Shayan vigilantly scans the fog for any movement and listens sharply for any sound as they approach and enter the village, "Do you hear that?" She hesitates a moment. "Not a sound. What is this place? Might have been better we'd run with the wolves."
Once they pass a house with open windows, she peaks inside, "Hello! Anyone home?"

"I do hear something, sobbing. Coming from somewhere..." Orlan focuses his senses to try and locate where the sobbing noise is coming from. He will cast guidance on himself before listening for the direction the sound comes from.

"I hear it as well, but I feel the need to remind you all what we are here for. We can't go getting distracted by every distress call we hear. I will come find this one if you all wish to, but I believe the mission we were given should come first."

Along with the others, Tuck pads quietly into the the darkened village, treading carefully across the slick cobblestones. Like the others, he, too listens to the mournful wailing, trying to determine its source through the eerie mists. Softly, he speaks to the others, "If this be a village, there's likely to be a gathering place or somesuch - village elder's home, tavern or the like. Mayhaps we'll find some answers there - or at least directions towards the Burgomaster. If we canna find the source of that damned sobbing, then I suggest we look for the largest building in this accursed place."
Watching the looming shadows and listening carefully, the little halfling treads deeper into the village, his faithful scout Luna circling above.

"Oh I hear you June. I am only listening in hopes to better avoid it. I agree we should continue on to our objective and steer clear of any other troubles along the way." Orlan continues to cautiously march along with the others, continuing to keep eyes and ears for any sort of trouble. He will also refresh Vigilant Blessing on himself. By the way, does anybody have an injuries they need tended from the wolf attack?
As you look around the seemingly deserted village you see, A single shaft of light thrusts illumination into the main square, its brightness looking like a solid pillar in the heavy fog. Above the gaping doorway, a sign hangs precariously askew, proclaiming this to be the Blood on the Vine tavern.
„I say let’s have a look in there,“ Shayan points to the tavern, „and see if they know where we find, hum, “ she is obviously struggling for words. „What are we looking for? Find someone‘s Master?“ She tries to remember last evening’s event and crunches her face, „Did one of you actually read the message that the guy brought to us? I remember seeing a letter. What did it say?“
"Well I was told honor and such was at stake... I completely forgot about the letter he dropped off. Would be nice to see what that would ahve siad but any ways we are here now. We may as well enter the inn to ask if anyone knows about this master of the messenger?" Orlan realizing in his drunken state, never actually looked at the letter dropped by the strange messenger.... he feels the fool as he walks these lands now
Inside the tavern you find a roaring fire in the hearth that drives away some of the chill. Besides, the innkeeper, the place is occupied by three brightly dressed men sitting together at a table. In corner near the hearth, you spot a young man in his mid-twenties sipping on a glass of wine.
As you enter the tavern everyone looks in your direction. The innkeeper stares at you with suspicion. The three men glance at you , then return to their conversation. The young man nods and raises his glass.
Orlan approaches the young man and pulls up a chair. "Mind if I sit for a minute. Looking for some directions on how to find the Master of Barovia. We received a summons and are trying to find this person."
Shayan followed Orlan but stands by the side and adds , “What’s the name of this village, anyway? Is this Barovia, already?” Then, she addresses the innkeeper, “One more of what he has.”
The man smiles and introduces himself. "Greetings travelers, and welcome to the humble village of Barovia. I'm Ismark Kolyanovich." He calls out to the Innkeeper. " Airik! Bring a pitcher of wine and clean glasses!" He turns to the Party. "Pray tell, what brings you to Barovia?"
Joining the others at the table with with the young man, Tuck nods at his greeting. "Well met, Ismark. As my friend Orlan mentioned, we received a ... message from a Kolyan Indirovich, says he's the burgomaster around here. We were hoping to connect with him - any idea where he might be found?"

Ismark smiles sadly at Tuck, Kolyan Indirovich was my Father, and he was the Burgermeister. He replies. Ismark turns to Orlan. " I believe you mentioned that you were summoned to this land. May I see the summons?"
OOC: Although I read the second letter we found, I don't think anyone ever opened the sealed letter in the very beginning - likely because no one character was presented it. By now, Tuck likely would have (due to his curious nature) taken a peak, even if he wasn't the one to snatch it off the table in the beginning, an oversight on my part.

I'm fine on health.

June looks around to make sure no one is watching/following them.
