Unsure what to think of the half-orc in the middle, Avaria sure knew a creepy ass zombie when she saw one and rushed forward to attack it. Swinging her greatsword she attempts to bring it down hard on it.
Avaria slips into the room, moving quickly, keeping just enough room between her and the ghoul in the corner and the mast on one side to keep from being slashed at as she does. Despite how quick this zombie appears to be Avaria catches it square in the torso with a hard slash. The creature is injured but she can tell by how it’s still standing that it’s much stronger than the zombies from before.
Marrin manages to find just the right sweet spot to drop her spell. The sudden loud ringing in the air can be heard by all, but had she misplaced it by even a foot or two, those in the doorway would have been affected too.
The half-orc winces from the sound, a trickle of blood oozing down from his nose. The ghoul (Ghoul 1) in the corner shrieks in pain, clearly feeling the full effects of the sound.
The undead creature facing Avaria moves quickly once it reorients itself after the sword blow. Its torn cloth covered fists slam out at rapid speed, once, twice, and a third time. The first two catch Avaria by surprise, causing her to stumble slightly. The stumble spares her from being hit a third time. (16 to hit for 6 bludgeoning, 20 to hit for 9 bludgeoning, plus need a DC12 CON save from Avaria).
The half-orc wipes the blood from his nose and looks to the doorway. He slashes one hand in a knife like cutting motion while he says something in a harsh language none of you are familiar with.
A shimmering spectral like knife appears in the air and slashes down at Ula who is visible in the doorway. Ula appears completely surprised by the appearance of the knife and fails to get her shield or hammer up to block the blow. The spectral knife digs deep into her collar, in a wicked, near lethal blow (Critical for 19).
One ghoul (ghoul 2) rushes towards Avaria in the corner, clawing at her side. Still stunned by the flurry of blows, Avaria doesn’t see this attack coming. (22 to hit for 7 slashing – and need a second CON Save – DC 10).
The other ghoul moves towards the doorway and rakes Ula with its claws. Thankfully for Ula, this time she manages to get her shield up and blocks the slash.
Knowing she’ll be of no use to anyone if she goes down now, Ula grabs her neck where she was stabbed and speaks quickly in dwarvish. A radiant glow sweeps out from her hand and into the wound, partially healing the cleric (Cure Wounds for 20 HP).
------------------------------------------------
Two CON Saves needed from Avaria (DC12 and DC10)
Jan and Ethel are up.
Marrin has moved to the side of the doorway. The injured ghoul is facing off against Ula in that doorway. The spectral knife remains up in the air. Avaria is locked in combat with the other ghoul and the fast zombie. The half orc has not moved from the center(ish) part of the chamber.
[Based on the description of where everyone is I am picturing a current layout something like this...
If that is close to correct, then Ethel's AOE spells would all do more harm than good...]
Ethel winces, choking back a frustrated scream as once again her allies rush forward into a meat-grinder of undead claws and teeth in close quarters.
She exhales, forcing herself to focus... lives are at stake. Trusting Avaria to handle herself, she instead turns her attention to the Half-Orc. Ula can't withstand much more of those punishing spells.
Ethel plants her walking stick hard on the deck and passes a hand over her eyes, targeting this... cleric? With a rasped incantation, she casts blindness on the Half-Orc.
[DC 15 CON save or he is blinded. He can repeat the save at the end of each of his turns.]

Without entering the room, Jan could sight on the half-orc or ghoul 2. SZ would be partially covered by Avaria and Ghoul 2 (Half Cover).
The half-orc sees Ethel move behind Ula. But Ethel then notices an opaqueness cloud over the half-orc's eyes and his hand moves out in front of himself, indicating someone who can't see.
As the barrage of attacks land on the shifter, she roars with Rage, succumbing to it once more. Focusing on the zombie in front of her, she attacks again.
Avaria connects with the speedy, agile zombie, but the force of that blow seems to have distracted the undead creature enough that it takes no notice of Marrin's insults.
It then pounds out at the angry shifter, chopping with one hand (miss), then next (to hit 17 for 8 bludgeoning) and finally with a foot (miss) - one more DC 12 Con save from Avaria.
The ghoul (ghoul 2), continues the assault on Avaria with it's clawed hands (17 to hit for 8 slashing) - DC 10 Con save from Avaria.
The blinded half-orc cries out in rage at not being able to see. He stumbles backwards into the far corner, wiping at the air in front of his face.
Despite his inability to see, the spectral floating knife slashes down at Ula, but it swipes down and wide.
The half-orc continues to look blind.
The ghoul (Ghoul 1) in front of Ula swipes its taloned fingers at the dwarf but misses, scraping the door frame instead.
Ula holds up her shield with the cresting wave image on its face and speaks a quick prayer in dwarvish.
As she finishes, those in the room can see that the three undead shy away from Ula. She steps further into the room and all three move towards the back corner where the half-orc is.
"They'll stay like this for a minute unless they get attacked."
(Good idea - will give Ethel some time to catch up before moving on)

"You know this guy?"
Marrin asks with some confusion.
((Presuming Ethel didn't have time to convey the contents of the captain's log before Ava rushed down?))
Initiative Order
Avaria, Marrin, the Super Zombie, Jan, the rest of the baddies, Ula, Ethel
Avaria and Marrin are up
"Do we really need to fight? Your boat is sinking."
Marrin asks the half orc while looking at Ava.
"He Who Continues in Perfection will see to my fate," the half-orc says as the undead stand fully up and focus on the party.
While looking at the half-orc, Marrin discerns a slight shimmering field of some sort of energy surrounding him.
Unsure what to think of the half-orc in the middle, Avaria sure knew a creepy ass zombie when she saw one and rushed forward to attack it. Swinging her greatsword she attempts to bring it down hard on it.
Attack: 25, Damage: 15
Marrin watches Ava run across the room to the super zombie.
"Should have guessed. Ethel, Jan, that orc is glowing with some magic."
Leaning in she looks at the ghoul to the right and then to the glimmering half orc.
"What if she is already perfect?"
She then drops a shatter between them.
((DC 15 con save or 16 damage (rolled in game log), half on save))
She will then step back to let Jan and Ethel forward and put herself out of sight.

The combination of the expertly placed crossbow bolt and the necrotic energy, sucking the life from the half-orc, leaves him barely standing.

Avaria and Marrin are up.
CON saves 18 & 15
As the barrage of attacks land on the shifter, she roars with Rage, succumbing to it once more. Focusing on the zombie in front of her, she attacks again.
Attack: 25, Damage: 11
Marrin leans into the doorway to assess the state of things.
Seeing Ava flanked she moves to enter the room but hesitates, keeping her spot and calling to Ava,
"I got you!"
Healing word: 8
She then switches focus to the SZ and comments,
"And I thought the zombies up top were rotten, you're just falling apart!"
(Not especially) Vicious mockery: 3
(DC 15 wisdom save, on fail damage and DA on its first attack))
((Thank you Marrin!!))
((Thanks to Ava for drawing all those attacks, Marrin's got her back ;) ))
Avaria connects with the speedy, agile zombie, but the force of that blow seems to have distracted the undead creature enough that it takes no notice of Marrin's insults.
