Even the hardened warrior sucks in a breath at the overwhelming display of dazzling power by the deceptive half-elf. Seeing that one of the two monks survived, he will stride forward and use the greatsword to aid in securing the monk so they do not try to escape - or retaliate. (Action #1-grapple using Athletics: 17.)
If the monk escapes Grim will use his remaining 2 attacks to strike the monk with non-lethal blows (so no Wounding): Attack 1: 26 Damage: 8; Attack 2: 15 Damage: 16)
Brilliant moonlight strikes past the doorway and Katar sees the lifeless body of a monk fall onto the floor. He looks to see the other monk, wounded and restrained by Grimaldus. "They just saved us the time to find them. There's no haste to revenge, I think. Don't we want to have a chat first? There are ways to make the dead talk, but you have more leverage on the alive ones."
"You are right Katar, it is time for words now."Luna says grimly, glaring coldly at the restrained servant of Shar. "Someone should keep an eye on the priestess downstairs though, my magic won't hold her for long I'm afraid."
Recognizing that his invisibility is of no use to him and that he is sorely overmatched, the shadow monk becomes visible. His face lacks the proud disdain shown by the Sorcerer Priestess, but his words remain defiant. "I have nothing to add to what you already know. The moon is vanquished, and so too should be those who follow Selune. Those in the Moonmaiden's temple were asked to flee and never return. They chose to fight. They chose their death."
He offers no resistance to Grim, who maintains his might grip on the monk.
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the stairs, Zephyryn is able to confirm that Avaza remains confined within the web.
"Considering your hounds and associates attacked us without warning I highly doubt that statement. No matter, now tell us who else hides in this temple and what we will find up the other set of stairs and through that no longer hidden door downstairs?"The white-haired half-elven maiden says coldly, her blue eyes locked onto the defiant shadow monk.
"The other stairs lead to an exit...an abandoned warehouse. The secret door is not my business; you must ask Avaza about it," responds the shadow monk sullenly.

Luna nods and turns to head back the stairs to the priestess. "The hidden door over there, what will we find behind it? The truth now. I will know if you're lying." Intimidation: 30 Insight: 15
Luna doesn't detect any deception on behalf of the monk.
The priestess glowers at Luna and answers, "I'll not ruin the surprise for you. Open it and see for yourself. You need merely to place your hand upon the grey sphere that sits upon the pedestal. Do it, and the door will open."
The corner of the elf's lips twitches in an effort to be polite as Grimaldus lets out a mountainous laugh at his own terrible pun. Do humans all hopelessly enjoy such horrendous word plays? Katar steps up. He puts a gloved hand on the warrior's back, his touch firm and warm. "Yes... I hope it would be worth that."
Still chuckling the warrior steps up to the altar and places his left hand on the sphere indicated by the priestess, steeling himself for whatever may come.
Grim ushers the shadow monk down the stairs and hands him off to Zephyryn. The monk offers no resistance, accepting the fact that he is at the mercy of four very powerful individuals.
With his hand placed upon the grey sphere, Grim watches the secret door recede silently into the floor, revealing a small oval-shaped chamber. The walls of the room are lined with shelves that contain an abundance of vials, bottles, and other containers. Several shortswords--the likes of which you've seen upon the shadow monks--are displayed on one section of the wall. In the center of the room is a large table, upon which is a black sheet that appears to be covering something.
The white-haired half-elven maiden blinks twice at the comment from Grimaldus, then shaking her head slowly. Fortunately the massive dark warrior wasn't here for his wits. As Grim approaches the hidden door, Luna hovers to have an eye on the prisoners but also at the door, ready for any magical trap that may be activated.
Imagining Luna would hover in the southeastern corner of the room.
Grim exhales softly - so far so good...no sharp stab, no lightning charge, no poison darts...at least not yet. He looks into the room and then back to the group. "I think you all are up. I'll guard these two while you check out this room." He moves back to take control of the monk and watch over the priestess in the webbing.

Luna nods to the massive black warrior and hovers down to survey the hidden room, using the magic of her Staff of the Moonmaiden to analyze the magic auras of the hidden room, especially any auras around the large table.
Arcana if needed: 21 Also Trusight active.
(The web would disappear now so Grim would have to keep an extra careful eye on the priestess. :-)
Some of the liquids emit a faint aura of evocation magic, but nothing else in the room, including the room itself, shows any indication of being magical.
Waiting for Katar and Zephyryn to reach her side, the white-haired half-elven maiden then uses her divine powers to lift and cast aside the black sheet, ready for whatever dark secrets lies beneath. "Let us see then gentlemen, what surprise the priestess was speaking of."
Mage Hand, or Telekinesis if the black sheet weighs more than 10 pounds.

The wounded shadow monk is no match for Grim's strength; the fighter quickly has his opponent grappled.
Katar and Zephyryn may act.

Zephyryn watches the events with the monks placidly, not needing to get involved. His new allies were certainly formidable.
”I am happy to oblige”, he says to Luna and backs away down the stairs to ensure the priestess hasn’t fled.
His shield still equipped but his right hand free.

Likewise, the priestess's answer seems honest.
"It's never that easy. And based on the contents of the containers, there is likely a price in blood. Best let me try my hand at it."
"Get it? Try my hand at it?" The mountain of a man actually laughs out loud at his awful pun!
