(I lost track of the hex one as well - think it might have been the one Ula killed - will say the hex has moved to this one)
All of the ragged clothing hanging from the body of this undead crewman almost catches Jan's dagger, but with one extra push, she manages to get it through and cut a savage chunk out of the side of the zombie.
It's not looking very good but still in the fight.
Avaria almost cleaves an arm from the body of the zombie sailor in front of her. But while it looks like the undead creature is being held together more by inertia than sinew, it's still up and fighting.
The three reserve zombies jostle each other until one steps up and over the really dead sailor on the deck and makes a lumbering swing at Ula. Despite the protection her armour gives her, Ula still lets out a pained grunt when the arm connects with her shoulder.
The barely there zombie smashes it's body at Avaria. But the difficulty of standing on top of one dead zombie while trying to hit a target that doesn't want to be hit proves too much and Avaria is able to easily push the clumsy attack to the side.
The two by the doorway continue their assault on Jan and Marrin.
Likewise, Jan is too nimble to be caught out by the clumsy swing of the zombie attacking her (Zombie 4 looks quite injured).
Marrin on the otherhand isn't so lucky and as she tries to imitate Jan's footwork, she instead bumps into the one zombie and finds herself squarely clobbered by the other (Nat 20, for 8 bludgeoning) - Zombie 5 is still in this one..
Ula again forgoes an attack with her warhammer and speaks a quiet word in dwarvish. Bright, radiant energy erupts from her skin and flashes out at the zombies in front of her and in front of Avaria. Dark splotches of decay appear on the zombie in front of Avaria and it collapses to the ground unmoving (Zombie 3 is dead). Similar burn marks appear on the one attacking Ula but it still looks strong (Zombie 6 lightly injured).
Seeing that the team seems committed to fighting the zombies in a small, confined space, Ethel huffs in frustration and then hits the zombie near Jan again.

Marrin stabs through the zombie, almost pushing a rotting liver out the back of the corpse like body before retrieving her blade. This creature (Zombie 5) is barely holding together.
The spectral hand appears again and grabs hold of the undead sailor in front of Jan. Dark splotches of decay appear all over it's body and it collapses to the deck. It twitches as if to rise again but then stops, dead (Zombie 4 is dead - releasing the hex again).

Jan and Avaria are up.
Four zombie remain - Zombie 5 in front of Marrin looks ready to collapse, Zombie 6 in front of Ula is damaged but still looks strong. Zombie 7 and 8 have not been touched but are out of melee range for the moment. Avaria can step forward on top of the dead zombie in front of her to get at them, or can hit the one in front of Ula without moving.
((It wasn't rolling before, I tried to nudge it and got flagged, but 16 to hit, 10 piercing, 2 bludgeoning, 3 necrotic is what first showed for me if it ends up changing again.))

Rather than risk the zombie swiping at her when she falls back, Jan doesn't move too far. And in truth, moving more than a few feet back would prevent her from getting a good look on what's going on in the cabin.
She takes careful aim and her crossbow bolt flies true, severing a tendon in the neck of the zombie engaged with Ula. Its head nearly falls off its body but not quite. Like the one facing Marrin, this zombie is barely holding on.
----------------------------
Avaria's up.
Zombie 5 (by Marrin and Jan) and Zombie 6 (by Ula and Avaria) look about ready to collapse if someone blows on them. Zombie 7 and Zombie 8 are unscathed and are lumbering to take up positions to attack - single minded in their plans.
Avaria blows out some air in frustration as the zombie still stands in front of Ula. Not wanting her cleric friend to get hit again, she swings her greatsword at zombie 6 to hopefully fell another one.
Attack: 25, Damage: 18
She then stands on the dead zombie in front of her to get in front of 7 & 8 and block their path.
In the close quarters, Avaria doesn't quiet get the blade of her greatsword turned in time and instead of a slicing blow, her sword comes down flat against the zombie in front of Ula. The skull caves in, driving into the torso, with the continuation of her blow driving the zombie to its knees then prone to the deck. This undead sailor doesn't even twitch after that blow. It just lies there, dead.
The two unscathed zombies step forward and both slam their jerky limbs at the closest target, Avaria. But the awkwardness of the growing pile of zombie dead causes both of them to stumble before they can actually connect. Avaria only feels the swish of fetid air as both miss.
The zombie in front of Marrin again swings its club-like arm but misses Marrin so badly that it smashes itself into the door frame. It collapses to the deck but after half a second it lumbers back up, looking about as close to really dead as an undead zombie can.
Ula steps up next to her companion, and again lets the divine light of her deity radiate outwards at the two zombies. The steadier one in front of Avaria smokes slightly as the light singes its flaking skin but the other stumbles on the dead bodies and Ula's light misses it completely.
---------------------------------
Marrin and Ethel are up.
The zombie in front of Marrin (Zombie 5) is hanging together by a hair. One of the ones in front of Avaria (Zombie 7) has been injured. The last one (Zombie 8) is unharmed.
The other 5 zombies still lie unmoving, as do the ghoul and ghast, still all apparently really dead.
As it looks like they are finally making some progress, Ethel moves her spectral hand to the zombie nearest Marrin. The ghostly grips the zombie, trying to pull it over backwards to the floor and its final death.

Ethel's grim ghostly hand clenches around the neck of the zombie next to Marrin. It's skin festers and decays further than it already has. It slumps against the wall of the cabin, seemly at an end but a moment later it stirs and somehow keeps standing, still animated.
Ethel's features darken and the knuckles on the hand clutching her walking stick turn white, so tight does she clutch, when the zombie refuses to submit.
