The short rest, food, and drink restore you and you feel ready for the trek back. Sildar bids you a quick and safe journey and accompanies you to the gate. "I will stay with the guards till your well away. Doubt not we will stand ready my friend."
Your keen Direwolf senses pick up traces of the scent you detected earlier when entering town. The trail seems to lead off the way you came. You are sure now you were being followed.
Travelling back to the north for a hour more you revert to your normal form when the that of the wolf becomes too much to maintain. Moving as quick as you can on foot, also enhanced by natures magics you see signs of some creatures passing. The fresh spore looks as though they had back tracked along your earlier passing and then deviated towards a a small stand of trees to your north east not 100 feet away. The prints resemble some kind of lizard, though quite a bit larger than any you have seen before.
As you inspect the tracks a deep rough voice behind you says, "Hello young pup, the spider sends his regards, and has charged me with ending your interference."
A huge Worg stands 30 feet behind you and it growls with hunger and glee. Its forelegs spread as its rear paws dig into the earth ready for a leap, "Would you like it quick, or do you wish to give me some sport this night!" The big creature taunts you in guttural common.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"If the spider wanted me dead, he should have sent the whole pack, not just one mangy runt...." Running headlong at the worg shifting into dire wolf form midstride to meet his Charge.
The Worg gives a joy filled cry, "Aha! Some sport at last" The Huge creature is surprisingly fast for its size and sidesteps your attack. Then it lunges in with a snarl and dagger long fangs.
Worg attack: 9 damage: 9
Its jaws snap closed on empty air.
"Hmmm, you're good young pup...That's why I brought friends..." and the big demon wolf howls.
Inhuman high pitched screeches answer from the stand of tress to the north east. Two large reptilian creatures break cover and come running to join the fight!
"My master brooks no failure, I am truly sorry that this has to be so one sided..."the Worg says as it bounds back towards its friends.
The two newcomers streak past him on talon tipped feet.
OCC: The Worg is now 50 feet away towards the stand of tress and the creatures that have emerged form the trees are moving fast and and are now 30 feet from you.

The Worg begins to slowly walk forward, "This will be over far too quickly, I will have to find other sport this night...perhaps the halfling we saw with you earlier?" It begins to growl and its eyes glow red, thick saliva dripping from its long sharp teeth...
OCC: No need for a strength check, I will save it for the next time you need to make one in this fight :)
You rise and attack the creature with the wounded leg. Your jaws snap shut over its windpipe and tear it out. The thing goes down choking on its own blood.
The Second creature attacks, its taloned foot lashing out!
Creature 2 Attack: 23 Damage: 11
The Warg rushes in eyes red teeth flashing, "And now we reach the end game, commend me to your ancestors pup!"
“I’m not finished yet, hell spawn i have a few more tricks up my sleeve, by the will of the luna herself i will end you this night, you wont lay a paw on that boy, but lets bring this back to a 1on 1 fight.... "
