Anoushka narrows her eyes at Wreji as the ballista's bolt flies off toward the Moth, but her smile is real. "Is good you are not aiming, cursing is for convincing bolt to fly true." The bolt smacks the enemy ship a glancing blow (a 13 hits, as per DM above).

Round 5 - Still need Glim's attack with the ballista (with bless...) - or maybe not 8-D
Round 6(375') ; Moondancer (-87 hp) ; Star moth (-0 hp) - Pim aims for the creatures manning the balistae, but they are behind cover inside the ship and are harder to hit! Still, he manages a hit. - Nip aims for the ballista on the other side of the star moth's bow, hitting the hull with one arrow but managing to get the second one inside the port and dropping one of the figures manning it. ('twas the bugs that did it in!) - Anoushka improves her aim a little, this time causing some minor damage to the enemy vessel. - Wreji 'encourages' Anouska as he helps to load another spear-sized bolt into the ballista... - Glim aims the other ballista and directs the young townie to fire! (Attack @ disadv + Bless: 13 Damage if hit AC13: 14)
- Only one ballista returns fire (Attack: 11 Damage: 13), since you've managed to eliminate a lot of the support crew for the weapons! - However, in a new twist, a hail of arrows speed towards you from three armored figures coming out onto another open deck! Nip easily glides out of the way of the incoming arrow. The swarm was very agitated at this point and was driving Nip crazy with the buzzing. He continues to focus on the ballista crew and fires off two more shots.
Rolling in the game log since it says "Dice rolls not yet available for this section." I'm not deleting the previous post in case they come up, we can use them.
Nip drops the one figure previously injured, and his second arrow and gnawing insects finishes off another crewmember manning the ballista. There are only 2 of these figures left to man one of the ballistae, plus the 3 armored individuals.
Pim sends an arrow into the covered alcove to strike one of the remaining crewmembers, but the other glances off the star moth's hull. You can see the creature was injured, but did not fall.
Anoushka smiles to herself as she sings out to her ballista crew, "This is last shooting, after this, stand back." She aims, and fires the ballista at the Star moth.
In game log:
12 + 2 from bless is 14 to hit, for 28 damage! A nice final shot.
(Oh, wait, we are still at disadvantage for ballista range, aren't we... second die roll is: 20 so phew, not lower, so the 14 stands.)
Arrows bounce off Wreji's shiny armor harmlessly as he's unbothered and nods at Anoushka's words, visibly pleased with her aim. "Their arrows are weak like insects. Make em pay for their brashness!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
An arrow buries itself in Pim's leg, piercing deep into the meaty flesh. The disciplined warrior doesn't miss a beat, keeping up his steady barrage of fire on the incoming marauder.
Anoushka actually laughs at the arrow that was probably meant for her but went very wide of the mark. She waits, watching the distance close between the two spelljammers before deciding what to do next. (Need a range for the next round to decide on ballista or Eldritch Blast.)

The ships draw ever closer, and you estimate they will be close enough for their air bubbles to start merging in about 10 seconds (round 10), and close enough to board a few seconds after that (round 11). Pim drops the last two crew members manning the ballista, silencing the heavy weapons aboard the star moth.
“Good,” Anoushka says, as the other ship’s ballistas fall silent. “Now we fight.” She moves forward to the prow, eyes alight, one hand on the pommel of her sheathed sword. With the other hand, she points, closing one eye and looking for a target, even one peeking out from cover. Perhaps a captain?
(240’ range, no penalty for half or 3/4 cover, she will shoot two Eldritch Blasts at a target, preferably an officer or someone, but anyone will do.) Dice in Game Log.
23 to hit for 6 force damage 22 to hit for 10 force damage
Shockingly, Anoushka manages to not comment on Wreji’s shot, but her wide smile says it all. No, wait, she can’t help herself. “It helps if you curse at it,”she says, trying to contain her mirth.
