(I was gonna say the closest of these unexplored doors, but the tunnel sounds interesting enough... more dangerous perhaps, but so does every other room in this house.)

The party heads down the tunnel. The stench is rancid. The disgusting stale water that's been painted black through ages of filth go up to their ankles as the party wades through the dark stone passage. They finally reach a room at the end. The room's door is rusted but not broken or stuck. It looks like it's been used quite frequently. The room itself is small but elevated so there's no water on the floor though the stone is slippery from moisture. The room is furnished only by a single rusted metal bed. The white mattress has been painted red and black by a combination of blood and other bio fluids. There are a pile of humanoid bones stacked on one corner of a room. On another corner is a strange shrine-like structure made of bones wrapped together with rancid cloth. There are arcane symbols etched on to the bone and various candles made from animal fat that most likely came from the various humanoids that the bones themselves belonged to on the bone structure. It seems pretty obvious now what happened to the various travelers that got lost in this area.
As for the skull shrine, you can roll Arcana on it to know more.
(Valwaryn will try to search for prints or a track that allows them to follow the creature. There must be a lot of them but who knows, he could pick the most recent one.
This room lacks any secret entrances or exits. Though there are plenty of tracks which belong to the creature in question, you can't track them further than this room as the stagnant water washes them away. ((Nice idea. Unfortunately it's one of the few locations where tracking isn't going to work))
Elsara will keep close to Val as the group heads down. She keeps a hand ready to bring her scimitar out in case of the beast showing its ugly face again. She checks the area for magical signatures as she surveys the room.
Elsara finds the runes on the skull structure to be familiar but the fact that it's mostly made by parts from humanoids is throwing her off too much for her to actually remember what the runes do. It'll come to her eventually probably.
Does anyone else want to try an Arcana check? Not Val though. He's busy searching for tracks.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(I guess fDevarus can try, though almost anyone else in the party being more magically inclined.)
Advancing only far enough to cover Elsara, Devarus cannot help but try to examine the markings as well. It was a long shot, as it had been many years since he last really got involved in anything remotely involving magic of any kind.
Runt remembers these runes. They were used by her tribe's shamans to protect multiple people from the evils of the creatures of the night and to bolster them for hunting. These runes were etched into bone amulets given to hunters before their hunts so that their attacks may strike true. However, the amulets were never reusable and did not bolster anyone for more than one minute.
After Runt gained some proficiency with the arcane arts after watching some of the senior students of Maldor's magic academy test their spells, she figured out the inner workings of the shaman's amulets. A technique known to decently skilled wizards (Level 6 and beyond) is the creation of structures called Hex Focus. When created, it allows the caster to cast one spell and channel it through the Hex Focus. Basically it makes the spell act as if the focus was the caster instead of the actual caster in terms of range. It basically allows a caster to empower their allies with spells like Bless or Heroism even if the caster himself is not with his allies by giving them one of these Hex Foci and channeling the spell through it.
So the bone structure here is a Hex Focus and a spell is being channeled through it though what that spell is, Runt is not sure exactly but it's safe to say that it is whatever spell that's blocking the door.
Runt gives a warning shout to her group to stay back as this may likely attract danger, but must be done. As she does this, she hefts her axe and smashes the thing to bits.

The Focus crumbles and releases a thunderous sound to her core (Dmg: 9 Thunder. No damage if CON 15: 20)). The sound echoes through out the entire building. The creature surely heard it and is heading your way.
"Most certainly! Everyone! Spread out as much as you can, and make yourselves ready however you can." Devarus said as he turned about and trained Scattershot on their entryway. "Even if that little stunt pissed it off, don't expect it to not be wily about its approach. So, be prepared for it to try to blind us. And if it does, aim closer to the ceiling or the sidewalls of the tunnel." The suggestion given, Devarus made ready to shoot at the first sign of the creatures approach.
"Worst case scenario, we make a break for the front door."

If the tunnel is the route, should Runt take point or guard the rear?

Can I please roll more than a 5 on an arcana check?

Well, with a roll of 0, it's pretty obvious Deva knows nothing about these runes. Anyone else want to try? If not what are you going to do now?
(To this point and with our rolls is either cry or burn the place down in frustration XD )

(If we do, we got a nice damp spot to wait in. We'd just need to figure out the whole smoke inhalation problem. lol)
(Anyhow, waiting to see if Runt would like to give it a go, being actually trained in Arcana, unlike this old man.)

EDIT: well I'll be an elfa surrogate daughter! Runt is proficient in arcana. Let's give this a go shall we.
