Kileprat will swing with both of her handaxes at the fake kileprat. "The imposter is here." She screams so everyone eise can hear where she is fighting.
To hit: 25 Damage: 8
To hit: crit 20 Damage: 11
(OOC: Open up the recruitment to the thread, after this fight, bring in a few more heros.. might be cool that you have some at level 2, 3, and some at level 1. I can see where that would be cool too. we lose a couple, we pick up a couple.. not hard to bring in new blood into this thread, and I would like to see it continue.)
DM: plan is to open up the campaign after the fight.
Your first hit strikes home and the second slams in as well. It seems to be real effective. ??? Stumbles back a step. (Crit does max damage total damage 25 thus round... nice)
(So last turn when Aino missed, she got within 5' of the ??? and so 10' of Kileprat, so I'm guessing with her 20 INT and 16 WIS, she could fix in her mind which one was the real one. Seeing the ??? disengage and then disappear to attack the real Kileprat again, she would see and hear the real one shout about an impostor and be able to run up with 10' visibility to attack the ??? instead of attacking her companion.)
(Also, to make sure, on its turn the ??? disengaged as a bonus action like a rogue or goblin can - so it could still use its action as an attack?)
Aino, with the real Kileprat fixed in her mind, moves up next to her to where she can see the fake Kileprat that came back from the fog to attack. She sends her owl familiar Thumbtack to fly in the fake one's face, taking the help before flying back (Flyby capability avoids opportunity attack).
Aino attacks the fake Kileprat with her rapier and Booming Blade at advantage due to the help
(Unbelievable, at advantage rolled a 2 and a 2, after rolling a 3 and a 6 last time... this is getting old. Might as well be rolling a d6.)
8 (2+6) to hit. Won't bother rolling damage.
Once next to the real Kileprat, Aino keeps her eye on her and gives her the 4-tap signal. Planning to stay next to her (5') so as to avoid confusion.
??? Can make 2 actions per turn. I'll allow you to move to Kileprat without making a check for moving through the Fog since we list to party members.
...
??? Will surprise attack Kileprat 14 to hit. Miss
??? Will then attack Aino 9 to hit. Miss
DM: even with advantage still a miss
Ok, got it. I had thought it was attacking twice per turn due to multi-attack, which still wouldn't let you disengage and then attack. It just lets you make 2 attacks when you take the attack action. But if if they don't have multi-attack, and instead take 2 separate actions per turn, then ok, they can disengage and still attack. Thank god they don't also have multi-attack or they'd get 4 attacks a turn (attack action twice with multi-attack on each).
As for Aino's move to see the real Kileprat - yeah my logic was - she moved to within 5' of ??? when ??? was within 5' of Kileprat (so Aino was 10' away from Kileprat) at a time when fog visibility was 10', so Aino could then see the real Kileprat and move next to her. You might be saying the same thing.
Finally - on ???'s attacks at advantage - sounds like they also have blindsight? Otherwise disadvantage from the 0-visiblity fog would have canceled their advantage, since ??? went after the fog. I guess it doesn't matter anyway this turn because they missed. Just making sure for the future.
No, I did not go reckless. Don't like giving advantage with low AC.
Totally your call of course! Just saying that when the enemy is already attacking with advantage (as just happened, per the DM), it might cost you nothing to attack recklessly, since advantage doesn't stack and they already have advantage. Of course, that might not be true next round.
Aino'sowl familiar Thumbtack takes the help action once more and returns to Aino's shoulder using Flyby. She stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Kileprat and attacks the nearly impossible to see enemy.
Straight roll on attack since advantage from help cancels disadvantage from lack of visibility due to the fog.
19 to hit. Damage: 8 piercing immediately. (Rolled on character sheet - visible in campaign log). PLUS 1d8 more thunder damage IF the enemy moves at all voluntarily before Aino's next turn due to Booming Blade
OOC: I just checked the campaign log and some jerk spammed the campaign log before Aino's roll with a bunch of garbage. Lame. Oh well. Edited to add: looks like CastanGoldhammer or whatever who now has an inactive character in the campaign. What a loser. Should remove them outright.
Moss is up
Kileprat took 4 damage, 8 minus resistance. Edit: Disregard that, I wasn't in rage until after I got hit.. I take the full 8.
Copy that
Sigh this campaign is losing momentum. Will give Moss till tomorrow to post.
Yeah, not sure why, great concept..
Moss will take the dodge action.
The Fog drops back down to 10 ft vis.
Grock will take the dodge action.
??? Will disengage from Kileprat and move to the mist. Kileprat as you turn to the direction it went.
??? Will come flying out of the Fog from behind you.
Nat 20 to hit dealing max damage 10 halved to 5.
Kileprat is up.
Aino, Moss, Fog, Grock, ???, Kileprat

Top of the order. Aino is up.
I follow ???, Do not want to let her out of my sight. I will keep her within 5 feet if at all possible.

When Kileprat sees Aino come close enough, she will also tap her hip 2 times.
??? Can make 2 actions per turn. I'll allow you to move to Kileprat without making a check for moving through the Fog since we list to party members.

"You can't hide from me."
To hit w disadv. 9 Damage -
Ti hit w disadv. 7Damage -
" Arggghh, or maybe you can."
@NonTyper, is Kileprat attacking recklessly (level 2 Barbarian capability)? If so, advantage from that could cancel the disadvantage.
Or maybe you didn't do that because that also gives the enemy advantage, but seems like they already have advantage from fog and maybe blindsight.
