Due to a lack of experience with Dwarves Teller cannot tell if Fargrim is speaking the truth or not. When Fargrim begins to read the note however everyone grew quiet to listen. "Your other two companions have been sent on a different mission for the time being. These two new provisional recruits will travel with you for now. I will be expecting a report when next we speak. I have been inconvenienced with an illness and have gone to the temple to see a healer and am now resting. I will meet with you at me earliest ability. For now please continue searching the sites on the map.
Lord Michael Hightower"
(I am going to assume that the side missions you were working on have been completed for now.)

"Since I've met Alan, he's been known to elaborate a bit on otherwise truthful tales... The fact of the matter is that yesterday we went in search or three children that had been kidnapped by a vile fiend. I'm afraid we were only able to rescue two of them... the third had already been sacrificed to the hunger of a monster. Solastor and I went out to make arrangements to return the bones of the poor child to his mother for burial... as well as ensuring that the boys remains would not be revived as undead. The family has been through enough, and we have yet to find their gravedigger father."
He quiets for a second before continuing, "Regardless, I think Lord Hightower is right. Given the monstrosities we've found at the other sites listed on that map, we should continue seeing what we can find. I might suggest the searching the bandit encampment next."
"Um, excuse me newcomer here, what are these locations your talking about right now? And this greater mission? Oh, and will we be getting paid for doing missions?"
Fargrim produces the map that they'd recovered from the orcs two nights ago and shows it to the newcomers. In the center of the map is the city, and there are a number of X's of various colors marked on it. "We recovered this map from brigands two nights back on our first outing. Here," he says, pointing out the red mark in the mountains, "is the goblin encampment where we encountered the vampire. This black cross in the plains near the city is the graveyard, where we encountered the mummy last night. Both the creatures we encountered referred to a Lord Arundial... I think he might be related to the blight of undead lately, and we're two for two on finding him minions at these locations."
"This blue cross near the river to the south is a bandit camp which the crowns guard have been unable to take care of yet. This green cross north of here is smack dab in the middle of the forest, where we have on the good authority of George the Kings Game Warden that the local fauna have been disappearing. Finally, this yellow cross, about half a days journey from here, points to an old ruin where many adventurers have gone looking for treasure. Most haven't come back, but those that have were empty handed and quite shaken... muttering incoherently about the many foes they encountered there... probably undead judging from what we've found at the other two spots."
OoC: That info was 40 pages ago. Goodness. Mental note: Take non-mental notes. XD
Teller gives a curious look over the map. "Well, regardless of where you want to go I will follow. I intend to perceive, experience, and record everything I possibly can about all of you. As far as gold is concerned, as long as I get enough to eat and keep my gear updated enough to survive I am fine. I am more interested in information and experience than anything else. For this I will have to agree with Alan; Orcs sound significantly more interesting than regular people." He then gives a deliberate look to his new found companions, "Speaking of recording, I would like to interview the both of you separately sometime soon. And, I am sorry to hear about the third child." He says he is sorry, but it almost sounds forced; it is difficult to tell.

"I'm not sure when we get paid... but as far as equipment is concerned, speak with Borric of the Iron Fist clan in the forge. He is a masterful worker even for a dwarf of my clan. Far, far superior to any human blacksmith you might find in the city. " With those words, Fargrim presents the Axe of Retribution to the party, flashing the ornately carved blade and giving it a swing away from the party so they can hear the way it sings through the air.
Teller presents most of his gear, a couple daggers and a hand crossbow. "These are the items I typically carry on me. They can perform decently when this cannot." He then presents a simple wand. Sturdy in make, but looks like a reinforced twig from a tree. With an elegant snap of the wrist he casts Dancing Lights. Four globules of light jettison out of the wand, and for a small humanoid shape above the table. "I have a few talents other than writing."
"Dwarves have little use for the arcane, but it will be good to have you with us, nonetheless. Alan, do you mean the orcs that have been causing trouble for the city? I know they haven't been able to take the bandit camp because of them, but do you have some more information about where they're located? Though we might need some reinforcements if we're to take on an entire orc warband. And what of you, Avery?" he asks, addressing the halfling as well.
“Ah well I’m more suited for the behind the scenes kind of work. Get in, get out. When it comes to face to face I like to use my rapier. But I’m mighty fine with my daggers and bow, plus I’ve got an eye for weaknesses in one’s armor. All of my equipment is pretty good, I’ve had it for a while now and it’s served me well. Not really willing to test my luck by switching em now, but maybe later we can talk about it. ” Avery shows off her equipment to the dwarf.
"Sounds like you'd be a capable scout; that might come in useful soon. So if no one has any objections, what do you say we head off towards the camp to the south? Maybe we'll get lucky and find some orcs on our way." Fargrim gets up, making his way out and only stopping to grab a piece of bread from the table. He hadn't eaten any thing this morning, after all.
Teller dismisses the Dancing Lights, gathers his equipment, and follows Fagrim. As they are walking he pokes his new dwarven ally in the shoulder, "Tell me Sir Fagrim, might I ask what some of your significant accomplishments are? You see I intend to record the exploits of this group, and I like to have a good forward for each starring character."

"Ye Tabaxi and ya stories..." Fargrim begins, shaking his head in frustration at the feline, "I've accomplished much in me time... led many dwarves into battle, forged many a blade, taught many a student the ways of war. That is the way for the Alaghor. We fight and bleed for clan and glory in the name of the Lord of Twin Axes, Clangeddin Silverbeard."
Fargrim pauses for a moment, turning to Teller. "See this scar?" He points to his face, where Teller can see a long scar over his eye and down his cheekbone, the jagged gash running down his face angrily until it disappears into the hair of his beard. "This was given me by some undeadthat dared attack me clan. And I intend to return tha favor to this 'Arunduil', wherever he be. I've a feelin' he has something ta do with tha undead scourge that's taken our lands."
OoC: Excuse the evolving dialect. Still learning to talk dwarvish
Teller listens to Fagrim with a fascinated ear, writing every word he says while walking. "Fascinating indeed, tell me, can you tell me more about this 'Arunduil'? How do you intend to make him pay? Do you require assistance in this? If so, what kind of help would you require?"

Arynn takes a seat near where the others are meeting up, contemplating what the vampire's actions are, and what it's "master" would be. He is obviously troubled by this, but hasn't divulged anything as of yet.
"Remind me not to make you mad." Teller says half jokingly, and awkwardly pats the dwarf's shoulder. Before hiding himself in his book and writing what Fagrim had said. "So, where are we headed?" And then he just starts walking.

Fargrim laughs, then sees Arynn, newly arrived and sitting oddly quietly. He grabs Teller lightly enough to slow his progress while he addresses the monk, "What seems ta have ya down, Arynn? Let's go check out tha bandit camp to tha south. Perhaps a good fight will cheer ya up."
