive. His name is Elvoril. He is a Half-elven warrior. He is with Wakanga now. I sent him there yesterday."

OOC: Yeah, you can probably just put it in "other holdings" in equipment.

Only split this 8 ways. But this is in gems. It is not gold. I would suggest figuring out what you plan on buying with it(hint, wait until you get to Chult) and then split up the remaining gold when you get the change from the gems.
The other guy has his own money he was given. So he doesn't need to be included in just this initial 1000 in gems.
OOC: I think divi it up now, makes it easier, everyone manages there own portion.
It is in gems, you can't really divi it up unless you go get them cashed. And for this OOC chat you guys should really use the private message chat we have.
Greggor has never been very trusting of Arcanists, the thought of being "Magicked Away" makes him noticeably uneasy and sweat starts to bead up on his brow.

Tome of Annihilation: Greggor - Level 1 Human (Variant) Fighter
Yes, that's more like it! I'm sure you're well experienced in adventuring yourself and must figure this'd be plenty of gold to give us. Do you by chance have any weapons of low value you'd be willing to give us from your days of adventuring? Nothing of real value, just daggers, shortswords, shields, etc...?
If not that's alright, you've helped us plenty today.
Roll for persuasion (I'll do this with advantage since I'm assuming Tap'll help): 1822
Ahkmenos will then turn to the party.
Alright! I'm ready to head out. How about you guys?

She won't give you anything else until after the quest is over.
"Too long have I sat idle--I have an itch to scratch--I am also excited for this adventure!" Tap says as he grabs the chest of gems and joins the others in preparing to leave. He was eager for the new experience of seeing Chult and was feeling restless after sitting indoors for so long going over the mission.
OOC: I'll keep the 1000GP in gems in my other holdings as the DM suggested. I'm assuming everyone picked up their 50 GP each in personal funds, so I won't count that. Like I said, this is my first time doing this, so I'll post in the OOC PM chat before I change the annotations on my char sheet. Right now I have "1000GP in Gems (Diamonds, Rubies, Opals, Jade, Onyx)"
Zachariah stands, slowly walking toward the chest of sparkling gems. "Praise the Lord," he whispers, not blinking.

Krav turns to Tap once more.
"Tap, would you care to be our treasurer? You seem to have the mind for it."
He smiles to show his sincerity.
And that's all I have to say about that.
