Sam is quiet for a second, a bit surprised that the moose knows Graham and will glance back and forth between the two.

Dr. Dan pokes his head around the corner of the door, saying, "Another dang mroose! This place is crawling with them!"

The doctor pauses for a moment. "Oh! A prainting mroose! Never seen one of them before." He cranes his neck to try to get a better look at what's going on in the painting.

Perception? 10

It's a very bad painting of a cave wall.

The moose gives you all a friendly smile. "Can I get you some tea?"

Graham's eyes widen "Perhaps you can first tell us how you know my name?"

"I mean, you've been coming to visit for months!"

OOC: if you've figured it out then Graham knows, but if not then couldya roll history?

OOC: My theory is that Graham has been dream walking or astral projecting but just in case Ill roll

Sam is silent, listening in to the conversation but also taking in what else is in the room.

Graham has indeed been here many times in his dreams, though he's never seen this moose before

Sam notices that this moose has impressive numbers of books on weird arcane cult stuff, sat on a bookshelf in a corner

Dan walks into the room, looking--and sniffing--around for something to eat, hoping to catch the sight of some farm fresh eggs. The doctor looks at Graham and says, "Sounds like you and this mroose have storied past!"

Dan does indeed see some huge eggs kicking around as it happens

Sam speaks directly to the Moose, "Well,...er....Ma'am, we are actually here for a reason.  We heard from the grapevine that maybe you could help us with this weather...and the groundhog?"

Graham starts to move forward, his eyes locked on the moose, waiting for her to answer Sam's questions.

The moose groans. "You've been talking to Goose, haven't you? He told that if you came over here I could help you out and bring Pete back to life, right?"

Dr. Dan nods mechanically, not taking his eyes off of the giant eggs. Though he's easily impressed, he seems even more impressed than usual. "This some place you got here, Mrs. Mroose. I heard in a dream that we can get that groundrog's blood a'pumpin' again."

"Yes Ma'am, that is correct.  Can you help with Pete?  And can you tell me why the weather is really bad?  I have to admit you are the second talking moose I have seen, and I have also seen a talking bird, but in all the previous years of my life I haven't heard of either.  So I have to wonder what is going on."

"Well I mean talking animals is actually really common. Things like the live-action lion king remake, there's no CGI in that. As for the weather, Pete was the predictor of winter year on year. By and large he did a terrible job but his life was innately connected to the weather and when he died, things stopped changing.

But me? I quite like the winter, it's pretty nice and there's no tourists trying to get into my cave. So I'm afraid I can't help you with Pete."

"Im sorry, what?! What do you mean you cant help?  We were literally sent to you!"

"Why on earth would I help you?" she says, rolling her eyes

"Well, this winter is going to start to kill a lot of people soon. And when they get desperate they will burn everything they can get a hold of.  The forest will be gone.  And even a moose must eat.  Spring is needed for things to grow."

The moose shrugs, pulling aside a blanket to reveal a lifetime supply of pizza. "Humans kill moose all the time in their big metal beasts, why should I care if some of them die?"
