As the party explains truthfully it seems something blu3 flashes in the eyes of the white ibis who nods at the tawny falcon and the armed gnolls who were approaching hidden amongst the market crowd stand down.
"Some advice," the white ibis begins letting go of Riw and levitating the spear into it's clawed, talon like, hand. "The truth is all we seek which your lies made you suspect," the ibis explains becoming more relaxed. "This is a powerful weapon of the gaurdians of the dead, " the begin again. "I advise you to also find better travel companions if the one who's deeds gained their ire," the robed aarakocra finishes leaving the party in a furry of robed with the spear in hand.
Gnolls linger for a moment until they too pul their hoods back up and blend into the crowd. The older gnoll who Riw was attempting trade with holds his hands up at the party and shakes his head.
Good news all around, the party can now walk unimpeded by Maitland's unconscious body and no longer need a cart to head to the palace of the Barakah-Set family! Which you know from conversation and the journals is through the market, the Temple Ward, and in the walled Royal Ward. The palace with verdant obsidian towers.
Leela lets out the breath she was holding and follows Selinae through the crowds.
As she passes a stall where a group of minotaur are purchasing foodstuffs, she slows and draws to a halt. "Ahh.. Do you mind waiting for a moment, comrades? I just want to see what they are selling here..."
She nervously joins the throng outside the shop and peeks over a shoulder and past a few bovine horns to see what is on the table attracting so much minotaur attention.
Riw turns to the older gnoll merchant: "Please accept my apologies, I didn't wish to bring any negative excitement on your head. Have a better day!"He starts to walk away but after a step he turns back - "Sorry, can you recommend a place where I can try the local cuisine? I got hungry after all this..."
(OOC - did the ibis take the spear?)

Approaching the denizens of her kind Leela notices they speak in a language unfamiliar to her. They look slightly different from the other Anjaran people in the market and seem to be keeping to themselves their patronage is also at a minotaur business. A tall lanky male bull with a scruffy head of black hair and gilded horns! He nods at you but the other minotaurs look at you curiously then to the party gathering behind you.
There's plenty of other harkers for wares about the market. A lot of desert essentially clothing and goods with some stalls boasting 'Aten blessed items' which are drawing a crowd. There are plenty of aromatic food stalls too. Some denizens are even pyshing around small carts selling from them all manner of foods on sticks or rolled in parchment of matted reeds. There is also an abundance of drink to be had from water to finer vintages of all manner of spirits! A honeyed mead and a hearty ale seem to be the most popular.

Leela opens her mouth to speak to the stall owner, then losing her courage, closes it again and returns to the group. She makes a shooing motion with her hands to encourage them to continue on their way, whispering "Never mind, never mind..."
Leela seems hard to read. The party travels towards the Temple Ward down the main thoroughfare towards two verdant towers in the middle distance accessible by a hike. The green towers, the finest amongst the other towers, are only matched seemingly in grandeur by the pyramids just beyond them! They travel for nearly twenty-five minutes through the market to pass through the entrance of the Temple Ward. There the party finds symbols of Aten throughout the structures as well as other lesser gods and goddesses of the Anjaran people. It's a wonder to behold the towering masses of a soft pink stone. As they reach the center of the Temple Ward they find the temple of Aten. An alabaster structure of such quality it is opalescent against the setting sun above. The structure shining like a beckon from without and within! The party continues to navigate towards the Verdant green towards ahead, that they know is the palace of the Barakah-Set family, and are meet with a walled area. The enclosure is the Royal Ward with the extended royal family as well as important members of the Queen Regent's council. The party knows the palace of the Ta'a dynasty is just beyond the Royal Ward in the shadow of the pyramids. A great complex defensible against invaders if the walls of the Royal Ward should be breached! Moving along the wall the party finds a line of denizens trying to enter the Royal Ward through a checkpoint. Atop the ten foot high wall surrounding the Ward groups of armed gaurdians patrol. A few notable with dragon-like beasts on leds! At the gate ahead too the party realizes the guardians there are talking to the line of people trying to enter the Royal Ward meanwhile beyond this eneterance gate seems to be another allowing crystal-powered carriages with emblems on the doors to pass through behind the wall by another group of guards mostly unimpeded.
Leela walks with eyes wide, drinking in the unfamiliar sights, her glance lingering a little longer on the minotaur folk she sees, but glancing away quickly if any seem to look in her direction. She bows her head respectfully at the temple of Aten as they pass, touching her amulet and murmuring a blessing.
As they approach the checkpoint, Leela turns to the others. "What are your thoughts on getting through there? Do we brash it out and act as tourists? The news of our interaction with those guardians might have spread."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Although sneaking in through the other gate with the marked wagons sounds very tempting, I think we should refrain from such ideas for now. As we have seen, deception is not so profitable here. Looks like we have to wait through the queue, or we can draw attention from the guards to ourselves and try to explain why we are here."
(Perception roll if Riw can see an approachable guard: 13)

”I was below decks, missed all the fun. But the captain was was truly grateful. The creature was incensed….it could have brought the ship down”
" I was also below decks.", ventured Selinae nervously.

Able to see above the crowd Selinae points the way towards the towers, " Follow me.", she said, very happy to not be arrested.
