As the captain rushes past her, Leela offers to create the Leomund’s Tiny Hut on the deck where the crew can seek refuge from the sandstorm but still see out and go in and out to complete their duties. "The only problem being," she explains, "Is that the crew must be within the area of the Hut for the minute it takes me to create, or they will not be able to pass through freely. I can protect nine of us in this manner, plus myself, as long as everyone is smaller than me."
Selinae manages along with the crew to get the sails down and protected. She is then free to join the others in the protective hut Leela will cast.
Onboard there are three crew and Captain Vanya. The captain once the sails are secure sends two of her three aarakocra crew below deck but one remains with her on deck!
The sands are driving now! They whip in the wind like tiny daggers pounding the sides of the ship and raking across the deck!

Leela casts leomund's tiny hut on the group around the captain's wheel to protect them from the sandstorm.
She grasps her amulet, gazing up at the heavens. Over the minute it takes for the spell to take hold, she sings in a low hum, almost a lowing sound. The 10-ft radius hut begins to take form, a soft terracotta colour from the outside, but transparent from the inside. The group feels an immediate stillness within, although they can see the sands swirling and blasting around the hut outside. The hut inside is dimly lit, slightly darker than the outside as to be able to clearly see what is happening outside.

Jenna stands shoulder to shoulder with the captain offering what advice and encouragement she can, a red neckerchief tied around her face to protect against the biting sands.
With the party working together, they succeed in protecting the ship and all crew/party from the storm! As an eerie calm settles the sands around the ship, the deck is now covered in sand. Adhida emerges using mold earth to push the sand from the vessel back into the Scorched Sea. Although the minutes of the storm seemed to draw out like hours the sudden hurricane winds stopped and the sand settles completely!
"Well, that was....unexpected, " Adhida says frowning as she looks over the party and then to the dome on deck turning to Leela. "Oh, good thinking," the mage says pointing out the dome and smiling brightly at the minotaur! "So, was it the dragon you think...." she trails off as Maanai comes to her side looking around the ship and adjusting their headscarf.
"I believe this desert is full of several lifetimes worth of deaths but I...I don't recall seeing a dragon, dear cousin! Where? " Maanai asks shaking sand off their headscarf and their robes having held the sands at bay so they did not fill the ship! "is....everyone accounted for," they call out to the party on the deck but before anyone can reply one of the aarakocra crew mates shouts pointing to the desert.
"Look at that," the white bird folk exclaims as the sand skiff approached the wreckage of a shipwreck crackling with electricity!
"The energy," Adhida points out! "I told you I thought I spotted a blue dragon in the storm," she adds next crossing her arms over her chest.
There are several figures scrambling out of the wreckage into the sand that has begun to swallow their vessel.
"Shouldn't...we stop, " Adhida says her tone apprehensive as she looks at the figure bloodied and broken in the sands below!
"I don't recognize what's left of the vessel," Captain Vanya explains. "I...I would stop but since you hired the ship I will defer the decision to you," the silvery aarakocra says to Adhida who looks to Maani.
"If we bring them aboard they can not know who we are or what our destination or task is, " Maanai explains as Adhida clutches onto their robes.
"Yes, we should help them. What if the storm had done that to us? What if they were targetted by the dragon," Adhida says before turning towards the party. "Should we help those people, " she asks looking over the group.

Leela's eyes widen with the mention of a dragon, and she searches the sky for any sign of one.
At the sight of the wreckage below, Leela gasps. "But of course we must help them! It is our duty."She half-runs to the side of the deck to take a better look, the hut dissolving into nothing as she leaves its walls. She peers down at the wreckage. (How far away is it? Can she see how many survivors and what kind of wounds they have? perception14 )
Jenna pulls the neckerchief down and takes off her hat, shaking off the dust. Then she looks from Adhida to Maanai "If we can help, we should. But we need to be careful....I mean it's clearly not an ambush looking at that damage. But they could still be pirates."

Selinae grinned at Jenna, " Pirates are fun.....a dragon not so much...."
" Lets help. If they are pirates we just clobber them."
"Yes, we should help," Adhida says before turning towards the steering wheel. "Captain can we help those people, " she calls out as Vanya nods her expression concerned.
"Yes, but you vouch for them," Captain Vanya explains as the skiff lists to the right turning around towards the shipwreck.
It takes roughly an hour to get the survivors aboard. As they come aboard their all in varying arrays of injured. Two of them are moon elves. One is a man and the other is a woman who looked remarkably alike with a blueish tinge to their skin and short-cropped white hair. Another is a dwarf in very fine robes with barely a mark on him. The third and final person who seems badly burned and unconscious looks reasonable human in their remaining features!
Adhida goes below as the survivors come onboard but Maanai remains on the deck beside Vanya.
"Quiet a storm," the dwarf begins shaking off the sand from their sweeping blonde beard. "We thank you," he says as the elves, who remain silent, nod.
The burned human is brought up by the dwarf levitating the body as they clutch a rod with arcane focus!
"Where are you headed," the dwarf asks looking around the Harpy curiously his attention slightly distracted by Maanai's masked face before looking at the other party members.

Leela ignores the dwarf's questioning, busying herself with tending to the injured first. She touches her amulet and hums a note to cast Healing word on each of the moon elves:
The first moon elf gains 5 HP
The second moon elf gains 6 HP
She turns to the unconscious humanoid and closes her eyes, humming the note at a higher pitch. The unconscious person gains 9 HP
Finally Leela turns to the dwarf. "Apologies for my lack of focus. Are you hurt, in need of healing?"
"Great beast came out of the storm. Much to your...heritage sir but a tad more fierce and unforgiving," the dwarven mage says lifting the nearly lifeless body of his companion as the other three just seem a little shell-shocked for a lack of a better word. "Caught the burnt of a lightning bolt," the dwarf explains the humanoids injuries.
Resting the broken human on the deck the elves watch the crew and party.
"I must confess I'm not sure what would of become of us if you hadn't stopped. Might have all been swallowed up by the desert or worse, " the man says smoothing his slightly singed beard! "Grimore Blazingforge," the dwarf offers Riwakan his hand. "Those are my shipmates the Greenbrier twins Ivy and Thorn," he points to the elves who nod at Riw, "and the burned gentleman is August Kessler," he explains introducing his own party now aboard the Harpy to anyone in earshot. "The...ah masked figure there," he says on a lowered tone siddling up to Riw gesturing to Maanai who's speaking with Captain Vanya, "they a tomb hunter," he asks with a cocked eyebrow.

The moon elf twins just murmur thanks before kneeling by the badly wounded man that seems to breath easier after Leela intervention but remains still their eyelids fluttering but not opening.
"You all travelers or seeking something," Grim asks the party, all who stand around his own crew.

She prays to the goddess for guidance. Does she know whether this is normal for a lightning victim? Does it look to be more than just the lightning damage?
While checking Kessler's wounds more closely, Leela spends a moment with her eyes closed, holding her amulet as she casts resistance on him, hoping that if there is something more affecting him than 'normal burns', the assistance will help him to shake it off.
