Where Marrin might have been able to hit one of the slow moving undead coming up the stairs from the hold below, the faster moving pale ghoulish creature is a little too quick for that throw and the dagger clatters against the hull.
----------------------
Avaria and Jan are up.
Jan and Marrin are at the doorway, sidestepping to let each other attach from there. Avaria is squared off against the still uninjured ghoul on the port side, and Ula is between Ethel and the zombies (at this point, because of essentially only two can get at Ula, but there are at least four more behind them pushing to take the place of any that fall).
Avaria can feel the toxin from the creature's claws flow through her veins but just before she starts to feel a stiffening in her limbs, her savage constitution takes care of the poison. She's able to slash back at the ghoul, cutting it deeply, leaving one arm barely hanging on.
Jan's bolt looks like it's about to miss but the force of Avaria's attack pushes the creature just back enough so that the ghoul is impaled, ripping a large hole in its neck.
It looks a mess, but whatever power animates this creature, it's still very much on its feet.
The ghoul looks briefly down at its arm hanging nearly useless from its shoulder before slashing again at Avaria (21 to hit for 6 slashing plus another DC10 Con Save or paralyzed).
The two zombies in front of Ula attack again. Ula's able to dodge the first one, but moving to do so exposes her completely to the second one's attack. The second zombie slams Ula hard, briefly stunning the dwarf.
But worse than the damage, is that opens up just enough space for the other zombies to move forward, two push along the rail of the stairwell, and along side the pillar and into the the pile of garbage where the ghast lay unmoving. The two slowly clamber towards the doorway where Marrin and Jan stand, though the debris in the room slows them down enough that it will take them another turn to get there.
The two zombies behind them step forward and up to the top of the stairs. Two more make their way up the stairs but that appears to be it for now.
Ula strikes hard at the zombie she injured earlier. Her warhammer almost completely cave in its skull but somehow it still stands, ready to keep fighting.
The ghast lays unmoving on the ground - likely really dead now. The ghoul still battles Avaria but it looks like it's barely holding together. Two zombies still face Ula, one held together more by dark magic then muscle. Two are making their way through the garbage pile to get at Marrin and Jan. And four more push from the top of the stairs to get involved (in total there are 8 zombies).
In full control of her faculties again, Ethel turns on the ghoul, raising a curled fist to her mouth and whispering. A spectral, clawed hand reaches out to strangle the undead.
Chill Touch: 24 Necrotic Damage: 2
"Don't let them overwhelm Ula!"she cries.
[If no enemies are adjacent to her, she will fall back to put as much space as possible between her and the zombies. If enemies are adjacent, she won't move for fear of opportunity attacks.
Also, until I say otherwise, assume the Ethel casts shield in response to any attacks against her.]

Ethel's floating clawed hand strikes the ghoul, though something about the energy of the spell and the energy that keeps the ghoul alive are similar and the chill touch isn't quite as effective as Ethel had hoped. Damage is still done, and a stiff breeze might knock it over, but for now the ghoul still stands.
Had the ghoul fallen, Ethel would have had some where to flee to. But as it stands, she's safest where she is with Ula in front of her, the base of the mast (coming down from the deck above) providing a wall of sorts from the zombies heading towards the door, and the Avaria still keeping the ghoul's attention.
The ghoul looks like is about the shrug off Marrin’s insult, assuming she must have meant the ghast but seeing the ghast lying still and realizing Marrin really meant them, the ghoul collapses first to its knees then face plants in the deck.
Jan's bolt stabs into the eye of the uninjured zombie attacking Ula. With a sickening squelch it digs straight into the head and comes out the other side. The zombie still stands but it's even less steady than it was before.
(Marrin's insult finished it off - it was barely hanging on)
Avaria lifts up Ethel and moves her behind her so that she can get shoulder to shoulder with Ula.
Her greatsword cleaves down through the shoulder of the zombie, almost splitting it in two.
The undead sailor looks from its wound to Avaria, and for a moment Avaria is sure that the zombie is still going to come at her, but its eyes finally go dark and it collapses to the deck, unmoving (Zombie 2 dead).
The walking corpse in front of Ula (Zombie 1)swings it's one good arm at the dwarf like a club and despite her armor, it's clear Ula felt the blow.
One of the zombies (Zombie 3) in the row behind steps up onto the body of the now dead zombie and swings one of its arms at Avaria (17 to hit for 5 bludgeoning).
The two zombies that had gone around past the mast and climbed through the garbage and debris push their way through and make it to the doorway where Marrin and Jan stand.
They each swing at one of the pair. Zombie 4 strikes at Jan but a slight rock of the ship timed with a quick step from Jan results in the undead sailor swinging its arm at nothing but air.
Zombie 5 strikes at Marrin and so badly misses that it slams its hand into the wall beside the door, clearly injuring itself.
The three remaining zombies (6, 7, and 8) push and shove to get through to Ava and Ula but they can't reach through the two zombies blocking their way.
Ula takes a breath, pauses in her assault with her warhammer and speaks a quiet word in dwarvish under her breath. A bright, blinding light suddenly erupts from the skin of her hands and face and flashes into the zombie in front of her and in front of Avaria.
Zombie 1 collapses to the ground and stops moving, it's hair smoking. Zombie 3, the one in front of Avaria has been burned by the radiant light as well.
---------------------------------------------
Ethel and Marrin are up.
The ghoul, the ghast, and two of the zombies are down and six are left.
Two zombies are squared off against Jan and Marrin at the doorway, one zombie is in front of Avaria, and the final three are ready to step forward to get at Ula.

Ethel looks back and forth between Marrin and Jan, and Ula and Avaria. She decides it’s best to ensure a clear escape path back the open deck, and so she targets one of the Zombies near Jan and casts Chill Touch again.
”They’re slow and mindless! Outmaneuver them, rather than stand still and trade blows!” she shouts to no one in particular.

Marrin jabs her rapier into the chest of the undead crewman in front of her. When she pulls back the rapier, it's accompanied by a wet squelching sound as some of the zombie's innards come out with the rapier tip.
The zombie looks down at its chest. At the same time the one next to it, the one focused on Jan doesn't see the spectral hand enclose one of its arms. The already decaying skin darkens further, visibly rotting under the chill touch.
The two zombies by Jan and Marrin are definitely injured but still very much dangerous.

With enemies in close range, Jan switches to her dagger, thrusting up towards the soft portion of the lower jaw.
Dagger Attack: 24 piercing + 2 bludgeoning
((I don't think this is the one she put her hex on and shot a bolt in the eye of, but if it is, or if that one dropped and she's able to switch hex over, an additional 4 necrotic.))

Marrin starts assessing what she can do about the dead given she no longer has any effective ranged means of attack.
