“Prepared but never used.” Juniper whispers. “One for Walter, one unnamed. Maybe there are more. The parents would have seen to their own final wishes before those of their children.”
Juniper peeks around the corner to the northwest.
A pair of crypts for Rose and Thorne should be around here too.
Vice looks around the area, but there is nothing to find. No footprint. No marks on the ground. Nothing of interest but the empty crypt and the name its lid bears.

"What a creepy place." Emma remarks to nobody in particular, keeping her voice silent as everyone else do. "Not at all what I expected, but I'm not so sure that's good."
While everyone examimes the left path, Emma doesn't really have much to do - except holding the light to help them see something, perhaps - so she waits for them to continue, while occasionally looking over her shoulder to make sure nothing jumps at them from behind. "I just hope that by coming down here we didn't jump out of the pan and into the fire."
"I believe that's the point." Vice says. That's why they had come down into the basement, to face the monster head on. Without anything of interest in the crypt room, he backs out and retraces his steps to the tunnel turning right, looking for possibly the crypts for the rest of the family.
Vice pushes past the group to head back down the passage heading in the other direction from the stairs. It doesn't take long to find another area with more crypts. These crypts look similar to the ones in the other area. However, the stone slabs for both crypts are placed on top of the crypts. A thick layer of dust covers the etched names making them difficult to read. It can only be assumed that the remains of members of the durst family lie within the crypts. Although, it is currently unclear whether these are the crypts of the parents or the children.

When Vice is done looking at the first pair of crypts, Juniper asks Emma, who seems to be close by, to shift the torch around the corner so she can get a clearer look. “Wait,” she says to Vice.
Juniper then walks 5’ toward the table. Does there seem to be anything resting on its surface? If so, she steps closer to investigate.
The table's surface is scratch and stained. However, from here, Juniper can see a slender hallway crawling with insects leads to a short set of stairs. Also, the stench of rot taints the air. Something shuffles about in one of the nearby alcoves that lines the room; a snarling in a guttural language better left unknown by the men of this world. It's a ghoul.

Vice turns towards Juniper, his eyebrows raised inquisitively. "What is it?" he asks, noticing her interest in the table. “I just found some more crypts down that way… I figure this is a family mausoleum of the sort.”
A sense of unease creeping up his spine as he hears the guttural snarling coming from one of the nearby alcoves. "We've got company," he whispers to Juniper. He takes a step forward, his hand instinctively reaching for the hilt of his sword, peering into the dark to see if the ghoul has noticed them.
Juniper screams at the sight, an abrupt, startled sound, flattening herself against the east wall in horror. “It’s a ghoul!! Stay back!”
In this narrow hallway, Juniper allows Vice to step around her to engage the creature. Now with Vice between herself and the unholy corpse-eater, Juniper keeps her shield up and will dodge.
After Vice passes back up the passageway, Star takes the route he has just left, down to the two crypts. He reaches out and will brush away the dust from the names, hoping to reveal who is buried here.
Hopefully he will have time to do that before the ghoul appears.
At the sound of Juniper's scream he will run back up the passage to the new room. If he is able to react quickly enough he will cast faerie fire centred to light up only the ghoul.
At the sound of Juniper's scream, the ghoul turns around. It's hairless grey body shows the strength of the creature. Its blue eyes meet with Vice's as it begins to approach. Growling at the half-elf.
Meanwhile, Star cleans the dust off the stone slabs resting on the second lot of crypts. He reads the name Gustav on the first crypt. The second stone slab bears the name Elisabeth.
After hearing the scream Star heads back up the passageway to meet with the others.

Holding the candle for Juniper as requested, Emma was standing right next to Juniper. The moment Juniper screams, however, like a loaded spring, Emma jumps back - almost bumping into Vice and Star on their way towards the source. Naturally, Emma would assume that some noise in the house's basement is a rat, or a bunch of them. A rat wouldn't have scared her away - most likely - but Juniper's scream alone made her jump, even before she called it a ghoul.

Juniper peers around the corner and finds a corridor that leads into a room. In the middle of the room is a wooden table that leans on uneven legs.
